Found my new home! Always knew solar was there but never stopped in. Well i could kick myself now because i love their salon.staff.and they do amazing on your nails. I was a walk in since this wasn’t a planned trip. even so i still only waited less than 5 minutes. Salon is very clean and roomy. They have so many colors and designs to choose from. The entire staff was so nice. and they all are friendly and talk and get to know you. No sitting in silence like most places. I would recommend this salon to anyone. I will definitely be going here as a permanent customer.

I LOVE Solar nails! First let me start off by saying that they are clean. Also, they have EVERY color of gel nail polish that could ever ask for! The regular pedicure was good, no frills but it was also only $ 25, so you can’t beat it! The women there are so sweet and they talk to you and genuinely seem to care about giving you the best treatment. They also do a great job and do not rush you out of the salon like you’re in the drive thru lane. They have water available if you get thirsty(not many nail salons do and if they do it usually costs extra $). I do feel like their prices are the best around, unless you want to go to Walmart and be treated like cattle. Give them a try it is worth it!!!

I love solar nails! My whole family has been going to solar nails for about 15 years now and we will not go any where else. The women who work there are so sweet and work so hard. They always do a great job and if you are unhappy with something they always fix it right away. Solar nails is so accommodating and always makes you feel welcome!

Just went here tonight and got a great basic mani/pedi for $ 35. The place was packed and even though I had an appointment there was a significant wait(60 mins). My nail specialist Vienna kindly apologized for the wait. She did a great job on my nails, very gentle and did a great job shaping my nails and caring for cuticles. I will be going back specifically for Vienna. I’m not sure why there aren’t more reviews for this place because there was a ton of people there and they all seemed like regulars. Everyone around me seemed happy about their nails. I didn’t give it 5 stars because it’s a basic nail salon, nothing over the top like at other places(massage and wine) but for a basic nail salon it satisfied all my needs.

Good customer service, they take walk-ins and appointments. They do great job with your nails, acrylic nails last for several weeks without falling or peeling. The price is not cheap but reasonable.

Very very disappointed. The day before my wedding my mother and I came to have our nails done. We didn’t do anything fancy just your standard Mani/Pedi with nail polish no designs. I was excited to take my mom as she had never had a mani/pedi done. The women were smug and not friendly. While doing my nails I hesitated for less than a minute on design and she told me she had another appointment so to hurry me up and basically encourage me to get the most basic nails so she could be done. After being seated at a drier no one came to check our nails and had to be reminded to place a topcoat because mine had moved onto the next client and forgot I existed. After getting home over an hour from the salon my moms nails were still not set and were ruined(even though we had a nail salon attending check her nails prior to leaving). When I woke woke up the next morning(wedding day) my nails were smudged and creased. Had I know what would have happened I would have saved a lot of money and did a better job at home. Worst of all my nails are all screwed up for my wedding day. I’ll give one star because both of our pedicures were in good shape. I think if I would have acted like a bigger snobby B word than them I would have gotten better service but I didn’t feel like getting upset before the wedding.

I must say, after reading the great reviews and seeing that this salon ranked 4.7÷5 stars, me, my mom and sister decided we’d give them a try! Let me say, according to our experience they do not deserve ANY stars! Firstly, the salon is located in an awkward area. We had to drive around the building for parking which is no fault of theirs, however, future customers should be aware! We enter the salon and we were looking around for someone to assist us. We browsed the colors and designs as we still patiently waited for acknowledgement. We waited a good 5 minutes and noticed that we only got weird stares. It didn’t take much more for us to get the point. So we left! I have never felt so uncomfortable in a nail salon before. Silly me, but I expect a greeting when entering a place of business! Very poor customer service! Good luck to anyone who chooses to visit here. I hope they treat you better than we were treated!

It’s so funny to read these negative reviews because well, they’re not accurate. I have been going to this nail salon since 2007. Every person in that salon has given me a mani/gel mani/pedi/eyebrow wax at one point and I must say, I have NEVER once been disappointed. They talk to you and make you feel comfortable. They use CLEAN tools(this is a must for me). They don’t stop at two coats of polish — if they see it needs more, they give you more. Their mani/pedis last way longer than any other salon(because they pay attention to detail). They offer you beverages. They give the best leg and arm massages during your mani/pedi. These are just a few things Solar Nail Salon has to offer. Not to mention, you can easily create a friendship with your nail tech. They are SO friendly! This is important to me as well — who wants to sit in a chair for an hour in silence?! In my opinion — Solar Nails is the best in the area. Go check them out for yourselves!

