A beautiful meal served by lovely people in a quaint environment. The veal saltimbocca was amazing

Nothing fabulous about this place other than the nice waitresses. Food was bland and expensive. We were the only customers there the night we went and the servers were both very pleasant but the food was gross. Tomato sauce tasted like the«Ragu» jarred sauce and the garlic and olive oil pasta with veggies was more like soup. Their soggy bread app was harsh to look at let alone eat. Sorry guys but for being a pasta place you got a lot of work ahead of you to live up to the standard!

Nadie’s… mamma mia! What an absolute true representation of an authentic Italiano family restaurant. Firstly, let me start off by saying we showed up certainly on the later side of a Sunday evening. The place stops serving at 9 and my party of 4, twin sister her husband me and my boyfriend, walked in around 8:45. The employees were more than happy to accommodate the late walk in, which in itself is a rare find. A lot of restaurants rush you out or explain«the kitchen is already closing.» Not nadie’s! The food was incredibly tasty and not super heavy on the stomach. A lot of Italian places, although quite delicious, you feel a little weighed down after eating there, these restaurants tend to cook with a «heavy hand.» Although Nadie’s portions blew my socks off in size, their flavor, seasonings, and quality were unlike many Italian places I’ve been too. Light handed, as I prefer, but maintaining powerful, elegant flavors. Being that I am first generation American, I have my qualms with eating out for Italian. However, every once in a while I want a nice Italian treat made well by someone other than my family. Nadie’s takes the GOLD. There’s something to be said not only about this restaurant’s food, but the way they run their business. Family owned and operated and absolutely proud of it. We met Quin who was quite the gentleman and incredibly friendly who gave us a little background on the restaurant. Their entire staff at some point in time came over very pleasantly to make sure we were all ok and share some homey small talk. They didn’t seemed bothered by our late dinning and made sure we were accommodated as needed. I love that I felt right at home here. Nadie’s staff felt like a long time family relative. Very impressed and incredibly happy I stumbled upon this place. Might be a little dangerous that we live down the hill from here! Check out pictures of some of the dishes we tried. Molto squisito!

We have heard about this place and knew it from when it was in Wayne. Its so close to us so we figured lets give it a try. Nice local spot with great people working there. Our waiter Quinn was A+++, very friendly and enthusiastic. Did I mention its BYOB, which I prefer in most spots. We were served freshly heated bread, and it was freshly heated, when I separated it the steam was coming off it. We tried the roasted beet and goat cheese also the rice balls for appetizers. Both were fantastic. The dinner specials we got came with the Nadie’s salad, served family style and they gave us ice cold plates.(Loved that). Entrees we tried two specials, the scallops over rigatoni and a crusted salmon with mushroom risotto. Both were quite good. For dessert we tried an apple pie crumble with homemade vanilla ice cream that also waa fantastic. I will return. Only one draw back, parking can be challenging in this area but well worth it. Again, kudos to Quinn our waiter who made our meal a pleasant one.

First visit to Nadies and we were not disappointed at all. The hostess and the waitress were very nice and we were seated right away. Starting with the bread and olive oil… very good… the menu was very interesting, but I always like to try the specials and I am glad we did. our dinners came with the Nadies salad which blew my mind. It was delicious and I never had a better salad. Then came the specials… my wife got the short ribs over risotto. It was amazing with the ribs melting in your mouth. I had to try it. I got the seared scallops over pasta with spinach, roasted garlic and tomatoes… it was out of this world. The food was amazing! And we just got back from Italy and we ate pretty good over there but this was outstanding. We will be back Bob R

Nadie’s Touch of Pasta is my favorite Italian restaurant by a long shot! I’ve never had a bad meal there. The owners are incredibly kind and treat you like family when you dine there. The starter salad you get is delicious. A lot of restaurants skimp on giving their customers a good salad, but Nadie’s isn’t one of them! They also give you delicious bread and eggplant that is similar to Baba ganoush, which is so good! My go-to when I go to Nadie’s is their veal, usually veal saltimbocca or veal valentino. I’ve tried a lot of restaurant’s veal entrees and I’ve never had veal elsewhere that is better than Nadie’s. The service has always been consistent any time I’ve gone there. Meghan, Quinn and Courtney are all fantastic servers! Another bonus is that Nadie’s is BYOB and the food is reasonably priced. You get a lot for your money here. I highly recommend Nadie’s Touch of Pasta to anyone who is looking for a nice evening out with phenomenal Italian food.

