Love waffle house! We don’t eat at them often but when we do, I never leave hungry. Wish they would bring the cinnamon apple waffle back, the original is just as good. Our waitress Tammy was super friendly and our food was brought quick.

Well, what can I say about Waffle House? The food is fresh and cooked to order. Amazing hashbrowns anyway you like them. Super hot and sweet waffles with warm syrup(upon request). That’s about it… Service is mediocre. Horrible at night(after 11pm). Dirty sticky tables, rude, loud people(alot of drunk people on the weekends). At this particular location, the server’s at night seem like they absolutely hate their job. They act as if it is a chore to serve you, but that is their job. It baffles me why someone who expects a tip wouldn’t want to give great service. I will never understand! It’s not a good overall experience. But if you can bear it, go for it!

Can u not give no stars? It’s the same as every Waffle House with absolutely no service whatsoever! Sat for 20 minutes, at a booth, and then left.

The best thing about waffle house is that it’s reasonably fast and they clean the food prep area regularly. Everything is appropriately salty and fatty and I just promised myself a hour-long run the next day. This is a place full of sometimes-food done reasonably well, without frills or pretension. It is good for kids, but only if you’re willing to bring a wheelbarrow for rolling them back to the car.

I don’t see why a Waffle House would ever get higher than 3 stars. As expected, poor food smothered in butter followed by poor service and a dirty restaurant. Buyer beware.

Quick stop in yesterday as we watched the snow fall while we enjoyed a couple cups of coffee and some Pecan Pie.(forgoing my standard scattered, smothered, covered, chunked, topped, and diced) We’ve always been fans of Waffle House(our first meal as a married couple was at a Waffle House in Navarre, FL… don’t judge!) This one is very nice, it’s either relatively new or recently renovated. Pretty sure we had the same waiter the two times we’ve been here, Good kid. Topped up the coffee often. This location has a coffee bar setup at the entrance, however I’ve never really seen them use it, not sure what it’s about. The jukebox is digital, which is just weird. I wonder if it still has the Waffle House Song it there?

My last meal in Virginia after New Year’s Eve was at this WH. The six of us found the only table big enough for all of us, and spent the next hour drinking coffee and eating a variety of waffles and toppings. I recommend you stick with the basic waffle(or double waffle), rather than going with the pecan, which just adds more calories without a noticeable improvement in taste. You want meat with that??? Our waiter was a bit challenged by the size of the group, but managed to get us almost everything in a timely fashion. He only orphaned one biscuit, which arrived moments before the bill. The waffles are consistent at the WHs I have tried. Mildly firm on the outside, and tender inside. Dosed with sweet syrup(not maple), they are a good eat. My sister ordered an omelet. She liked it. Overall, it was a good breakfast at a very good price. Waffle House people know who they are. I admit to finding them somewhat addictive. I will seek them out if I know they are in the area. Certainly wish they were closer to my hometown. Still, when you have to have them, a road trip is definitely worthwhile.

Oh my gosh, this Waffle House totally fixed my need for salty and sweet. I got a waffle with syrup and two eggs over hard with grits. I couldn’t eat all of it, but it was the best breakfast I have probably ever eaten. Get in before 10 if you hate to wait — fortunately between counter seating and moving people in and out quickly, the wait isn’t too bad. Service was very good.

We had a good brunch here– friendly service and relatively quick seating when the nearby Cracker barrel was jammed. I had a ham and cheese omelet which would have been very good had they not used those individually wrapped cheese patties, and instead used grated cheddar. Their hash-browns come several different ways, depending on what you want them covered with. The basic hash-browns were pre-fab but tasty. The waffles were perfectly done. I liked the«East-Coast» ambiance of this place– all the servers were middle aged women who looked like they had worked there for many years. Prices were very good.

My wife’s digestive issues have made my trips to waffle house much less frequent then my earlier days. I took the opportunity during a solo drive down to OBX to hit a WH to break up my trip. It was everything I had wanted. I had a waffle and some hash-browns and was very pleased. The hash-browns came out in only a few minutes and the waffle came out a couple minutes later, with an apology for them taking so long… shocked! The service was pleasant and talkative without being bothersome. I had the feeling that this WF might get a bit crazy during the after bar hours, so be warned. When I was there it steady but not busy.
