I am not hard to please proven by my many 5 and 4 star reviews so understand when i give this place a 1 star it’s with good reason.
Staff seemed less than excited to be working.
I clearly asked for my bagel to be toasted and when I got it home it not only was un toasted but it was dry and seemed like a day old bagel. I tossed it after 3 bites.
Wasted stop.

For a coffee company their selection of coffee and specialities drinks is horrible. My wife got a cappuccino and it tasted like it was burnt. My Avalon blend was meh; Wawa coffee is better. Breakfast sandwiches were good, service was horrible and rude.

I ordered a sandwich, and told her what I wanted kind of got an attitude back and she still didn’t make my order right how hard is it to make an bacon, egg and cheese croissant breakfast sandwich. when you go out you want to get what you ordered she should have double checked my order before she made it that’s why I don’t go out and eat much not too happy with the service!!! I would like what I ordered and paid for. Is that so hard.

Easy and convenient getting fresh bagels and coffee before heading to the beach for the day.
Staff is always friendly and polite as well as very helpful. Good variety of bagels and cream cheeses. A regular treat for us.

Bagels are very good. I always go with the everything bagel Service is decent. As far as coffee I have had an espresso and it was decent. Breakfast sandwiches are good. Avalon Bagels are soft dense and chewy. Finding a good bagel is harder and harder to do

Just came out of the store extremely disappointed. A very untrained employee could not make our lattes. We saw that she was struggling with the machine and asked some of the more experienced workers there to help her out, but no one seem interested. I knew we were in trouble when we saw her pouring cold milk into the latte cups — after the drinks were made.
My husband and I live in Cape May and frequent this Avalon store quite a bit year round. We were extremely disappointed not in this new employee, but in all the other employees who just completely ignored our requests for them to go and help her. If you want to create a great brand when Starbucks offers a superior, consistent experience every time, this is not the way to do it.
One star instead of zero because the past has never been this bad. But if it happens one more time, we will never go back to the store or any other Avalon store again.

Stopped here because we had an hour to kill before getting on the ferry. It was 1pm on a Sunday. I was expecting a little more; to be called a coffee company and only have one blend is kinda disappointing. No options for any other fancy drinks either, just a smoothie. We were promptly alerted that the grill was closed. Good thing we didn’t come expecting lunch!
We did grab a Baggie of home made cinnamon raisin bagel chips and they ete certainly different and pretty yummy. A great way to re purpose day old bagels!
If they upped their coffee game, I can see this being a hot spot in this area.

Coffee good, muffin too sweet, bagel not toasted enough and service mediocre. Admittedly, it was Saturday morning and rather packed (plus it’s a tiny place) — but the guy at the coffee counter was flustered and seemed overwhelmed at having to make anything other than ice coffee. I asked for a cappuccino which he managed OK but appeared to be afraid of the whole experience.

The bagels are the best I’ve ever had.
They are in a rough location being across from a wawa but it’s worth it. In fact, wawa can take longer than Avalon.
The staff is wonderful now that they got rid of the one worker who was inadequate. It’s good to see a place that cares enough to trim the fat like that. Joe is so friendly and remembers you.
Also, cleanliness is important. They must spend a fortune of gloves because they are changed constantly. I have never seen anyone handle money without changing their gloves.

Nice coffee and breakfast sandwich is excellent. Bagels are huge and egg sandwich is made with two eggs mmmm
Wifi hotspot for xfinity. Bring your iPad or kindle enjoy cup of good coffee or chai
