Tacos El Gordo

Such a good restaurant! Very clean! The food is amazing! They have an awesome ambiance!

I ordered two tacos beef and chicken and I didn’t like it. I also ordered fish ceviche and it wasn’t satisfying either it was mostly big chunks of tomatoes and nasty fish.

Its C-​OK. My subordinate and I went to this place thinking that this place would have traditional tacos (Al Pastor) which means rotisserie style. We called to make sure that they served tacos Al Pastor and the person who picked up the phone lied. The tacos were cooked on the grill which was very disappointing. None the less we ate there tacos al mano which were decent. I would rather go to the San Diego, original Tacos El Gordo.

I got the pozole and it wasn’t bad for the location being. I was a little skeptical because the area is shitty looking and gethoo Af but the pozole was well worth it.
The salsa bar needs a makeover big time.

So, this place is decent. Nothing fancy. Just your Tipical taco place. Don’t be surprised, it seems the owners are persian. They do have a Hispanic person cooking the Hispanic food and a persian gentleman cooking the Persian dishes.
I ended up trying their persian kabobs. The wait was about 15 to 20 minutes for the food but it was well worth it. Theh were cooked to order. The kabobs were juicy and tender and they sure give you enough. Probably on of the best kabobs I’ve had in the valley
4 stars for appearance and prices. I think they are a bit steep but again it is fresh. I can’t speak about the Mexican food because I haven’t tried it. One day when I’m around that area I will try it out.

I ordered my food before I went to the restroom and surprise I found live roaches in the restroom… I will never eat there again!!!

Good was fantastic! The only reason I’m giving it a four star is for the ambiance. Other than that, the food is just as good as the San Diego restaurant. So happy to know there’s one closer to home. Will be coming back for sure! YUM!

I just got the food from this place and I took it home and this is my first time getting food from here I can say it’s not the greatest it’s okay I would say my stake burrito I got didn’t really had the stake taste it was more of a beans burrito and had no flavor to it so if this place reads this comments and reviews they should work on it to improve the food quality I’m not gonna say oh it’s bad oh it’s no good like most people said I’m just not gonna come back here anymore:)

Al Pastor is the best! Very friendly staff, lady who works the front very sweet lady. Food and customer service is amazing.

The food sucks!!! Worst tacos ever. I ordered 2 tacos and nachos and they were very stingy on the meat. There was something about the food in general that didn’t taste good at all. To top it off I found 2 hairs in my nachos. One at the beginning of my meal and the other after I finished eating. I swear my stomach is turning. I will never come back to eat at this place ever again nor do I recommend it to anyone. They were also being stingy on the napkins. I only got one. I dont think this restaurant is related to the other Tacos El Gordo on Paxton in San Fernando because that place is way better.

If you like dirty burritos and tacos this joint is alright. For a nearby quick grab and eat this will do. I wouldn’t travel distances for this place, but it’s not all too bad.

Love this spot. They always keep it clean. They recently added some new tv’s and I like it! Place also looks like they remodeled it recently.

This is not the same El Gordo’s tacos like the taco truck. I believe they are using the same name but the food was horrible. 1 burrito, 1 torts and a drink for $ 21, yikes! Way over priced. The meat was over cooked in the tacos, the carnitas was salty as he’ll, and no guacamole salsa like the tacos gordos trucks, WTF! They do hive u salsa and it’s self serve but it’s so and I mean so water down, it’s like pouring water on your food. The salsa had no flavor. This place gets 21 thumbs down. I will never come again, taco fanatics and taco truck El Gordo livers, stay away from this shat hole. Just an FYI, the are graded a «B» by the city, ewwww. Wished I seen this before we ate.
On a side note, we met the owner. For some reason she decided to have a fight with her contractor while we and other customers are eating. Have some common sense lady, don’t fight in front of your customers. This place is just horribly bad. Save your money and but a cup of noodles instead. SMH.

I went to Taco El Gordo expecting quality food and all I got was an over price $ 8 regular size bad burrito that was not good at all. I’m never bringing my business back to this place again.

So disappointed when we ordered food to go.
Read the reviews and decided to try it out since it’s so close to where we live. Unilocal reviewers got this one wrong.

This is the best mexican food Ive had in years. YEARS. There was only one place Ive eaten at that was better and that one closed down a while back. That makes these guys top dog in my book. Very clean, very friendly, VERY fast. You would be stupid not to try this place. Considering you have thousands of options locally its a waste of time to go anywhere else.

Came here during the AM hours, ordered mine and the boyfriends food which both came with guacamole as the front cashier girl stated maybe 3 times. Just 2 plates and 2 small drinks came out to almost $ 20 (ouch). So we get our food and no guacamole on either dish. Now being a huge foodie and HUGE guacamole lover this really bugged me! I went up to the same girl and explained… she looks at me and says, «oh we dont have guacamole!» Ok, so you charge extra for guacamole but we didnt get any, so do we get money back or a free item? She just says «no». Seriously disappointed with thisplace! The service is horrible and the food for that price is mediocre. NEVER coming here again and i sure as hell dont recommend it!

The meat is perfectly seasoned and good quality, the tortillas are freshly, and best of all, you can fill yourself with ~$ 7.
This is what makes Mexican food so glorious when done right, and tacos el gordo certainly does it right.
The fresh salsa bar is also stocked with all kinds of goodies that other restaurants might neglect.
