Another amazing experience at Natural Creations! This time my stylist was Remy and she was nothing short of amazing. Karen the owner truly cares about her business and it is evident that all the crew take pride in what they do. I really have great respect for this business and highly recommend it anyone, especially if you live in the area. You will love the staff and the incredible way you are treated (as well as your hair!)

Corinne is the absolute best. She’s charming, she’s attentive, she listens and she works magic. I get my hair cut and colored from her and each time I leave with exactly what I want. I really enjoy coming to get my hair cut from her, not only because she does a great job, but because she’s just a pleasure to have a conversation with. I would highly recommend natural creations to anyone — and I would absolutely recommend Corinne to anyone whose looking for a great haircut. If there were 6 stars I would give the salon and her 7

I had my appointment with Meg to finish my hair and it could not be more beautiful. I felt slight worry because normally I have to show the stylist many pictures for a long time for them to have a grasp on what I want, but Meg took a few glances and got to work. I wondered if it would really turn out correct, but all of my apprehensions were a waste because she absolutely nailed what I wanted. I have no idea how she did it, but I am absolutely in love with the colors and I can’t wait to see her again! If only she did Deva cuts, I would never go to another salon again! :)

Impatience finally pays off!
I usually see another stylist in town but she was booked and I wanted to be blonde NOW. I had heard of NC and liked the use of Aveda products but was honestly wary that they could get me in on a same day appointment.
Well, I was VERY pleasantly surprised. I told Megan my stylist that I would like blonde natural highlights and showed her a pic of a style i had seen online. She laid out a game plan and got to work.
I was still thinking my impulsivity was going to hurt me, but let me tell you. My highlights are GORGEOUS! I have had so many compliments. My hair is shiny, very natural looking, but very blonde :) and I am just so happy with how everything turned out.
Stylists are all pleasant and friendly and there’s a nice selection of teas. I already have my return appointment booked. I would highly recommend this salon and Megan. Thanks ladies. I feel fabulous!

Just moved to Newport and found NC after searching Aveda salons. So happy I found this place. Saw Meg for a color, she did an amazing job! Best color I have had in years. Highly recommend her and the salon, great experience and I will be back soon

I was introduced to Candace through a mutual friend. My hair is tricky. It’s thin, fine, and (at 59) thinning… a lot. She has worked with me and my hair and my newest regiments (no shampoo, no this, no that) without batting an eyelash. I love the way my hair looks and feels when I leave her chair. I love that Candace understands my concerns and helps me work with my hair and love it. She’s wonderful, talented, progressive, and fun. Honestly, I can’t say enough good things about her. Go to her!

My good friend steered me towards Natural Creations years ago. I am not much of a salon type – I get my hair cut once or twice a year, but that is probably why I love this place. I eschew salons because for some reason they intimidate me. I feel ugly in a roomful of beauties. But not here. The owner, Karen, and the staff, are so genuine and real and down to earth one can’t help but be comfortable there. I can be myself. And Karen listens so carefully to what her customers want. And when once I was a little disappointed in my cut, all were quick to rush me back to make it perfect – without making me feel one bit uncomfortable. This is a wonderful salon with a wonderful, talented staff.

I just moved to Newport and my friend recommended Natural Creations and I’m so happy she did! The atmosphere is professional and welcoming — you feel super comfortable as soon as you walk in!
I highly recommend Morgana! She was super personable, took her time, and sincerely made sure I was satisfied with my cut (which I LOVED by the way). She also gave me an amazing blowout. My hair felt so healthy and happy afterward I’m definitely going back and definitely requesting Morgana!

IDK why it has taken me so long so write a review for Natural Creations. I’ve been a loyal client since Karen opened the doors on Thames St. Candace is my go-​to stylist, after many years of sitting in Remy’s chair both of our schedules changed and I started working with Candace. You can’t go wrong with any of the stylists @ Natural Creations. Check out this awesome laid back salon and you won’t be disappointed!

Although I appreciate their acceptance of my last-​minute appointment request, the stylist who cut my hair essentially did a butcher job. Women are better off going here. I’ll stick with my new barber at Hair Apparent in Newport. :)
Updating to three stars. Thanks to Emily, the front desk manager, for reaching out to me asking me if there was anything that they could do to provide me with a better service. I truly appreciate it. Again, I just think that as a guy, I am better off going to a barber.

