Big Picture Framing

I’ve had two experiences with BPF/​Newton, since my original review.
The first was to use the remainder of the Groupons that I had purchased and given to my mother, as a gift. The woman that helped my mom and I was very nice, helpful and when I brought up my question about the frame samples not always looking like the frames, she knew who I was right away (based on my Unilocal review.)
As I said, she was very patient and helpful with my mother and I and once I returned to pick up the finished pieces, my mom was happy. In general, our experience this time around was positive.
My last visit was to take BPF up on their guarantee to replace/​redo the framing if you’re not satisfied. As I mentioned, the frame for the piece that I had framed initially looked nothing like the sample frame and I was unhappy, as I feel as though the samples can be quite misleading. I brought it back and chose a different frame this time around. I also brought a smaller piece with me that I wanted mounted between two pieces of glass and chose a frame I thought would compliment the color of the etching.
The re-​framed piece came out much better and I’m happier with it now. I appreciated the willingness to make good on the guarantee without hassle.
The glass mounted piece came out as I expected, although I do have to keep saying that the samples are not always a good representation of the actual frame. Although I’m not dissatisfied with how it turned out, the sample I saw had much more of a silver-​tone (why I chose) to it and the frame I ended up with definitely has more of a gold-​ish tone. It’s a bit of a gamble and it’s too bad that they can’t find a way to streamline it a bit.
Overall, the willingness to follow-​through on customer satisfaction and the experience that was had when I visited with my mom was appreciated and far exceeded my first visit.

I was so pleased with the framing of two pieces recently. The sales associate patiently went through many different matte color combos with me and priced them out only to find out from me that I really couldn’t afford the extras since I am currently unemployed. When we downsized to frames only, no matting, she didn’t miss a beat and helped me pick the best frames I could muster given my circumstances. She was patient, kind and new to the job. I was happy to see her again when I returned for pickup.

They do an excellent job of framing and provide great individualized service. They also allow free re-​matting if you aren’t happy with the result. My only complaint is their prices. They are a bit expensive.

Helpful, reasonably priced, and I was very pleased with the outcome of the work. Would definitely go back.

I had my diploma framed here. The young woman who helped me showed me a variety of options that would go with my diploma. It was ready in about two weeks, which is reasonable. They did an excellent job, and my diploma looks wonderful in the double matting and frame. Also, if you aren’t satisfied with the job, you can change the matting and frame at no charge (unless it’s an upgrade, then you pay the difference). Good to know.
