They sell fresh fruits and vegetables. They carry majority of the Indian spices. Prices are very decent. Very well maintained clean store. They have pretty much everything except the Meat. Talked to the owner few times, he wants to maintain a vegetarian store. Courteous staff, owner is a friendly funny guy !

If I could leave this South Asian grocery store zero stars I would. I entered this store at approximately 7:30PM this evening and asked who appeared to be the owner if they carried Mezban Halal Frozen Seek kabobs. The conversation that ensued spiraled out of the control. The not so friendly gentleman spoke to me in an elevated voice with spit flying out of his mouth. He acted unprofessionally in response to a simple question. «Can’t you read the sign? We are vegetarian!» His response was rude and not in line with how an owner should carry himself. I stated that I would be reporting this behavior to the Better Business Bureau to which he responded that he did not need my business. His attitude was racist and offensive as he cringed when he screamed«Why would we carry HALAL?! Read our sign, can you read!?!» He then proceeded to call me an idiot in front of his other customers. When I asked if he really just called me an Idiot he stated«No» and then shoo’d me out of his store all while other customers looked onwards. Overall horrible service. If you have even an ounce of self respect stay away from this establishment.

So, we stopped by this place one day thinking this was a permanent farmer’s market or something. But, once we walked in, we realized it was an Indian grocery store. We couldn’t be more thrilled cause we just recently moved to a nearby apt complex. I agree with EllenM, they have very inexpensive produce and a good variety as well. But, because of how new this place is and low foot traffic, some of the specialty produce isn’t all that fresh. Oh, they don’t always put out all their produce or the freshest stuff. If you want something that you don’t find or would like more fresh stuff, they will get them from their cooler/freezer. So, just ask. The owners/staff are definitely very friendly. For an indian grocery store, this by far have the cheapest prices for reputable brand items in the norristown area. And, they are slowly growing and bringing in more items and variety. So, even though they may not have a great variety of items yet, you can get all your basics. As mentioned earlier, definitely don’t forget to check out their jams and dried fruits section. You won’t regret it.

This is the BEST place around to buy local, fresh produce, very inexpensively. Great prices every week on in-season fruits and vegetables. They also carry unique items like Lychee and Guajillo chilis, as well as locally produced items such as jams and dried fruits. The owners and staff are very friendly and they gave me a 5% off card which I use every time. Bring your own bag, or they will give you a box to carry out your items. Stay out of the produce section at Acme and Giant — go here instead! Worth the extra stop!