The good: my technician did an excellent job on my gel manicure. She shaped my nails well and it lasted awhile. The not so good: We made an appointment for 4:00 and were seen at 4:30. The technician was not friendly. Furthermore, when I told her the design I wanted for my nails, she said, «no offense, but that’s not going to look good.» I’m all for benefiting from the professional opinion of an expert, but when I want it I ask for it. And I did not ask for it. If you want your nails done well and don’t particularly care about the staff giving you warm and fuzzies, Solar is a fine place to go.

definitely love this place. came here while i was in town to visit my cousin so we decided to have a lil girl time, we decided to hop in real quick for a nice and relaxing spa experience. Right when we walked in, there was a man(i think he is the owner) came up to us to greeted us friendly. So i want a full set and cousin just want to get her pedicure. We got seated in the pedi chair right away. my cuticles are pretty sensitive so most of the time when i get my nail done, i never let them touch my cuticles, however, this time its going to be an exception since i want to gel polished i need to get my cuticles cleaned. it was pretty amazing how they did a WONDERFULJOB. None of my cuticles were bleeding nor hurt nor sore. If you come in, dont waste your time and ask for Moon or Amy right away, these girls are SOSOSO nice ans sweet. They made me laugh so hard because of their jokes. The fact that they worked my feet, cleaned carefully that make me feel very appreciated, they work with their heart. They want to make sure their customers walk out of the shop with satisfaction. Moon also does design which i didnt get but i saw her work done on other customers and i love it. i honestly had a very very bad day :(, broke up with my high school sweetheart after been together for 5 years. but thanks to Moon and Amy, they saved my day and now this shop will become my only to-go-to nail salon. there price is huge plus 25 $ full set. This is an actually pretty price to get this good of a service . So what else are you waiting for? come here and pamper your self without destroying your lil pocket

Eh. A friend took me there for my birthday for mani/pedis at 3pm on a Friday. She had made appointments for both of us. They were too busy to take us both at the same time, so they took her to start her pedi and she was almost finished with her pedi by the time I got a chair — and it was at the other side of the row, so we couldn’t chat or anything(most of the fun of getting mani/pedis together). The pedicure was fine. Nothing special. The lady didn’t really talk to me. The manicure was okay. I got the gel treatment, which is supposed to last for weeks. I was annoyed, though, because I had picked out a polish color on the wall, but when I told her that I wanted to gel treatment she gave me a can of plastic nails on sticks with different colors. Apparently there is only a small collection of colors that they can use with the gel treatment??? I wasn’t a fan of any of the colors, but I found one that was reasonably close to the one I had picked. My nails were extremely short, so there wasn’t much to shaping, but for some reason she took a little Dremel-type sander and sanded the tops of my nails — maybe to rough them up to take the gel? I don’t know, but I’ve never had anyone do that to my nails before. She slathered on the first layer — gel — and then stuck my hands in a big UV dryer for about 20 – 30 seconds and then slathered on two coats of the color(with about 20 – 30 seconds in the dryer between coats) and then slathered on the top coat of gel. She put my hands back in the dryer for maybe 2 minutes and then took another client at the station next to me. When the 2 minutes were up she leaned over from the other station and wiped off the gel, rubbed on some lotion and sent me to the counter, where I paid $ 55 for the whole shebang. Overall I felt ignored and generally pushed through what felt like a 1-person assembly line. I didn’t feel like there was a whole lot of care or personal attention given to me. They were too busy and the place was too noisy and chaotic for my comfort. Additionally, because the lady was obviously rushed, the layers of polish didn’t dry adequately and even now, a week and a half later, I can still make dents in the polish with my own fingernails. If I had the gel treatment at home I could have done a better job myself and had a margarita and watched Sex and the City reruns while I was doing it… I would recommend a smaller, quieter place where they actually try to earn your loyalty(see my other reviews for my favorite in Phoenixville).
