Just because this place is inside Assi Plaza do not let that fool you the food is good. I tried the pork katsu along with rice and miso soup, the pork is a cutlet fried with a panko like crust which is really good –the highlight that brings out the flavor is the sauce you put on top making it outstanding ! If you are into soups try the udon soup which is served as a combo with tempura… And you can go shopping before or after you eat explore your horizons and try new things for a new experience

I like coming here a lot, it is one of my two favorite food establishments inside Assi Plaza. I have tried almost everything on the menu and the only thing I would stay away from is the eel bowl(Unagi-Don)

I ate Sushi Don which is vegetables and raw fish(sashimi)over the rice. Korean word is. It’s #1 on the menu. Oh boy it’s a very delicious and healthy food. I love to go back.

Gyu Don(beef with mushrooms) only had a few pieces of mushrooms and the rest are fillers, i.e. cucumber, onions. Beef was was too sweet like in a Chinese restaurant. For a Korean establishment, I was hoping the taste would be balanced. Unlike the other vendors where food is delivered to your table, Musashi gives you a number for pick-up. Food service is slow.

I ate here the other night prior to getting some groceries in the attached grocery store. It was very good. I had the curried tonkatsu, which came with some cabbage salad, a soup, and some yellow radishes. It was a huge amount of food for about $ 10. I took half of it home for lunch the next day. The woman who worked there was friendly. It’s in a little grocery store food court, so there isn’t a lot to say about the service.

Come on, we didn’t come here to get a lecture about what’s Japanese food… This place is in a food court within a Korean Supermarket. Of course it will be Koreanized. For what its worth, I’ve tried the HweDupBab and Udon Combo and both were satisfying.

Love love love this place. Udon combo(noodle soup with shrimp and veggie tempura on the side) is the way to go. Ask them to make it spicy. I went there at least once a week in the winter and still can’t stop going for hot soup even in 80 degree weather. Addicting.

I love Japanese food. I think it might be one of my first choices for a death row meal. Not that I’m going to death row or anything of the sort anytime soon. On my first visit to the ASSI International Plaza in Niles my mom and I ate here(located in the food court). All of the items(twelve in total) were reasonably priced, ranging from $ 6.99 to about $ 12.99 which caught my mom’s interest as she was paying for dinner. Mom got the traditional udon combo served with veggie and shrimp tempura. I picked the guydon, which is a bowl of teriyaki flavored beef mixed with veggies served on top of white rice. The kid taking our order recommended it and I was very happy with my decision. The food was very tasty and the service was exceptional. We ordered the food and they brought it to our table along with some extra bowls for the kids. I mean hostley, who does that in a food court? My only disappointed was that they only had Coke products and I had to go the restaurant next door for my Pepsi fix. Now please don’t let this interfere with your visiting this establishment. After all, I am a soda snob.
