Great service, sandwiches, and coffee selection! So happy we stumbled upon this little gem!

Called today to discuss some needed «nut-​free» cupcakes for an upcoming birthday party this weekend. The woman I spoke with was very accommodating. I provided frosting color tree users but am giving her free reign on what they’ll look like. I also asked for a strange request… which was to also include some unfrosted cupcakes for a «cupcake wars» competition for the kids at the party. She was more than happy to oblige and she even offered up ideas and will include some decorations for me to offer the kids to decorate with. I thought this was going above and beyond… and feel this is excellent customer service.

Tried lunch… leaves all over the floor, cake all over the floor… every table was dirty. Took 25 minutes to get a salad and sandwich. Served our meals without silverware or drinks ordered. Need I say more? Skip! Especially with the traffic of Westboro center. Not a quick stop for lunch.

It’s hard to find good bagels, but the Bistro in Westborough has them! Consistently good, freshly cooked food and friendly service. Also a good value.

Horrible service. Arrived one sunday for breakfast and wasn’t crowded. Waited ten minutes for waitress and the another fifteen minutes for taking our order. Another 35 minutes elapsed before half our order arrived. The food was overcooked and almost burned. Waited ten more minutes for the rest of the order and finally called waitress to inquire about order and told it was coming. Finally we said give us our check and walked out. I might mention the owners family walked in when we did and were seated promptly and received their order very promptly. Also the place was fairly empty but the tables were not cleaned from the previous occupants. My wife and I would never go back to this place nor recommend it to anyone. I might add we go out to breakfast every sunday but this is one place we’ll avoid. food was awful, service was awful and place was unclean. If I could give it zero stars I would,

The Bistro is a hidden gem of which I find many are not aware. The food is delicious and generously portioned. The Strawberry Pecan Spinach salad is full of all the things that make it special and is my go to dish. They go heavy on the red onions so if you are not a fan, let the know. One disappointment is that they use packaged salad dressing, homemade would be better. Everything I and guests have had here has been delicious, from the weekend brunch with omelette station to lunch specials, burgers and sandwiches (Turkey Pharaoh and Rodeo Chicken are two of my favs). The onion straws and battered fries are delish! There is a large selection of coffee flavors and a pastry case with desserts, muffins and bagels.
The staff can be a bit cool at first, but I have but found that they have warmed with time. The main reason they have not earned 5 stars is the hit or miss nature of the utensils. Everything has clearly been through the dishwasher and sanitized, but more than once I or my guests have encountered a utensil with a bit of food stuck to it, a plate that sophomore not have passed inspection and once, a coffee cup with lipstick I it (& no one at the table was wearing lipstick!). The items had clearly been through the washer & sanitized, but no one was checking them before they went out. The staff was appropriately mortified and apologized, and it has only happened a hand full of times in all the times I have dined here, but it doesn’t seem cause me to dock a star (if I thought the items weren’t clean or the restaurant wasn’t, it would be 1 star, not matter how delicious the food). The dining room and rest rooms are always clean.

This review is in regards to cakes from The Bistro, as I recently ordered a custom cake made by Liz for my husbands 40^th birthday roast. I was throwing the party on a tight budget, and was really turned off by the sky high prices of many of the bakeries around me. After reading some good reviews and checking out the prices online (Thank you for your transparency! I wish other bakeries would follow suit!) I reached out to Liz with my cake idea. I gave her a few notes on what I was looking for, and told her to run with it. When I picked up my cake the person who checked me out said «Oh, this is a good one» and boy was he right! She did such a great job with the décor, it was as ridiculous as I had hoped while still looking professional. The taste was great and the price was very, very reasonable! I will definitely order any future custom cakes from Liz.

Was looking for a quick breakfast place and found this off the road. Quality place, especially for the price. We got their breakfast sandwiches and coffee and we’re very satisfied with it all.
Obviously there are better breakfast places, but for the price this is a good place to get in and out.

Mediocre sandwiches that are more expensive than more flavorful options that can be found right down the street. The slight slick of avocado spread was pretty bland (add some salt), turkey was grocery store quality, and the tomato may as well have not been there. If you can’t source good tomatoes at a particular moment, just take them off the menu.

Great place for bakery items and for lunch in the Bistro. Very friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere.

I just had the best breakfast I’ve had in a long time. When you order eggs Benedict’s it’s a roll of the dice on how your eggs are cooked. At the Bistro my eggs were perfectly cooked. I can’t remember the last time I had a perfectly cooked eggs. The hashbrowns and they bacon were also a big hit. This is now my go to place for breakfast.

We go here regularly for breakfast on weekends and are very happy with the food and the service.

Been here twice now, thought we’d give them another chance. Lets start by saying that the breakfast is delicious and lunch is just as good. For that, we have given 2 stars. What gets me is why management keeps the wait staff. On both occasions we walked into the restaurant at non-​busy times. We stood at the counter waiting to be greeted or noticed, only to having to seek a staff member out and ask if we could sit wherever we wanted. That was a task, because even though the restaurant was empty, there were no clean tables. To sum up, Wait staff is extremely unfriendly, no greeters, no thank you please come again, tables dirty, food came before coffee, no check-​in, no pre-​bussing. This place has great potential, just need nicer harder working servers.

I’ve been to the bistro several times, and while the food is great, the service and general flow of ordering/​paying/​seating is a disaster! It’s sad to see a potentially awesome restaurant ruined by a lack of organization and insane amount of time it takes to get a simple item to-​go. The layout is strange and makes ordering awkward for the customers and staff — sometimes it’s as if they don’t even see you and generally don’t have a clue if you’ve ordered or paid or what. If they could get things in order I’d definitely be back more often.

I have subsequently been to the restaurant on at least four or more Occassions as it started out as good stories for the rest of the day. After a rough patch it looks like they have started to use gloves correctly. I have upped their stars to reflect the effort to properly use gloves. The last 3 times here I have had no issues and the food was done well.

We were going to have lunch at Arturo’s but it is closed for lunch on Saturdays. Why? Anyway, we were pleasantly surprised by The Bistro. One of us had a tasty omelet, another a veggie wrap and I had an unbelievable short rib sandwich which was made with melted swiss cheese, carmelized onions on a French roll — it just melted in my mouth — so delicious. Everyone loved their meal and we will definitely come back. I highly recommend The Bistro — good service, great food, and our lunch for 4 only cost $ 34 including bottomless coffee for all.

Came here for brunch with a party of 22 and they were great! Most got the buffet but I had pancakes and they were delicious. Brought home a cupcake from the counter which did not disappoint. Hadn’t been here before but would go back for sure.

Tried a Mediterranean chicken sandwich there (to go) and it was okay, just not to my personal taste — I think I’m just not a feta person. The sandwich is a generous size though. Next time I’ll try a different one.
