Let me start off by saying I got a good haircut. That being said, it was the slowest darn haircut ever. Like watching grass grow. Snip snip snip, one little hair at a time. I think by the time the barber had worked his way all around my head, one little snip at a time, my hair had grown so that it was time to start ’round again. If you have all day to kill, this is the place for you.

Went to Michael’s this week as i was in chicago for bsiness and needed to be cleaned up before my meeting. All i can say is «magnifico» A great cut and neck shave in a great old school«real» barbershop. I havent had a great italian haircut sonce my best friends dad used to give me great scissor cuts growing up and he cut hair until he was 93! Michael is a master with the scissors, mix that with the great atmosphere and you feel like you a part of the family. I will plan my trips around my schedule for haircuts to be in Chicago!

Stopped in today for a shave and a buzzcut. The barber I got was professional, but was very sloppy with my shave. First off there was no prepping of my face. He just slapped a luke warm towel on my face and never really allowed my face to warm up and get ready for a shave, first sign of a bad shave. Next he just went right into the lather. 3 words of advice here, PRESHAVEOIL. Would of made a world of difference and actually given me a close shave. The lather he put on my face was thin and not nearly enough to properly allow the bade to glide across the skin. My shave felt very rushed and all over the place, he never really focused on one section before going on to the next. Also after the initial shave, he never reapplied the lather and went over again. He just kept going over the areas, which had run out of lather and actually became uncomfortable. It felt like a dry shave at one point. Then he never cooled off my face with a cold towel and just slapped some pretty gross smelling after shave on me. Just a over all disappointing experience that was sloppy, lacked technique, and rushed. I never really got a close shave and had a lot of bits on my face that were missed. Overall, just a very bad shave. Sadly I will not be returning, and I really had high hopes for this place.

First time there today. I do not live in the area, but work nearby. Needing a haircut I looked for places near work, and this one came up. The Unilocal reviews were excellent, so I headed there. Got there before the lunch hour and had no wait. Michael cut my hair and did a really great job. What truly stands out is his patience and personal commitment to doing really good work. I’ll be going back regularly!

I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and have never gotten a bad haircut. An old school Italian barbershop that’s guaranteed to have a soccer game on and a friendly atmosphere. Mike and Joe consistently do a great job and for just $ 17. Can’t beat it. You’ll probably need to wait a few minutes since people are always coming back because they are by far the best barbers around. They also take their time to make sure the job is done right. I moved to the city and still come to the suburbs just to get my haircut by them. They are that good.

Looking for a barber? Your search is over. Got my first cut there, and will be a repeat customer. The place is comfortable. Both barbers are very friendly. The shop is clean. Most importantly, they both to a heck of a job on haircuts. They take their time and do it right. And very reasonably priced to boot.

Was in town on business. I was in need of a hair cut. Saw the great reviews, thought I would try it out. I was very impressed with the service provided and the cost. If you need a great haircut go see Joe! Thank you Joe! I will be back next time I am in town.

I took my husband here for the first time today! And it was great experience. Michael did a great job and my husband loved his new haircut. We will definitely go back and I think this might be the local barbershop that my husband goes to. We love that it’s locally owned and so close to home! My husband doesn’t look like caveman any more and I am extremely grateful for that :-P 5 stars all the way and price was great too!!!

I decided to try this place because I needed a fast last minute haircut. The reviews on Unilocal were all very high so I figured I couldn’t go wrong. I walked in and was greeted by a very friendly man, with limited English, who I’m guessing was Mike? He smiled and welcomed me to have a seat. The wait for my turn was very short. I sat down and he asked how I wanted my hair cut. I told him and he quickly got to work. He seemed distracted as he was frequently looking up at the television or looking out the window. Had my hair been perfect, the distracted barber would not have been a big deal. Unfortunately, when I got home I realized my hair was not perfect. My hair was cut unevenly on top. The hair on the left side of my head was about a half inch longer than the hair on the right side. When your hair is only about two inches long that is a huge difference. My sideburns were cut unevenly and one was cut on an angle. I was able to fix this at home but I shouldn’t have to fix my hair on the day it was cut by a «professional.» I’ve also found random spots with a long hair or two that he missed. The cost, $ 17, is a bit on the high side in my opinion for a men’s haircut. My normal place charges $ 15 for a cut and shampoo and they don’t screw up my hair. These guys both seemed very nice so I’m a bit disappointed I won’t be able to return.

I found Michael’s through Unilocal and after reading the reviews, decided to try Michael’s. I was greeted when I walked in by Michael and quickly realized that I would be waiting awhile. As I sat waiting, I watched Both Michael and Joe’s attention to detail regarding each person’s haircut. Even their clientele was extremely friendly when they found out that I was a new client. Most of their clientele had been coming to Michael’s Barber Salon for years. After waiting awhile for my turn, I was extremely pleased and will be returning again and again. Upon completion, both Joe and Michael asked my name and made me feel like a valued customer.

Havent seen mike in a while since my wife now cuts my hair. Hes one of those guys that you can talk to about basically anything. Hes a all around great guy. Always did a good job on my hair. Theres usually a wait to get your hair cut. Im seriously considering breaking our clippers at home just so i could go there lol. Forget about the corporate hair places or the $ 5 garbage, mike will take care of you.

Found this place thanks to Unilocal after moving into the area and needing a new barber. Been there a couple times, Michael is a great professional barber. Pleasant, old school atmosphere, reasonable prices, lots of attention to the cut.

Found this place about 8 months ago and have been coming here ever since for my haircut. I’ve tried other place but they either rush you and do crappy fades, uneven edges and ugly haircuts for cheap or they are expensive, boring, designer haircut places that don’t know how to cut men’s hair. That is not the case at Michael’s. Both Mike and Joe know how to cut hair, they are thorough, accommodating, and good company. I don’t think I’ll ever change barbers again, at least I hope not. PS. I’ve seen them cut kid’s hair too, do a great job. Many fathers come in with their sons for a father-son haircut.

I was in Rosemont on business travel and needed a haircut before my week of activities. I called salons around the hotel, and none had availability for a men’s haircut. Then I found Michael’s. Michael cut my hair personally and gave such attention to the detail of my cut I felt like a VIP. I loved the Italian bickering going on around me too. It added greatly to the ambience. Hands down the best haircut I’ve ever received! I wish I could find a place this good in Phoenix.
