Crimson & Whipped Cream is absolutely darling! We stopped in here for some post-lunch coffee and sweets, and Crimson & Whipped Cream hit the spot. Service was friendly, quick, and efficient, which are all the things you want and need when on a schedule. I ordered an iced latte and a baby red velvet whoopie pie, which were both perfect. The ambiance was also lovely: large windows letting in light, white but not sparse walls, a ceiling with old-timey finishing, crisp and clean tables. It was very welcoming and friendly. Plus? You can mosey on over to Postscript through the adjoined doorway if you have any card, stationery, or paper goods needs while waiting for your coffee. And the name is super cute, to boot!

This was the second place I visited looking for some plain old iced vanilla coffee. Not all the fancy macchiato, or lattes, or French press. I didn’t want it with soy or almond milk and I definitely don’t do the skinny. I didn’t want any chai latte or froth or foam. I don’t care about Splenda or Stevia or agava nectar. I wasn’t searching for Kopi Luwak or Molokai coffee. I just wanted a cup of iced vanilla decaf coffee with real cream and sugar, and I wanted a huge cup of it! I’m talking 32 ounces of creamy, sugary, ice cold vanilla flavored delicious coffee. Surprisingly, this proved harder than I thought so I settled for a miniature cup of decaf Americano that contained a tiny drop of cream, a few sprinkles of sugar and enough ice to make a polar bear happy sans any vanilla flavor at all. Four swallows and it was gone. Good thing I like to eat ice. I’m really surprised there are so many coffee shops in Norman that don’t have decaf coffee.

I can’t believe it’s taken me so 3 years living in Norman before finding this lovely little bakery! Their cupcakes are delicious but the one thing(or 3) I always get when I visit this place is their chocolate chip cookies! They melt in your mouth, and they are better than any other chocolate chip cookies I’ve ever had. I’m not much of a coffee drinker, but my friends are often here getting coffee when we make visits! This place is perfect when you’re studying and are in need of coffee and baked goods or if you’re wanting to catch up with a friend. I love its environment and ambiance. I would be here all the time if I had the calories to spare!

The second I took a sip of the cold brew coffee, my life was changed and I was hooked forever. Five years later and living in OKC, I’m still going back for more. The cold brew is one of a kind and the closest I’ve ever gotten to a cup that compares is in San Fransisco’s Blue Bottle New Orleans style cold brew. Be careful, once you have one cup your life will never be the same. Opt for the large and you’ll be wired all day. The cookies are also excellent. They’re perfectly sized and perfectly moist(every millennial’s favorite word). The chocolate chip is my personal favorite. Tastes similar and even slightly better than my mom’s special recipe(shhhhh don’t tell her).

So happy this little joint was open late on a Saturday so I could have some quiet dessert and coffee with old friends(and take a photo booth photo together!) Delicious small dessert and creamy coffee. Plus the name of the place made me smile. Super comfortable, good seating, chill vibes.

Ginger plus pecans in a scone? YESPLEASE! I could tell REAL ginger was used but it wasn’t overwhelming. This was my first time in, I ate the scone once I got back to the office so the scone gets 4 stars but the service knocked it down to 3. The gentleman was very dry and short, not a good combo for a coffee shop.

By far the best place to grab an espresso or iced tea drink in Norman and outside of the lower level learning center at Bizzell library this is probably the best place to read a book, work on your laptop, or cram for exams. There is soft music playing in the background and the mood is set so people in groups talk softly enough to allow for those studying to keep on cramming. If in Norman definitely stop by Crimson Whipped for quality iced tea, espresso, cookies, and other pastry items instead of Starbucks.

This is by far one of my favorites stops in Norman! They have delicious cupcakes and other dessert. Their coffee is very good! And the baristas are amazing at making foam designs. The service is always very friendly as well! Perfect environment for studying or for hanging out with friends.

Brought the kids here to get a cupcake while I enjoyed a latte. It’s quiet and welcoming here. The latte was great and the chocolate whoopie pie better than I expected. We’ll be back.

