Outstanding food and service. Bartenders and servers were attentive and entertaining as well ! We came for the world famous tots but stayed for the amazing local beer selection.

I love the clam chowder and the oysters are pretty great as well. The service however is never a constant. I’ve had great service and at other times really bad service. The service has been inconsistent during both the Winter and the Summer, so not sure what the problem is.

Wow! This restaurant was GREAT! It was very cozy and quaint. The food was outstanding!!! The White Sangria is a must try as far as drinks go. And the burger with peanut butter is a must try for entrée items. It sounded strange but was out of this world! Can’t wait to go back here next time we are in Newport!

Normally, this is my favorite place on the warf for food. Being from the south I love the fried pickles, tatter tot options, and Brussel sprouts. Today I brought a friend from out of town that owns a food truck in CT to try my beloved sprouts and fried pickles. The sprouts were under cooked and little to no flavor, the fried pickle batter had also changed since my last visit. I recommend this place 100% to all that ask. I hope this finds the correct people and gets changed. I will always give it a second chance!

I was disappointed with my most recent experience. I was in town for a conference and brought four other co-workers with me. The place was very crowded for a Tuesday evening and we got lucky and didn’t have to wait for a table. It was open mic night so the restaurant was very loud. Our table began with two orders of tater tots and two orders of the chicken wings for appetizers. I remember last time the tater tots were a big hit but this time we were all disappointed. The portion size seemed smaller and they might have been cooked to long. We were also disappointed in the chicken wings. Once again, it seemed the portion was smaller than last year and they were overcooked. They were crunchy like they stayed in the fryer to long. Our table ordered the Turkey Burger, the wedge salad, the tuna burger, and I had the Fish and Chips. I ordered the Fish and Chips because I remembered last time how awesome they were. This time they were not close to acceptable. The fish consisted of two overcooked and almost burnt pieces and the potatoes that accompanied them were overcooked but seasoned perfectly. This isn’t the most healthy dish to begin with but it was beyond greasy and nothing like last time. The potatoes were a small portion as were all of the sides that came with the meals. My table enjoyed their turkey burgers and tuna burgers. Service was very good and friendly. It took a while to get our main course but they were busy. Bathrooms were clean. Prices were very reasonable for the area.

This place is packed like any others here. Beer flight was great I don’t know the names. Got some clams and wedge salad both were very good. Beer flight was so good I went back the next day to have another, but it was different beers and I didn’t like it as much. AnyWho I found out the boat tours were canceled so we decide to come back here for lunch. The blacken salmon salad was good and my grilled calamari was also really good. The clam chowder was one of the best I had. Three times we were here the service for the first two times were whatever, the third time when we were here for lunch was very good.

Outstanding meal. Both my wife and I were really impressed by the service, food, and atmosphere. The Tater Tots were out of this world. They should jar that sauce and sell it alone! BBQ pork and Mac n cheese was very good. Could use some more cheese and BBQ sauce but still, it was tasty. Wife had sliders which were well cooked(pink in middle) with the Rosemary ketchup. Again excellent. Nice, varied beer selection. Would definitely come back.

Salmon salad was good but the shrimp appetizer tasted like frozen shrimp. Loved the atmosphere, however.

I went here for lunch while spending the day in Newport. The chowder was delicious as was the pig pen tater tots. We sat at the bar and had a great experience with our bartender, Sean. He made excellent recommendations for both brews and food. The décor inside is really cool and the atmosphere at the bar made me feel like I was at a neighborhood pub, not hundred miles from home. Take the time and stop in here if you’re in Newport. You won’t regret it!

Great option when in Newport, particularly on those calm summer days. The outdoor seating has beautiful views of Newport harbor!

I made a reservation for dinner through«Open Table» at 6:00 Friday night for 2. We arrived ten minutes early and were told someone else took our table and said we could wait 15 – 30 minutes or sit in the bar downstairs. We ordered two diet cokes and two hamburgers from the bar tender. It was 30 minutes before our burgers arrived.(Applebee’s are better) The manager was kind enough to apologize and offered to move us a table upstairs but we opted to stay at the bar where it was a little quieter. There are MANY great pubs and lots of choices in Newport … This just isn’t one of them.