Oh thank you Nadie’s. You used to be in Wayne, but you left us years ago… but we found you in the next town and thankfully, we finally made it back. We’ve missed you all these years! We have somewhat given up on going out for Italian dinners because they are all pretty much generic and similar and we got bored. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good Italian BYOB place, but after a while, enough is enough of the same old same. Wellllll, let me just say that Nadie’s has awakened me again! My mom and I went on Wednesday night, around 6:30. When we got there, it was very quiet — there was a table with another couple(waiting on 2 more), and that was it for a little while; however, by the time we had left, the restaurant was about ½ seated and there was a party of 20 in another room. Quinn, our server(and whose family owns Nadie’s) came by to bring us some water, some warm bread and a special eggplant paste-type ‘schmeared’ bread… it was more like a garlic paste, so thumbs up on that! He told us the specials(AND gave prices, which is a big PLUS in my book — means that they have nothing to hide). The specials sounded awesome, but I had my heart set on «Liz’s Favorite» — rigatoni with warm, fresh melted mozzarella, chunky tomatoes, and perfectly cooked shrimp(and about 8 shrimp — they didn’t hold back!). It was a phenomenal meal — I couldn’t have been happier… unless I ordered what my mom got — the pasta primavera. She chose the rigatoni as her pasta and the garlic oil sauce. There were pieces of broccoli, carrots, spinach, peas, mushrooms, and lots of garlic. It will be my next choice next time(which may be tonight, to bring my husband back for the bracciole special — served with meatballs over gnocchi — yes, sounds hearty, yes, sounds perfect for the hubby!) OH — and absolutely must have their famous salad which is included in most meals and served family style!!! Pieces of salad greens(no iceburg lettuce — another HUGEPLUS), tomatoes, red onions, and a crumbled blend of pepperoni, salami, and provolone cheese on top. It’s absolutely amazing and you will be talking about it for months! It’s a BYOB, so we brought a couple previously open bottles of wine from home, and they supplied our glasses. Dessert was offered, but we just had way too much dinner — which isn’t a bad thing after tasting some wonderfully home-cooked pasta(and we took home some leftovers, which were just as good last night!). it wasn’t your average Italian restaurant, it was something completely different and wonderful. Can’t wait to go back and try everything on the menu!!!(total cost for 2 meals, $ 45 without tip)… Totally worth every penny!

Fantastic no frills dining. Your dinner will start with the salad but it’s a but more exciting than the average salad. Get it with the meat and cheese tossed in, fantastic. They quickly bring out some bruschetta bread that you’ll love. I have had many items from the menu and they never disappoint. As a previous poster said its BYOB so that will save your wallet as well. Try the pink sauce and you won’t be disappointed.

One of my favorite spots in the area… I am addicted to their fresh rigatoni and peas in a pink pepper vodka sauce! Also there pasta fagioli is hands down the BEST i have ever had! Its a down to earth, no thrills, no high maintenance spot that feels like home… Plus its BYOB! Its a must try!

Coming in here was like walking into a library. Lol very quiet ! The food was not bad but not WOW either. Saltimbocca was and shrimp scampi was ok. This place is not a destination, it seems like a local Wayne place where they all know the owner or something. Be prepared to wait as the dishes take sometime to come out and there were just 2 tables filled in the place, i cant imagine if its full. The waitress was thorough, if a little stiff. To their credit you get huge portions and a house salad which is really good.

Nadies is a very good Italian restaurant with a very good wait staff and a courteous owner. I usually do the take-out option because the place is a bit small and gets crowded fast. I enjoy the food more at home. Anyway my only reason for giving it 4 stars was because I got charged extra money to do take out just because of the preparation of my food. I didn’t even see it until I got home. I felt like this was a bit deceptive but I that’s my only complaint. Otherwise the place is good. Additional note: parking is a bit tight.

Unfortunately we did not have a great dining experience here. In addition to the glasses and silverware being unclean, the food was extremely lackluster. We started with a slice of untoasted bread that had some sort of spread on it that was full of jarred chopped garlic. It was pretty soggy and gross. Then came the calamari which I was obviously frozen. My main course pasta(I figured by the name that this would be their specialty) was watery, overcooked and unflavorful. I would definitely not return ever = there are so many other italian food options in this area.

This is the site of what was Scanio’s. Some effort was made to redecorate but it’s still quite dated and run down. The plates are plastic, the glasses were dirty or etched. The silverware was from a WW2 mess kit or something. The bread served at the table was decent but served with the little butter packets. Cheesy. The eggplant and garlic toast was soggy, cold and oily w TONS of garlic. Really not enjoyable. The calamari was decent but nothing we haven’t seen 100 times before. The fried cheese w/asparagus dish was, well, fried cheese drowning in a pool of vinegar. The house salad served family style was actually quite good. The entrees were for the most part decent but nothing gourmet. One pasta dish was quite bland and the pasta was overcooked. The server was very nice and friendly. In a word we found it underwhelming and I really can’t see where the 5 star reviews came from. It is perfectly«OK» but they are many better options for Italian food in the area.

Used to go to Nadie’s when it was in Wayne. Loved it then and love it now. We found Nadies again in Haledon after many years and tried it with a Groupon coupon. That was late last year so I don’t remember exactly what I(we) had except to say it was good and we were glad to find them again. We are going again tonight. Can’t wait!

Bought the groupon for Nadie’s, but had never been there. Went for a birthday dinner on a Wednesday night. Not too crowded so no reservations necessary. What we ordered: Beet Salad with Goat Cheese & Arugula– Very Good Stuffed Mushroom with Artichokes and Fontina Cheese– OUTRAGEOUS. Would have eaten the whole plate if I could… Liz’s Favorite(jumbo shrimp bake with rigatoni pasta, tomatoes and fresh mozz cheese– very good & rustic. Chicken Fettucine Alfredo– very fresh, chicken was very delicious. Veal Saltimbuca– good creamy sauce. Home made carrot cake– I am a sucker for this and it was some of the best I’ve had. We also got fresh bread, home style salad with our entrees and an eggplant tapenade bruschetta when we sat down. Wait staff was excellent, attentive. Our waiter was the owner’s son, was very knowledgeable about the menu. The whole staff sang happy birthday to my mother when her dessert came out too. My only criticism was that we did wait a long time for food. Don’t get me wrong, we were never hungry bc there was so much, but I guess since they were cooking all fresh, the entrees took a little while to come out. We were there for a long time, which i’m sure could hurt the table turnover on the weekends. Also, the portions were very sizeable, we all took leftovers home. I would recommend to all and go back again!
