Was in here a few months ago. Never got around to leaving a review, but as I was leaving one for others in the area, I thought I’d share my two cents. NEVERAGAIN! My wife and I went here for breakfast on a Sunday morning. We waited FOREVER to be seated, which okay, it’s busy and I’m no stranger to this so whatever. It’s typical for the morning rush. No points off on this one. We were seated and a waiter who was barely paying attention to us took our order, brought our drinks, and… disappeared. We didn’t see him again after that. Over an hour we waited for our food and nothing came. Finally, we called for a manager who told us that our food was never put in. He was courteous and apologetic, but I don’t know that I buy that explanation. Where the heck was our waiter? Why had we not seen him since? Typically you come around to check on your tables. I don’t know if he went on break, took off for the day, or was cowering in the kitchen because he screwed up, but frankly I don’t care. It is a damn good thing that they did not make us pay for that meal. This isn’t a reflection on Ihop in general, their food is good as far as average breakfast chains go, but we won’t be returning to this one.

Definitely, one of the best IHOPs I’ve been too. Great service and the bacon omelette is life!

If i could give this place more stars i would. Our server, Debra, was extremely nice and even better at her job! The food was delicious! I ordered their new bacon crusted chicken breast and the chicken was cooked to perfection! Definitely way above average experience.

Unprofessional and immature waitresses ! Came here thinking it would be better than the one on Boston Turnpike… nope, not at all.

I am always amazed at how crowded this place is. My guess is if you went three miles down the road to the ihop in Shrewsbury there would be no wait. Count on 15 – 20 minutes wait here on a weekend morning. They do offer call ahead seating. The service is generally good and they move you through pretty quickly. One particular waitress, Debra, does a particularly good job if you are lucky enough to be in her section. They are named for the pancakes but I actually prefer the omelettes. Some of the flavored pancakes are good, but steer clear of the crepes — like Montréal clear. I’m often a little surprised by how big the bill gets for breakfast, but generally it’s worth it. Worth stopping in but plan ahead.

I am a fan of IHOP and this is no exception. The food is exactly as I expected. The service was good and the wait for the food wasn’t to long. I absolutely plan on going back. I suggest going in the early morning on the weekend bc it starts to get really busy late morning.

Stopped in for breakfast this morning. The hostess was friendly and welcoming and seated me right away. The server Deborah was very pleasant and efficient. The French toast I got was out of this world. Basically a cinabon French toast. So good. Try it and you won’t be disappointed. The manager even cleared my plates after I was finished. It’s refreshing to see a team of people work together to provide an exceptional experience. Great job!

Today my boyfriend and I were dying for some delicious food from IHOP. So we went there around 1pm to see that there was a 40 minute wait with several booths and tables open. We decided to check back later after we saw a movie and came back to IHOP for a late lunch around 4 pm. So we were seated right away which was nice, we were sat at our table and pretty quickly knew what we wanted. 5 minutes goes by and a table of 2 middle aged women sat in the booth next to us. Still no waiter came over to greet us however when we realized who our waiter was she was at the table with the two middle aged women taking their order. Still never came over to say she would be right with us. 15 – 20 minutes later still not even an acknowledgement that we were there. So we left, my boyfriend asked me to wait outside. He proceeded to tell the clerks at the front desk how we were waiting and someone was served before us and how the service was bad. Another person chimed in about how bad the service was that day too claiming it was very slow for a quiet evening. This was incredibly disappointing. Not only did we not get an apology but there was no need to be ignored. I will not be going back to that IHOP ever again.

Love ihop for a quick and typical breakfast experience. Last time I went, our waitress was very friendly and always checking in on us, which is always nice. Food was great, no complaints there. I like this location. Loveeee the pancakes as always !!!

So my girlfriend and I went to this Ihop in hope of a refuge from the busy bustle that is Saturday night. While I was satisfied with the openness of the seats on such a prime time night, I was horribly disturbed at the costumer service. Both my girlfriend and I ordered a breakfast combo but opted out of the sausage or bacon option due to our religious beliefs and the waitress scoffed at us, «are you serious?». this made both my girlfriend and I feel very uncomfortable. wont be returning to this ihop.

My daughter and I went there for lunch today and we sat there for over 20 minutes and nobody came over to take our drink order or even acknowledge that we were there. My daughter is only 1 and a half so crayons or juice would have been nice but nobody came by so we just left…

This was my third bad meal here in a row. My girlfriend and I decided a year or so ago(last time we ate there) that if the next time was bad, that would be it. We are done. 1st bad time: after 50 minutes of waiting for our food, a waitress(not even OUR waitress) noticed that something was wrong. Turned out our slip was lost in the kitchen. 2cnd bad time: I can’t even remember other than it just sucked. It was like a mélange of mediocrity… 3rd bad time: It was 7:00pm on a Saturday night and I had a bad day and wanted pancakes, whatever… The hostess seated us at a table adjacent to a baby in a high chair despite the fact that the place was half empty. 15 mins until our waitress made an appearance to take our drink order. 20 mins until food arrives. Mine(ice cold pancakes and breakfast sampler) is ice cold and sent back. When my food came back, and I am assuming everything but the eggs was just microwaved, it tasted fine. My girlfriend never got the soda refill she asked for and I had to physically walk to the hostess table where she, the manager, and my waitress were just standing, leaning, and chatting and laughing, to ASKFORHERREFILL. Shitty. Never going back. Oh, btw, on our way out, a frustrated cook came out of the kitchen to berate the waitresses for not paying attention to their orders. Good luck cook, they don’t give a shit.

