Love going to see Carmelo when My son needs his hair cut. He does an awesome job. All the guys are super friendly and welcoming. They go great job!

I’m 55 yrs old, up until now I’ve had only 2 barbers my entire adult life. My former barber retired a few months back so I began the dreaded search for a new cutter.
Disappointment after disappointment finally landed me at Preiti’s door, and boy am I glad it did! My NEW barber!
These guys are Old School Cutters — and I do not mean they don’t know how to cut for the younger generation — I saw old and young alike go in and out of those 3 chairs while I was there. They seem to appeal to everyone.
Me — Dominic cut my hair and gave me a shave — hot towels and all. I haven’t had a straight razor shave in 20 years, it felt great!
One thing to note, they do not take visa, as I found out, much to my chagrin. Prices are reasonable — I just don’t carry cash. I was trusted to pay the next day.

The two brothers, Dominick and Mike have been cutting my hair since my first haircut there in 1968, when they were working on Calwagner, then since moving to current location on Rose Street (25^th), almost 50 years. Rob has been there for about 15 years, and Dominick’s son Carmelo came in last year. Carmelo was working downtown where he cut Patrick Kane’s mullet and has now moved to his father’s shop. I can tell you these guys are first class, personable and professional. One of the best values around. You get a top level, high end haircut for around $ 15… Love this place, love Dom and Mike. Still reminds me of the old days. Great, Great, Guys. Highly recommend. No appt needed, first come first serve.

Really easy guy to talk to. Most barbers I go to make it awkard when they cut hair with no conversating, this guy has it right! Thanks Carmelo! Definitely my new favorite go to barber. Easy on the prices as well!
Also it’s cash only, so don’t act brand new, anything over a 3 and a half and Carmelo will bust out his scissors, I can definitely appreciate that!

I started coming a year ago when Carmelo left his men’s club in the loop to take over the shop for his dad who is retiring after decades of owning and running the shop. Fantastic salon-​quality hair-​cuts for a great price. Great vibe. Great value. And very friendly barbers. Highly recommend.
No appointment needed. Just head in and take a seat and it is first-​come, first-​serve. The most you should ever have to wait is 20 minutes on very busy Saturday’s.

It is great to see Carmelo out in the suburbs makes it easier to bring my kids there too!

My mom has an old picture of my first haircut here, and he hasn’t disappointed me yet. Crazy thing is 29 years later he looks exactly the same! Great guys!

Great haircut. My regular barber is Carmelo. I would recommend this barbershop to anyone in the Chicagoland area. The shop has very friendly staff and they’ll always give you quality cut (new or old-​school) for a very reasonable price. The shop only takes walk-​ins, so you can save yourself the trouble of making an appointment.

I agree with the prior review of this barbershop. Attention to everything in this traditional barbershop. Haircut included shaving around the neck, ear hair and eyebrow trimming for $ 15. At least two brothers from the southern tip of Italy opened shop in 1983 were available til 5 pm Saturday to cut hair on walk-​in basis. Nice middle class neighborhood.