Sitting in Crimson right now writing this review! I remember when Crimson & Whipped Cream first open years back. I was still in high school but so intrigued I drove all the way down with friends to try it out. I’m now a senior at OU and bumming out about not being in the same town as this little gem. Crimson & whipped Cream is your good olé coffee shop. Great drinks and premier treats! Chef Ashley is a pastry queen! She makes amaze cupcakes, cookies, bars, whoopee pies and more. The best part is the size and the price. The cupcake is a normal size cupcake(not the size of your head like some places) and the price matches. The cookies are also rather small but that’s why I love them. I love pairing a treat with my coffee or tea but I’m not trying to blow my diet on a little mid afternoon pick me up. They have daily specials as well as consistent favorites. Follow them on instagram for updates on what they are baking that day(@crimsonbakery). Also don’t forget to use your Keep it Local card! Anyways this is my favorite spot in norman to study. They have outlets by every table and several small tables perfect for one. I hate when people take up a huge table for one person then you show up with three and there’s no where to sit. They also have free coffee refills and a great playlist. The vibe is great and not to hipster like most coffee shops alike. Crimson I will miss you when I graduate but I’ll make sure to visit when I’m around!

Dropped in on a Friday after 6 pm. Cute little coffee shop. Nice clean lines, striking a balance between eatery, study area and hangout. We came for the baked goodies and made a selection: 2 oatmeal pies, 1 nutella crumble bar, and a lemon bar. This ran up for around $ 11 and change. A bit pricey for some baked goods made popular by bake sales and such. Oatmeal cream pie sandwich cookies: these were hella tiny! Think silver dollar size… or for another reference less than 2 inches in diameter. I maybe jaded, but the last time I had one of these(and a homemade one, not a little debbie) it was 3 – 4 inches in diameter… like a hockey puck. These were 2 bucks each. The filling was odd. It was marshmallow cream… not the cream-cheese icing I was expecting. The cookies were okay, but nothing to write about… oh wait.hmmm. The nutella bar, at $ 3 was a bit better. A thick layer of nutella was sandwiched between two hearty oatmeal crumble type bars. This was far better. The oat bar was tasty, firm and crumbly… the perfect vehicle for nutella. The Lemon bar was a lemon bar. A $ 3 lemon bar. It was up to standard and what I expected. Overall, the ambiance was nice and the baked items standard, but not a great value and not really that unique.

I just love this place so much. I’ve treated myself to just about every kind of cupcake they make– all fantastic. It’s a great atmosphere to sit and sip coffee and unwind too, such as for a nice study break. Treat yo self! All the folks here are friendly too, super laid back. I don’t live in Norman anymore, but if someone could invent a teleporter to send me some of those cupcakes maybe?

I’m never in Norman(OSU grad, sorry!), but I was in town for work and needed a coffee for the road and I’d heard of Crimson & Whipped Cream so I thought I’d check it out. I wasn’t prepared for the horrendous parking on Campus Corner at 6 p.m. on a Friday night, but that’s my own fault. I got a caramel latte and a(homemade of course) oatmeal cream pie. The latte was good, nothing out of this world, but above average. Creamy and smooth. The oatmeal cream pie was amaaaazing. I had a really tough time deciding what I wanted, as everything in the goodie case looked delicious. I finally decided on the oatmeal cream pie, and it was a good choice. Homemade cookies and homemade cream/fluff/whatever it is in there, and it was just so good. Although I’m not in Norman often, I’d like to make it back to Crimson and Whipped Cream for the baked goodies alone. Seriously everything looked tempting for my big sweet tooth.

What what whhhhaaattttt. I think I came across this little bakery on Unilocal and decided to brave the cold for some cookies. Cute little cozy place, the staff was nice and the cookies are out of this world! The chocolate chip is crunchy on the outside but doughy on the inside. And the no bake cookies?! Lord have mercy. Let’s just say we went back for more about 30 mins later lol. They also offer vegan and gluten free options. The only thing is they should update their website prices. The cookies aren’t 3/$ 1, they are $.85 each. But so worth it!

