4 of us came here for lunch a few weeks ago and all enjoyed it. I got the tofu Banh Mi. My friends got pork Banh mi, pork bun, and tofu bun bowls. Nothing special/hole in the wall atmosphere but the food was really good

This is by far my favorite Vietnamese restaurant! I’m obsessed with their BBQ Pork Banh Mi sandwich and their Phở is really good too. All of their ingredients taste really fresh and the service here is wonderful and the staff is super friendly!

We’ve been eating at this restaurant from when they were at their old location, but didn’t get around to writing a review till now. But they deserve one! An excellent one! The food is really good here. Simple and fresh and totally tasty. The bread for the banh mi is really very very good. The family that runs the place is also super nice and everyone that works here is friendly and helpful and easygoing. The atmosphere of the restaurant is casual and quiet. Nothing fancy, but easy, simple décor.

Really tasty vegan options. Tofu sandwich and the veggie wonton soup were delicious! Friendly service. I would come back.

i rated this place on the food only. the pros: the food we had for lunch was very good. i had the chicken bun salad and my husband had the shrimp bun salad… on their website the meals are listed as 9. dollars, but in the restaurant they were 11. no bid deal… my salad had chicken that was beautifully flavored… it’s the first time I have had vietnamese food so I didn’t know what to expect. i can’t imagine it tasting any better that what I ordered here. it had the perfect proportions of vermicelli, bean sprouts, chicken, and iceberg lettuce. it was served with homemade fish sauce, which was strong yet delicious. we had hot oolong tea, too, which was so flavorful, unlike the usual black teas. The cons: i am not a fan of face piercings. the hostess had a few and for me, it’s a huge turn off when food is being served. she was dressed in leggings that had several holes in them, very sloppy. i don’t think she represented the place as well as she could have. she was busy with her small child and never greeted or seated us. on the other hand, the waitress, who was way cool!!!, took over and made us feel very welcome. she was very pleasant! this place has no atmosphere at all… none. it could use some music, art on the walls?, and a good cleaning. the floors were really dirty.

The people here push this place up from 3 stars to 4… they are SONICE! I fell in love with Banh Mi Saigon when they were in their old Hadley location, and for me the food has been a bit inconsistent since the move. The banh mi is good. Occasionally, I get too much inedible chewy stuff(fat etc) in the meat and at $ 8 it’s a bit expensive, but the flavors are great! I love phở and theirs is decent — not as good as the places on/around Dickinson Street in Springfield — but the best in the Northampton area(note that they don’t offer tendon or tripe). I haven’t loved the fresh rolls but that doesn’t seem to stop me from ordering them :)

Since they just hooked me up with a bonus banh ran donut, this long-overdue review is needed. They’re just fantastic, fantastic service, fantastic people, fantastic food(typically get the Banh Mi or Noodle bowls, never had a bad one yet!). Definitely worth going to when in town!

Best Banh Mi I’ve ever had. And I’ve had some from the NomNom truck off of the food network to many different restaurants from Los Angeles, California to Northampton, Massachusetts. And the phở soup is out of this world! The duck special was my favorite so far! Everytime i go with my family we always try something new and the food is always made to perfection! The customer service is always perfect as well. Thankyou guys very much! Keep doing what you do!

The phở is delicious, as is the mushroom tofu bahn mi. Local fixture of the Pioneer Valley. Best Vietnamese food around, at reasonable prices!

Pork banh mi… Pork banh mi… Pork banh mi… Do you think if I say it enough times it will just appear in Front of me? The only down side to this can be occasional lapses in consistency– sometimes a sandwich will have less meat on it– we’ve had the bun come hit and cold– the new chicken phở is just kinda weird in my opinion– BUT… The pork banh mi, beef phở, and chicken curry ANYTHING are in my dreams a few nights a week. I love you guys– I wish I lived closer, but then again, I’d probably be fatter if I did.

