Everything about this place is generic. Now I know why I’ve only been here once before. It left absolutely NO impression on me. It’s not like the place is bad. It just isn’t particularly good or great either. It is certainly a safe bet, if you want standard and predictable fare that isn’t too expensive or out-of-the box, artsy-fartsy or nouveau. I suppose I’d come back here… eventually.

I love the bartenders here. Genuinely nice guys. The place is looking empty and tired as of late. It’s no surprise though because the mall is mostly closed and awaiting its final demise via the wrecking ball/bulldozer. The restaurant is supposed to close permanently on January 11th.

I feel like PF Chang’s calls themselves«American Fusion» in order to make up for the fact that they actually can’t cook real Chinese food.. WHY does everything have to be «sweet and spicy». Just make it spicy OR sweet, damn it. However, not everything I had was bad, just more bland, and sweet than I really care for. The dynamite shrimp were actually pretty tasty, the portions were generous, the drinks were surprisingly strong and well concocted and the tiramisu was the dark horse winner of the night. I will never return here for the food, but I could be convinced to venture back for Happy Hour.

Meh. I have dined in many a PF Chang with great service and food but this review is on take out. I would not advise it. The chicken fried rice had chunks of what looked like mystery meat and the hot pepper sauce I requested to make the rice spicy was sour. As in sour from not being fresh– which I only noticed after I poured it on and took a big bite. If you’ve ever bitten into a bad tomato, you will know the flavor I speak of. The spring rolls were wrapped very loosely so that the filling was coming out and the ends of the rolls were burnt. 3 stars because the lettuce wraps were good. Plenty of fresh, large lettuce wraps to roll the chicken filling into– but no sauce was given. I called ahead and told what time I would be in later to pick up my order but it seemed as if the order was made at the time of the call and not later on causing the food to be cold. If you do order take out, check your bag first before you bring it home. And taste the sauces(if they remember to put them in the bag) before you ruin your meal by pouring the sauce on first. If I ever go back to this location to dine in, I will update my review on the restaurant dining experience rather than what I was given to take home.

Literally just ate here a couple of hours ago. I have been to a different branch of P. F and liked it and this one was good as well. I ordered the spring rolls which I though were really good. I also had the lunch special of sesame chicken that came with fried rice(for an extra $ 1) and hot & sour soup. MANY places, from carry-outs to restaurants can be crap with some hot & sour soup, but P.F. did right by me with there soup in terms of flavor. I am not even a big fan of the sweet-tasting chicken family(orange, genera tso, etc) but sesame had a lighter sweetness that I enjoyed. Other colleagues(4) seemed to enjoy their meal as well. One did get the wrong order brought out, so they apologized, left the wrong order on the table for us to have and brought out his correct order. I always like that from a restaurant to 100% own their wrong and add a little sweet spot in it for you by comping a meal or giving you what they brought out on the house. They don’t have to, but for the right group, it will be appreciated and can win some folks over. In conclusion, P.F. Chang’s, you did right by a brother today.

I have eaten at PF Chang’s on many occasions. We love the lettuce wraps and really like how they customize the sauce to your heat/spice level. We always ask for extra pieces of lettuce, because you always have extra chicken mixture. This delicious dish can work as an appetizer or main dish. Another favorite of my granddaughter and myself is the shrimp and lobster sauce. The large shrimps are tender and plentiful. The sauce is delicate and flavorful. I am not a fan of their soups. The wonton soup was peppery and watery. The egg drop soup was dull and flavorless. One of my children enjoys the Mongolian beef. There was a rich brown sauce with tender pieces of beef and crispy scallions. The trick is knowing what to order. The dishes they do well are delicious.

Service Saves the Day We were supposed to go to the Cheesecake Factory for my GF’s birthday. Come to find out, White Flint Mall is closing and the Cheesecake Factory is shut down. We ended up walking over to PF Chang’s instead. For appetizer, I got the lettuce wraps and they were good. Our waiter recommended them. Speaking of the waiter, he seemed very happy about doing his job and he took it very seriously. He recommended things on the menu and was very attentive. he even gave us 2 $ 10 off a purchase of $ 40 or more coupons for no particular reason. I would have given it two stars had it not been for his great job. The reason I left unimpressed with the FOOD is because I ordered the Kung Pao shrimp and it was SOOOO salty that it was almost unbearable. It was like they drenched it in soy sauce. I finished the meal because that’s just what I do, but if I go back, I’ll be sure to order something sweat and not tangy or sour. I left feeling like my pressure was up lol. I’d say go here, but don’t order anything salty. Kudos to them having brown rice as an option, which I’m noticing a lot of restaurants are doing now.

This place is literally whatever. From the drinks to the food to the service. I have only been here once. I visited sometime last week for my friend’s birthday. I was totally underwhelmed from the moment I stepped into the door. The hostesses at the front looked very tired and were difficult to talk to. When I finally got my name down and they agreed to seat our large party, we were asked to wait a few moments. I opted to wait at the bar and order a drink. The bartender looked exactly like Chief Keef and had the worst attitude ever. I wanted to cancel the drink, but I couldn’t turn the liquor down at that time, so I just didn’t tip him.(I only withhold the tip in extreme situations) Once we were seated, we asked the waiter to put add an extra table to our party. He said he couldn’t do it and refused. We asked for a manager(the manager he claimed told him he could not add a table) and the manager said«Certainly! Not a problem» …the waiter was just one lazy dude. He was slow bringing us everything from drinks, to food, to the check! Everything was really close together(our table to the booth behind us), and the restaurant had exceptionally poor lighting. I was just annoyed at the entire experience and wanted to leave the entire time I was there. The food was pretty decent, though so I’ll give them two stars instead of the one star the probably deserve.

We have all been here before, but do I want to come back? My hostess was so rude at the White Flint location. She has forever tarnished the little spec of hope that was still rooting for PFCHANGS. She decided to play«God» and jerk me around after I asked to be seated at the back of the restaurant, twice. She sat me «here». she sat me «there…» and it was only when I left to go to the restroom did I come back to here her bad talking me and my guest, like we had asked for a red carpet to be laid out upon our arrival… What is the problem? Why do you have an attitude? As if I asked you to do something that was not in your job description! After we did get seated, and after a conversation with management, I began a closer inspection *raises eyebrow* I noticed that all of the servers uniforms were wrinkly, dirty, and dingy. My table had a stinch of old water smell, like it was wiped down with old mop water. Everyone looked«tired and broke». My server did not look groomed and professional. Uni-brow, hair every where, stained apron… I’m afraid that was it for me. Never mind, lets dine somewhere else. I’m done with PFCHANGS. R.I.P. As Donna Summer says, «She works hard for the money, so hard for it hunnie, She works hard for the money so you better treat her right»