I come here probably once a week, and I take home $ 20 worth of baked goods about every two weeks. I love it and my family loves it. I didn’t have great expectations from Norman, and considering I’ve tried almost every nice coffee shop in Dallas, this place really took me by surprise. Ambiance — awesome. It’s pretty hipster with the all uses for mason jars(for drinks, chandeliers, etc.) and it just looks like a nice place overall. Also, the wall to the kitchen is glass so you can watch them bake. Drinks — love everything. Best coffee drinks around town and in OKC. Food: my favorites are the turtle bar, Nutella bar, and my top fav., the Chocolate Chip Scone. holy crap. The scones are amazing!!! Also, the cupcakes are moist and perfect as well. Basically, I’m a huge fan and you need to check it out.

My husband and I went here to check this place out about a year ago. We were craving something sweet, and I had heard they made good cupcakes. I don’t remember if it was a weeknight or weekend night, but we stopped in after dinner time. We were really underwhelmed by their selection and ended up leaving. I’ve not been back, but I’ve been able to try some of their treats that people get to-go. Their Butterscotch Chip Cookie is the only thing I’ve really liked. It was buttery, crumbly, and a good consistency, but a bit on the salty side. I had their seasonal whoopie pie, which I think was pumpkin or gingerbread, with cream cheese frosting I think. The frosting was so loose that it was dripping out of the pie when I bit into it, and the outer part was dense and gummy. The flavors were also off. The frosting wasn’t very flavorful, but the outer part was so strong of spices, I honestly could not tell if I was eating something that should taste like pumpkin, gingerbread, it was just«spice». Maybe it was a spice whoopie pie. I didn’t care for the texture or flavor. I’ve also had a chocolate crinkle cookie(chocolate cookie ball dusted with powdered sugar, and then baked). It was super dry/over baked, crunched like a chips ahoy cookie, and had walnuts in it, which you couldn’t tell from looking at it. I’ve never had any with walnuts before, so I wasn’t expecting them. The chocolate flavor was good though. I still need to try a cupcake…

Can there be less than 1 star? I used to really enjoy this place but it has really tanked in the last month! The staff have changed or something. I felt unwelcome and like I was in the way when I ordered a Mocha. THEN when I asked for a receipt you would have thought I had slapped the girl! Quality of Pastry has declined and atmosphere unfriendly. Don’t go there if you are expecting a pleasant experience.

When we stumbled upon Crimson & Whipped Cream on a lazy afternoon, we eyed the pastry case. Then we eyed it some more. Then we discussed the merits of the different options(whoopie pie? oatmeal cookie? cupcake?) while those behind the bar patiently waited for us to decide. The kids made their decision(group effort!) and I turned to see… CARDS! I love cards, guys, even when they’re $ 4.50 each. So I eyed the cards(happy birthday! thank you! missing you! thinking of you! get well soon!) while my kids sat patiently with their treats(begging me with their eyes to pleasecomeherenowsowecantastethesetreatswe’redying!) and found a very timely card to send to my mother, something along the lines of «thank you for loving me even though I’m basically insane». We split a miniature chocolate whoopie pie(I know, poor kids), and got all worked up about which board game to play. Yes, BOARDGAMES. Stacked neatly, in reach, proclaiming«Hang out! Play games! While you eat whipped cream!» Wouldn’t you know, I needed to spend some quality time with my kids this day and Crimson & Whipped Cream provided. This seems like a minor thing, but places that offer community space without televisions have my heart. When we are in places with televisions, often, we forget to look at one another(okay, they forget, and some part of me tries to swallow it, but ultimately I ask my children to look at me as I try to start a conversation and spend the rest of our time dueling with the television for their attention). In places without televisions, lo and behold, we are naturally drawn to one another. MIRACULOUS. The space is calm. I must say, the music is lovely, but the genius here is that it’s not so loud you can’t not hear it, which tends to be the norm in lots of bakeries and cafes lately. Don’t worry, you can leave your ear plugs at home and go successfully work/talk/study at Crimson. Crimson & Whipped Cream is the kind of place I dream of opening myself. Easy, simple, charming, open, and delicious. We are big fans! Hope to head back to Norman to beat my son at Mastermind. Wish me luck!
