Wingate by Wyndham North Little Rock

Booked this hotel at the very last minute and was able to secure a good deal. The hotel is located in a very busy commercial area of North Little Rock, AR. It can be found nearby a host of restaurants including Chuy’s, Whole Hog Café, and the Golden Corral. The hotel itself has been renovated recently. The beds are quite comfortable. The rooms are sizable and clean. Our room had a fridge and microwave. Very friendly front desk. If you sign up for their rewards program, prior to your arrival, you will receive a welcome bag containing, an apple, granola bar, and bottled water. Breakfast is standard hotel fare, nothing special, but okay.

Took 45 minutes (at 1030pm) to check me in. People at front desk didn’t even acknowledge we were standing there. Didn’t great us when we finally were at the counter, didn’t tell us where elevator was or even our room #, just handed us key

Expected far better from the Wyndham brand.
We were just passing through, selected this hotel based upon favorable Unilocal reviews and past Wyndham experiences.
Room was no better than a nameless highway motel. Dirty, not just ‘needs a cleaning’ but has suffered from neglect. Shower rod hanging loose, bent lamp, stained ceiling, signs of attempted break-​in, moldy bathroom. As an added bonus, there was a wall immediately opposite the window 1′ from the outside.
Not the worst I’ve ever seen, but easily in the bottom 10% of the curve.

Rooms are very clean. I was very pleased with the service at the front desk, and they have a huge jacuzzi tub. I had a great stay here.

I spent a short weekend at the Wingate, and it was my first time at one of these properties. The hotel lobby was the best room (which is typical for mid-​level hotels).
My room was decent and fairly clean; the toilet and bathtub were super clean, which I very much appreciated. I slept well in the bed and the temperature control was perfect.
There is free wi-​fi which worked really well in my room. (This matters because I’ve stayed in hotels where the wi-​fi only works in the lobby area.)
My room had a refrigerator but no microwave, and although there is no in-​house place to buy a late night snack; there are soda vending machines.
The best thing about this hotel is its location. Right off of the highway and near a mall and lots of shopping and amenities. If you forgot something a store is a short drive away and several restaurants are within walking distance.
As for service, the people I encountered were very nice but a bit scattered. They are not the «hop-​to-​it» types, so if you want that kind of attention, you may not be pleased.
This review is a 3.5 rounded to 4 because I got what I needed and the location was perfect for me.
If I traveled more, I would join their rewards program as there are a lot of places where a traveler can earn points.

I stayed here for 3 days while visiting family. Rooms were clean, comfortable beds and pillows breakfast, was good and hot and the staff was great. I want to thank Ashanti at the front desk. She is fabulous, always had a smile on her face and was very helpful in whatever you needed. I have to say my stay here was great. I will definitely stay here again.