Love this salon! I love Aveda and had Kim do my root color. I have very thick, unruly hair and Kim does an amazing blow out or curl with a wide rod, whatever I am in the mood for. She is super nice and really knows her stuff.
I highly recommend Kim. The salon is awesome, has reasonable prices, and a very friendly helpful staff!

Hands down the best salon! The ladies are so friendly and the vibe is so fun and welcoming! Emily was so helpful and patient wth me when I called to make my appointment. She gave great suggestions and recommended Bethanie. Who in turn was AMAZING!!! Bethanie was so sweet and personable! Definitely LOVE my color & cut!

Candace Brisson is everything you want in a stylist. She is an absolute artist with mixing hair color and takes your requests for style to heart. She listens to your vision, offers incredible input about cut and color, works her magic with a smile and has become a close friend through my time in her chair. About a year and a half ago I decided to start highlighting my hair.
As someone who is low maintenance, Candace has been able to recycle my colors of season past and revamp it in the most flattering way. She makes bed head easy for me and understands how to work with me to maximize a cut and color to save visits (and $). Yesterday I got an amazing cut and color which turned my summer golden beach hair more seasonally appropriate with subtle auburn undertones. I have sent friends here because I trust her fully and EVERYONE is a convert. I also have amazing things to say about Morgana’s blowouts and strongly recommend her for a date night or event– think oomph and sass like Bridgette Bardot. Thanks for working your magic Candace!

I love this place! I live in Massachusetts but looking at the good reviews provided by a lot of people on Unilocal,I decided to go to this place. The staff is very friendly and efficient. Meg is very talented and know her job well. Absolutely love my caramel with bit of bonde ombré with balayage highlights. I have got tons of compliments so far. I love this salon and would definitely go back to this place in future. I Highly recommend this salon! Five stars for great service and extremely talented staff.

Love my silver hair!!! Candace did an amazing job turning my once-henna’d hair into a foxy silver color. The whole salon has a great vibe to it and everyone helps each other out. Just positive energy all-​around. And Candace is amazing — a real pro who can think on her feet and give you just what you want. I cannot recommend this salon enough!!! Once I figure out how to post photos I will!!!

I arrived in Newport from California Sunday night. I worried the whole day flying what my daughter, who is getting married this weekend, would think of my new hair color when she saw me get off the plane. I didn’t even like it.
My hair was a horrible shade of a deep red.
I spent hours on Unilocal reading wonderful, rave reviews about Natural Creations. I knew as soon as they were open on Monday I was going there for an emergency color restoration. It was kismet!
Kim right away was so reassuring that she knew exactly what to do to make my hair beautiful.
Kim was fun, great personality, and my anxiety quickly left the building, (along with the awful red hair too)
The result was truly nothing short of amazing! I can’t stop feeling so grateful to have met Kim and her coloring was a work of art.

I was looking for a new stylist since we moved to Newport. Came across Candace and her masterful work thanks to Unilocal.She surely did not disappoint. Fabulous colorist and an even more fabulous person! Can’t wait to go back!

Candace is the MacGyver of hair color.
I came in with hair that was platinum blonde with dark, dark brown roots. The ends were completely stripped of color from all the years of being a box blonde, broke nursing student. I tried low lights before but nothing could hold in these broken strands. I thought I didn’t have many options to now look like a professional.
But once Candace was done with me, my hair was a perfect blend of blonde and low lights. What a pleasant surprise to no longer look like a retired stripper!
Not to mention that she is super sweet and funny.
Will definitely be back!

I’ve gone to the same girl for my hair since I was 10 years old in Memphis… It took me 3 months of living in Newport and some extremely tangly hair to build the courage to get it cut. I of course used Unilocal to find a salon… I saw all the great reviews for Natural Creations, but it was the pictures that sold me.
Walking in, the salon is adorable and cozy. Candace was extremely empathetic and so cute. My hair looks amazing. I really couldn’t have asked for a better first experience!
