Better than average for an airport restaurant. Service was great. Not very crowded. The items are not bad, not outstanding.

WHYISSERVICEINANAIRPORTUSUALLYBADWHILEPAYINGINFLATEDPRICES?! Seriously, why? Most if the crap is fried so is it too much to expect fries to be hot and fresh? Do t think so… Here’s a tip — take a trip to Asia, and you’ll be SHOCKED at the food available at the airport. It makes USA airport food look like… well…the crap it is!

The service was just OK, which is a step up from the quality of food. There are very few places at which to eat at the airport. This restaurant would not be missed if it were to close or be replaced by vending machines.

The crab soup with an «extra portion» of crab was great! It’s not on the menu so we took the waitress’s recommendation and were not disappointed!

I sat with my parents before flying back out to California. I got the shrimp and crab salad and my dad got the crab chowder/soup. I wasn’t impressed. There’s a Burger King, Pizza Hut, and Starbucks that you will probably want to go to instead. There really wasn’t much crab in either of our dishes. The salad had tons of lettuce and 1.5 slices of tomato. What? Really? With the $ 28 that I spent on this dinner, I could have had 5 personal pan pizzas. It’s bad because I actually thought of this.

The motif is somewhat a collision of modern chic and waterfront warehouse but it works. Unfortunately that’s about the best this rating gets. Service: Our server was polite but it was clear the slow service wasn’t just related to it being understaffed. She seemed to be a bit of a novice(i.e. not attentive to the clock in regards to customers and their flight times) for an airport restaurant worker. We had a bit of a wait in taking our order, understandable. A longer wait for our food and an uncomfortable prolonged wait for our check making us a little concerned we could make it to the terminal on time. Food: The server admitted that all the main courses were frozen and reheated including the burger patties. Although I appreciated the honesty it wasn’t to hard to tell. My daughter and I decided on splitting the Bacon Cheese Burger and the Grilled Chicken Sandwich. Both were ok choices but on a scale of 1 to 10 they were easily a 4.5, maybe pushing an even 5. Average, average, average. Both dishes were served up with fresh sliced Tomatoes, Onions and lettuce and we both choose the Waffle Fries and Coleslaw as our sides, which were actually pretty good. However, the one thing that we were missing was silverware. This made eating the coleslaw somewhat challenging especially considering that by the time we got a knife and fork… it was time for the check. Cleanliness: The place wasn’t too bad but everything(tables, chairs and floor) could’ve used a wipe down. Overall: Well considering the quality of the food, service and price I’d have to give this place a 2.5 to 3 but taking into consideration the cleanliness I’m going to round down. Today 2 Stars tomorrow?

Definitely better than a burger/fast food but if you are expecting high dining seafood, you will be disappointed — what did you expect? It is an airport! The crab shrimp sandwich was above average, not drowning in mayo as I expected.

Went to this restaurant after searching for something to eat at the airport. The service was excellent, and the crabcakes were outstanding. The calamari and a steak we ordered were also good. The hushpuppies seemed like they were frozen /mass produced. The décor is not that intimate or invitiing — kind of informal given the relatively high prices. However, we would go back for those crabcakes.

yum fried shrimp and hush puppies. Good solid fast food seafood at the airport. Theresa was a fox and a great waitress! Epic service, give this girl a raise.

Present in the Norfolk airport for a deposition, the witness wanted to meet early over lunch, and I thought for sure there would be a delicious spot with a salad or a sandwich or something. I was wrong by choosing Phillips Seafood! My meal consisted of 3 items, so I will briefly review each. Garden salad, substituted in place of two sides. Bad idea on my part. Tomatoes were not fresh. Too many red onions. Lettuce. One cucumber. Boring. The dressing(a tangy tomato) had the consistency of slime. And it tasted terrible. Hushpuppy Sticks. I was expecting round hushpuppies like I have consumed 100 times in my life, not mass-produced, frozen and fried sticks of dryness. Fish. The mahi was OK, not great, not bad, just OK. I would not eat here again.

The soup was ok. The rest was pretty lousy and I’m pretty positive that Gordon Ramsay himself would go ape shit.

Very convenient but not the in my top ten list for seafood. The lady behind the bar was nice and the service was quick. The seafood just isn’t anything that makes you want to go back for more. I tried the seafood sampler and I can probably get the same quality in a supermarket for much less. That’s the beauty of having a business at an airport.

Looks like the best restaurant at Norfolk Airport but a pretty big disappointment. Bloody Mary’s — Bleh, pass. Baby Crabcakes– VERYGOOD The shrimp on the sampler platter were good too but the springrolls were gross. Shrimp and Crabmeat Salad– its so plain and boring. I added a lump of lump crab, that saved it — sort of… Came here 2x, prob won’t come again. Oh and my tab was $ 50 for lunch.

Food was OK for an airport restaurant, however the portions were SMALL for the price, and the service was really slow(even though there were only 4 or 5 tables with patrons). And I was almost late for my flight because I couldn’t get one of the servers to take my money. Next time, I’ll go somewhere else.

This place is not very good. As a matter of fact, you may be better off heading across the way to A&W. If you eat here, stick to the basic stuff like the soups and salads. Obviously, the cocktails are a rip and seem to be devoid of alcohol so I might even suggest you stick with bottled beer.

After arriving at the airport at 5:10pm for my 5:35 flight, I discovered after rushing through security that I had an hour delay on my flight. I called up T and he came back and we had a final meal together. Well, I hate he watched. Regardless, I got the Seafood Sampler for an appetizer. Here is my breakdown. — mini crabcakes: BOMB. my favorite on the plate. — springrolls: WHAT?! is there seafood in there? all i tasted was cabbage. — fried shrump: you can’t mess this up. — bangers(?): there were this fried, cheesy things that tasted like heart attack. I didn’t mind them BUT they were just a bit overwhelming. Grand Total? 3 stars. Their beer selection was mediocre but Varsity Grill had no where to sit. OH well — I spent a bonus hour there with T, so I was thrilled regardless.

In the airport in Norfolk(ORF) just outside the security area. I was running late, I had a flight back home from there — so I took a chance at the height of the dinner hour. The emptiness of the restaurant should have been my first clue — but I missed it. I’ll be more observant next time. Well, the resulting service was slow — and the(single) server was definitely over tasked — while the manager just walked around looking at things. The beer was cold and at least delivered promptly. The food was poorly prepared, not very appitizing to look at, and while I paid for their«premium» lump crab cake — I think I found all of two(small) lumps of crab meat in it. Paid $ 22 for dinner… I think the crab cake should have been a bit larger in diameter than a McDonald’s regular hamburger patty. Bottom line: Consider your alternatives… I will next time.