Came for brunch on a Sunday while in town visiting friends. It’s an IHOP. So not much details required. It was clean & food was consistent. Our server however, not so good. Inefficient & spaced out.

Today, it was our third and final visit to this lowly place, from slow service, to wrong orders, there is something about it that we have not experienced in many other IHOP locations we visited in many states. The final straw was we got seated and when no one acknowledged our presence for over 10 minutes we got up and left, we asked for a manager and told him why we are leaving, he offered a cold apology and seemed indefferent about it!

Here for breakfast today on a Saturday. Expected it to be really busy, but it was not. I had pancakes and eggs and my wife got the split decision. Pancakes were ok but who puts whip cream on them — very disappointed when the arrived. They said that plain comes with butter only and any special pancakes(like choc-chip) comes with stupid whipped cream. French toast was great. Bacon over cooked. Hash browns boring and tasteless. Service was quick and friendly. I would have rather gone somewhere else. The waiting room was packed when we left. Timing is everything.

We came for breakfast. This is a newer restaurant, so it it much roomier and cleaner than some of the local i hops. We had Timmy as a server. He was super friendly, fast and a pleasure to deal with. The coffee was good as was the food. I got the bacon supreme omelette with the buttermilk pancakes. My husband and daughter got the ham omelette, my mother got the 2−2−2 off the senior menu and my son got the pancakes off the children’s menu. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the kids loved the balloon artist that was going around to the tables. It’s crazy busy here on a Saturday and if you don’t call ahead you can expect to wait 45 minutes or more. But if they guaranteed me I would get the same server again, I’d wait no problem.

First time visiting an iHop in over 12 years, and of course never at this particular location. Went with a group for a birthday outing, with the idea that most of the family and kids wanted«Breakfast for Dinner». Maybe it was the particular visit, but we had a server who was trying to be funny but honestly was more loud and overbearing. Fine, I can deal with that occasionally. But the food was just poor. Poor quality, poor presentation, whatever. I had powered mashed potatoes with a dinner that were dried out and looked like they had been sitting for hours, and our waitress actually delivered burnt toast to another person in the party. I know I was venturing into dangerous territory with not getting a breakfast of some sort, but there is no excuse for sending out burnt toast, and the server should have caught it. Later she noticed it has not been eaten, no apologies nor did they adjust the bill. You know, it’s pretty hard to screw up toast, and if your establishment specializes in breakfast, that’s just sad. Anyhow, no one else really liked their food. It was not horrible for the most part, just ‘bleh’. Next time I’ll insist we go back to our usual standby, Cracker Barrel, where not only are the breakfasts awesome, but the non-breakfast food is always great too.

Food was ok. Had to wait 35mins for table and 25 mins for food. Food ended up being luke warm, was probably waiting in the kitchen for the server to show up. Not worth the wait.

In honor of my visit, family members wanted to gather for breakfast. I suggested the old Shrewsbury IHOP. Somebody else ran with my idea and suggested the shiny new IHOP that they had just finished building up on the hill in Northboro on Rt 20. I was okay with the change of venue. Part of the group had arrived early, so when I arrived with my portion of the family, we just walked right in. There was a big crowd in the waiting area. I guess new shiny IHOP is popular with the locals. It’s not an old-school A-frame though. So, points off.(Just kidding IHOP) Greetings were had, waitress came over, greeted us, and handed us all menus. She left to get the beverages while we all perused the menu in somewhat-silence. Since my last IHOP pancakes weren’t quite as stellar as advertised; I decided to try them again. This time I went with the pumpkin pancake deal. Hash browns and sausages would be delivered along with my pumpkin pancakes. The family chatted, and got caught up on happenings and events. Before too long, our food was delivered. I was amazed with the amount our waitress could carry on her arms. She did have an assistant though. This time, my pancakes were delivered without the whipped cream on top, but in a tub next to it. There was also a tub of butter. I thought that was a better delivery. That way I could choose to use it or not. Since it hadn’t been beneficial on the last attempt, I opted to just use the butter. I put an oversized blob of butter in between the two pancakes, and then began working on the rest of the meal. The sausage & hash browns were good. The eggs were okay. It was pretty much the standard operating levels for IHOP. Everything is good. Before leaving, I went into the bathroom to wash my hands and empty my bladder. All of their urinals are set at ‘way short’ people levels. I found that interesting. I’ve been to places where everything was set at ‘way tall’ people levels, so I guess people do that. It’s weird, but they do it. Oh well. I returned, the bill was paid, photos were taken, and family went their separate ways. IHOP is good. They have a large menu that accommodates most hankerings. This particular one is shiny and new.
