Michelangelo’s Coffee & Wine Bar

Customer service is amazing here. Their coffee is the best in Norman. I tried Grey owl coffee today, and was super disappointed that I didn’t spend my money at Michelangelo’s instead. You have won a loyal customer. Seriously, Michelangelo’s coffee is amazing!

The best coffee shop in Norman. I like to go and study here for it’s quiet atmosphere, free wifi, and mix of tables and comfy seating. They have excellent coffee and drinks. Occasionally, they host live music in the evenings which is a lot of fun and a great time to enjoy their delicious wine and sangria.

Nice coffeehouse vibe. We go for the live music from local talent but love the coffees and wines too. 2x we’ve had wines rec by the friendly staff and loved both selections. Also really enjoyed our coffee and hot chocolate concoctions. Panini was good; cheese plate tasty (but a tad pricey at 14 $ ish). Service was a bit slow but we were in no hurry. Street parking free in evenings, very safe revitalized downtown area. Wished we lived closer.

One of my friends (an OU grad) recommended Michelangelo’s to me while I was in Norman for work. As a resident of Lawrence, KS, I am very picky with my local coffee shops. Needless to say, this one exceeded my expectations. It is such a relaxing, cozy atmosphere with plenty of space to get work done and hang out. The staff is very friendly and personable and does a great job making you feel welcome. Try to Almond brew if you can!

Michelangelo’s is an overall quality place. The ambiance is very laid back and cozy, and it’s a great place to get some studying in before school when you’re in need of coffee, breakfast sandwiches, or chocolates! I love stopping by here and getting a croissant or bagel breakfast sandwich before class when I can! The breakfast sandwiches here are my favorite, and I’d get them much more often if I could afford to. I’m not a coffee drinker, so I get their smoothies sometimes, and they are pretty good, too. There have been a couple of times when the ice wouldn’t be blended as well, and they always offer to blend it for me again. The owner here is so nice and is always so welcoming to me, which is a great way to start my morning off and something I appreciate.

Stumbled across this place when I was out of coffee at home. I work in Norman and don’t really get out of the office much. So glad that I did today!
I got a great coffee and a super yummy croissant sandwich. The vibe is mellow and the staff was awesome!
I see myself coming here more often. It’s quiet enough to get work done and they have chocolates too!

First time. Walked in for a different work space, needed to finish up some work. Enjoyed an amazing Jasmine Green Tea. Great atmosphere. Plenty of seats. Great customer service. You might consider bringing your own honey

This is one of my favorite places to relax in Norman. It’s laid back and there is a great selection of drinks and food. But the chocolate is DELICIOUS. They always have great flavors and combinations that always hit the spot.
It’s a good place to chat with friends, read a book, or work on assignments/​work projects. I’m definitely a regular!

My friends enjoy this place. They are regulars. I think they’d rather not share their secret with all of town and keep this gem to themselves. I guess sharing with me was ok — I’m from out of town and can’t ruin their party.
First, let me say that the service was GREAT! The gentleman behind the counter was friendly, informative, and fun. He had great recommendations, and had a really friendly personality.
I ordered a Milky Way Latte. I loved it. The flavors were distinct, and it was sweet but not too sweet. I also went for a couple of truffles. Raspberry and Khalua. I enjoyed both, but the raspberry in particular was delicious. If you’re ever in need of a sugar fix… you know where to go.
The atmosphere is quiet and laid back. There were a few students doing work. A couple of older patrons enjoying their afternoon. A selection of comfortable seating… Big and small tables, couches. Aside from the red walls, I enjoyed the ambiance…
Don’t bring in any outside food or drink. They can sniff it out like bloodhounds. I joked about it to myself on the way in (there are signs on the windows/​doors), and thought «who would do that» but someone did. A couple of girls walked in with their lunch bag and one started eating… I think that’s a bit rude to be honest. If you’re going into a place, buy something. Don’t sit around and eat your own lunch. Hang out at work, or on campus, or eat in your car for that matter. I sort of think that’s the way it works. I’m surprised they have to even put a sign on the door…
Anyways. I love this place. I would be a regular if I didn’t live 2000 miles away. But you’d better believe I’ll be back the next time I’m back in OK.