Just so-so. Unfortunately, recipes and things have changed over the years and while theres still some good stuff on the menu, much of what i liked seems to have been changed away.

I came here once two years ago, and the food was terrible. A group of friends wanted to try so I gave it a second chance. No improvements, even with the name change and all. Restaurant is still dingy and basic. The soup with the phở and noodles was incredibly salty, clearly to make up for the lack of flavor and quality. My «wonton noodle soup» had wontons that might as well have been bought as frozen dumplings, and deep fried. The noodles in it were basically instant noodles(ramen). None of the vegetables such as beansprouts seemed fresh, and freshness is one of the primary essences of Vietnamese food! This food is bad even for standards of Americanised Asian cuisine. Service was good though. Never again.

Overall a great experience. The staff were friendly and attentive and offered free ginger honey tea immediately after I was seated. The restaurant was clean inside and pretty busy for lunch on a Saturday, but the seating is rather limited so that might have played a factor. I ordered the pork egg rolls and beef phở(they surprisingly had several vegan options here). Everything tastes great, no complaints with flavors that’s for sure. I however only had five pieces of meat in my phở which seemed rather light and the napkins they had were extremely small/thin to the point where I had to put a few together to make them usable. Seems like a minor annoyance, and maybe it was, but it definitely stood out to me during my experience. I’d definitely come back here to get my phở fix if I’m ever back in the area.

I was very pleased/impressed with the food here. I had BBQ beef banh Mi and my husband had chicken curry banh Mi. Both were fresh and well presented. The restaurant itself is very no frills, but it is clean, the service friendly and the food outstanding. We will be back.

This place was okay — it was a nice spot to stop for lunch but I didn’t really like the phở broth. The meatballs were small and too chewy. The broth was sweet and salty but I wish it was one or the other. It was very unique but I’m not sure if I liked it.

No complaints. I had a chicken bahn mi. My wife had the hi ken phở. Both excellent. Reminded us of Vietnam. My only complain is that they only had Northampton water to work with. But I can’t really fault them for that.

Awesome sandwiches! I had the BBQ pork and the meat was marinated wonderfully, and the BBQ flavors were fantastic. My wife is vegetarian and had the mushroom Banh Mi and when I tasted it I was thinking; «if this was how vegetarian food tasted all the time I could be a vegetarian without a problem!» We also tried the wontons, she had the vegetable option I had the pork. The only problem with this appetizer was the size. Yeah I know it’s an «appetizer» but I think three on a plate is to small. It is a perfect lunch! I will update as I try other options when I come back:0)

I loved Banh Mi Saigon! I live in Atlanta, where there are tons of Vietnamese places with amazing banh mi for super cheap. I was pleasantly surprised to see that this place had opened in Noho, and even more surprised when I bit into that BBQ pork sandwichy goodness. The meat was really savory and flavorful, good bread, good sauce, and fresh herbs. My only slight complaint is that they put red onions on the sandwich instead of pickled daikon. Gotta have the daikon. It’s a nice, quiet atmosphere. Great for lunch. And the staff are all really helpful and friendly. Definitely check this place out!

Got takeout for the first time today and I loved the pork Báhn mi. Delicious. The pork is sweet and tender. The bread is perfect. You get a decent portion for the price.

I’m obsessed with bahn mi. I’m not sure whether it’s the crunchy, yet chewy bread or the pickled vegetables or the meat that makes these things OHSOGOOD. This place in Northampton is a small little establishment. You seem to order at the counter(I think? I did, but then I saw a guy sit right down for table service. I’m honestly not quite sure how this place works). The food came rather quickly(5 – 10 minutes) and was delicious. I opted for the Classic BBQ Pork Bahn Mi and it was delicious. I hoovered the entire sandwich in about 32.4 seconds. It was delicious. Have I said delicious enough? There are lots of bahn mi options(variety of fillings, including a couple tofu and mushroom options for those that are not fans of the animal foods). I’m excited to go back and try other varieties!