Me and hubby had a great meal here. Place was packed even at 230 in afternoon which is a good sign. Had the shrimp po boy wrap and some veggies on the side which were delicious. Hubby had a burger and some of their home fries on the side which were to die for. Never have I tasted potatoes cooked so soft yet crunchy and by no means overcooked. Would love to know the secret. I also indulged in an oyster shooter which my husband cringed at. Was well worth making him cringe. Absolutely will make this a place to visit when we are in Newport.

Came here for dinner on a Friday night around 9pm without a reservation after heading to Newport from Boston. This gem was close to the hotel we were staying in and right along the water so it was very convenient. It was packed inside, but we were able to snag 2 seats at a high table. There was also live music, which was fun to listen to. First off, there was an AWESOME beer selection. I tried an IPA called Shed that I had not seen on menus before. For food, we split the tater tots with cheese, gravy, and bacon to start. I ordered an ahi tuna burger served over lemon-dressed greens and spicy mustard slaw on the side. So delicious and fresh! P got a pulled pork sandwich and potato wedges with guinness cheese sauce on the side. He was amazed at how big the sandwich was and how juicy the meat stayed. While eating my entrée, I ordered another beer, which took ~25 minutes to come. The lovely waitress took this beer off my bill because of the wait. She provided such amazing service during the entire dinner. The general manager also checked on us a couple times, which was very appreciated. Would definitely come back here if in Newport! The clam chowder from other tables smelled fabulous so may need to give that a try.

Tucked in the middle of waterfront Newport(I really have no idea of its geography, as a couple of friends and I were just visiting for the day), we looked this restaurant up as we were told we must get seafood while visiting. We wandered over as it was just opening around noon for Sunday brunch, and were instantly seated in the empty restaurant. The pros: 1) Very inexpensive beer flight, for only $ 11! Basically three ¾-sized beers, for the price of one. Bonus points for showcasing Rhode Island beers. 2) Delicious seafood chowder. The cons: 1) Ordered a tater tot dish, as the menu had a variety of different kinds of tater tots so I thought this was the signature dish… regrets. 9 little tater tots, wrapped in bacon and smothered in sauce. At first, I was horrified that I had paid $ 9 for a 9 little tater tots. Then, I realized I couldn’t finish them because… that would involve eating 9 pieces of bacon… dipped in more fat… 2) Other dishes ordered by the table were pretty mediocre as well. Ex: Friend ordered a vegetarian burger, which they kindly substituted for a regular beef patty. Came out with a lukewarm slab – literal slab – of tofu as the burger.

The outdoor area was cold. Service was a bit slow. Bread had to be asked for asked aND wasn’t given. The tater tops with gravy and cheese were excellent. Chicken skillet dish was good however sweet potatoes has rosemary which wasn’t my favorite. Wish they would’ve mentioned so we could’ve switched it out. Good beer selection. Nice non alcoholic ginger beer too.

Great place in Newport. Wish we would have stopped in here first. There was a good selection of beer on tap and in the bottle from both local spots and far away lands. It’s more of a pub atmosphere which was perfect by me. We didn’t eat so I can’t comment to the food but the bar area was very cozy and they had outside seating with a bar as well. It was closed on account of the weather but looked like a great place to sit and people watch in the picturesque town of Newport. Will be back for sure next time I’m in Newport.

I had such an awful, awful experience at this restaurant. My friends and I were really excited because it was finally warming up outside and we wanted to go to an outdoor bar. There was a huge group of us but we went there around 5PM and it was relatively empty. Half of us went to the bar the other half of us got a table to order food. The half that went to the bar had an entirely different experience than the half that went to sit down at a table apparently. I was told that the bartender is awesome. Anyways, the group of us were not treated anywhere near as well as the group who went to the bar. The waitress that served us was extremely rude to us. She rolled her eyes at our comments and questions and not once checked on us. On top of that, our group is quite diverse. She was extremely rude to those of us that were of a darker complexion. She told one of my friends he couldn’t sit with us. and we had no idea why because we had an extra seat available at our table. The food and drinks were not worth the amount I paid for it. We ordered the pitcher sangrias and I also ordered mixed drinks for myself. They were extremely watered down. I ordered the following: Fried Pickles — They were okay however were very salty and sitting in a pool of grease. Chicken and waffles — I was told by the waitress that this was the restaurant’s signature dish. The waffle itself was okay. The chicken was fried and burnt to a crisp but hidden under gravy. It was not enjoyable to eat and it was an $ 18 plate I believe. Overall, the food along with the service does not make me want to go back. There are better restaurants in Newport.