Great place! I personally don’t drink coffee but my roommate does and whenever we visit Michelangelo’s she loves whatever coffee she orders. The baristas are super friendly and willing to personalize drink orders and don’t get impatient if you aren’t for sure what you want. The chocolate desserts and pastries are soooo good too. The only problem is that I just want to eat them all haha

I’m not much of a coffee person, so I can’t comment on the quality of theirs, but they have a great variety of drink options. I generally get one of the flavors of iced tea, and my boyfriend gets the peanut butter and jelly italian soda. They also have delicious chocolates and lots of snacks and meals. The atmosphere is very nice and relaxing, great for hanging out or working. The servers are all very friendly.

Excellent choices of wine, despite only having 5 reds to choose from. Guy at counter seemed knowledgable about the wines.

My favorite coffee shop in Norman! I love the live music they have in the evenings. I really like the highland grog coffee they have on Saturdays. The food is good, I’ve had great muffins and cinnamon rolls for breakfast. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming.

this is a great place to go for some studying or reading. or to grab some coffee with a friend.
I used to come here quite frequently as an OU student and came back the other weekend to visit. I definitely enjoyed myself.
their chocolate is SO GOOD. I have tried «speciality» chocolate before that ends up tasting a bit like a bad Hershey’s bar. this is not the case with Michelangelo’s chocolate.
the workers were extremely helpful and knowledgeable as I asked them a few questions about the coffee, the chocolate, and the Norman music festival that was going on that weekend.
they also have pizza and wine but I’ve just gone here for chocolate + coffee. an unbeatable combination.

I really love Michelangelo’s. My friend is a regular there and she’s coaxed me into going a few times. I don’t know why I don’t head over there more often. It’s such a cozy little place and they’ve got a wide assortment of drinks on the menu. Great place to listen to a little live local music.

Good, but takes a bit of time at breakfast. There was only one poor guy to do everything, and he had a lot of guests. But breakfast sandwiches were great and the coffee was outstanding.

As far as outside of Starbucks goes, you seem to either choose Gray Owl or Michelangelo’s (I suppose Second Wind or Crimson&Crème if you’re over on campus) and stick to it. Personally I prefer Michelangelo’s as it has a Very Different atmosphere to Gray Owl, I get it the retro couch and bikes are cool for the hipster-​esque crowd that frequents there but they’re not nearly as suited to my tastes as all of the cozy red walls and comfy couches, plus I’m all about their support for local art and music
The staff, I love the staff! I’ve never actually met a barista there that wasn’t perfectly agreeable (and trust me I go there with alarming frequency, god only knows the amount of my money that’s been spent on coffee).
Admittedly I’m a bit boring and have my standard cold and hot drink. Cold being A Dude over ice, even without an excess of kahlua the flavor is still there which I adore. Hot being a simple irish cream cappuccino, I can’t tell you why or how but get a triple in a mug and it’s absolutely heavenly

I like Michelangelo’s as a concept (coffee and wine) and while it is okay but it is a little pretentious. Maybe if I want pseudo cheap wine tasting with maybe a panini’s or appetizer but for coffee and ambiance I would much rather go to Gray Owl.

This is a premier spot to crack open a book and settle in for the day on Norman’s Main Street.
The staff is exceptionally kind and helpful when making a decision. The ambiance is cozy and artfully cluttered (in a good way– this is what my friends refer to me as sometimes) way. There is a good mix of comfy couches and table seating for wherever your bum wants to sit. There is space in the back that is perfect for an intimate and acoustic set or a good poetry reading. I always enjoy when I visit and by chance, one of these events is happening.
The drink menu is large and will quench your thirst whether it is coffee you crave, soda, or a glass of wine. What makes my heart melt? The Melt-​a-​Way mocha. Fresh, fine chocolates are showcased here (which I highly recommend) and this drink incorporates a chocolate be put in it and melt-​away creating a bold and unique mocha flavor.
I think I’m going to propose painting the ceiling here?
