Fast service here! They serve a good breakfast and they’re attentive. Most importantly, cheap mimosas get me to come running.

Lunch today with my husband and son. We had onion rings for an appetizer, I had chicken salad sandwich and green salad and coffee. It was all very good. The onion rings were tasty with the right amount of coating. The sandwich and salad were real good too. The coffee was perfect. The restaurant is quiet and clean and simple. A great place for healthy food and good conversation. The service was good too!

So I woke up early Sunday morning. I’m a local in Newport Beach. Thought I walk to a restaurant for breakfast. I have had a negative experience at woody’s in the past very similar to the one im about to write, but thought it was a one time deal. Well I was wrong. I walked in and was barely acknowledged while others in groups were warmly welcomed. It was a beautiful day so decided to sit outside. As I sat there for 15 minutes, other groups came and sat down. I watched as servers and hostesses ran outside ignoring me even though i was there long before and setting up the table for them. Asking for their drink orders. Brought water for their dogs and …
Finally a server that had served me before that actually is very sweet and professional came to take my order.
She was never seen again. Until I went by the register to pay. My complaint is not with her but the hostesses. I always get the feeling of get the hint your not welcom here. I know the server was busy and I was sitting outside my issue is with the hostess that has dun this to me twice now the kind of attitude that ruins anything else coming out of that resturant.

I regret that I must leave a bad review. I’m new to the neighborhood, and have dined here three times. First time I ordered a hot dog. I was disappointed that they served it with DILL relish. Yuck. Second visit was just Ok, nothing spectacular. Third visit I had the worst omelet I’ve ever had in my entire life. It was supposed to be a Denver omelet, but it was scrambled, slightly burned eggs, and the bell peppers tasted as if they were on the cusp of going rotten — you know, that odor and a taste that has a little bite to it. The home style potatoes had the same bell peppers, they were drenched in grease and absolutely tasteless. Ugh. The cook on Saturday morning really needs to step up his game.

Came here for the first time tonight. Cute place. Only looking for dessert after a night of sushi and drinks. Opted for the Classic Sundae. Caramel was not an option on the menu for toppings but I asked anyway. Luckily they had some in the kitchen and made it for me. They got brownie points for that one. Super cool staff. Clean facilities and very spacious. Lots of cool things to do in the area as well.
Looking forward to trying the food some time as diner food is always a treat. Large selection as well so check it out.

Woodys is a what you would expect from a coffee shop, type restaurant. The food is ok, nothing to get excited about. Service is better than average. Would not recommend trying to come past 10am on the weekends and specially during the summer.

My son, Mike, and I have been eating here for a few years. On our last day, last meal living here, he says it has to be Woody’s. We live a little closer to the HB Woody’s, but to him this is the OG Woody’s.
He likes the French dip, as do I, but my regular has become the Cobb salad (gotta watch the weight nowadays). This place is a great diner with great people (hi Elaine) and great food.
I have ordered every dinner meal on the menu, too. The pot roast is just outstanding, and is my daughter, Jessica’s, favorite. My son, Dave, really likes the chicken pot pie.
Make sure you try the vegetable need soup. I get it with every meal.

Ordered 2 eggs over medium hash browns bacon and sourdough toast what I got was one egg that was edible out of the whole meal bacon was very greasy and oily note the napkin hash browns were unedible and one egg as you can see is well done… worst yet had to wait to order not busy. thumbs down

Great place to get beach snacks. Their house beer Woody’s Blood is nice also

Love this place !!! Tried the steak tacos today and they were amazing ! If your looking for a drink, I recommend the Bellini martini!

Real cute diner with excellent breakfast, nice location. Shakes are awesome and very clean.
Also friendly service.

We went in for some drinks and bread pudding and are def. going to come back. They have only wine and beer but they make cocktails with a low percentage wanna be vodka that is tasty. The bread pudding was so delicious. The service was great.

This diner is very mediocre. The first thing that I noticed when walking into the store was the pie display at the entrance with melted pies… Why would you leave old, gross looking pies at the very front entrance of your shop for everyone to see?
I was here with a party of 8 and it took a really really long time to receive our food (Albeit, we were 4 girls and 4 huge guys so we had ordered more than 8 dishes). My friend and i had requested sour cream on the side for our food but they forgot. I had the breakfast burrito which was pretty good, but I thought they used too much beans as a filler. My friend ordered the waffle and was really looking forward to it, but was disappointed at how bland and below average it was.
The shop has a cute small town feel to it, but I won’t be returning unless I have to.

Really cute and clean diner. We had a group of 20 and they really took care of us. Half were kids. This is a very kid friendly place. The food was yummy and the staff was great. We will be back again. Our favorites are the home made chicken pot pie and the root beer float.

Nothing to write home about, but not really complaining either… Exactly what you’d expect from a diner except w better service!

Wouldn’t go out of your way to visit but if you’re in the area and craving an omelet or pastrami on rye this might be the spot for you!

Woody’s Diner? More like ‘would not come back unless I had to.” What’s the point of going somewhere that is barely one cut above IHOP?
Nothing on the menu seemed special or out of the ordinary.
I ordered a southwestern skillet which had chicken, peppers, tomatoes, and onions. It was rather bland so I had to use way too much tobasco to compensate.
Service was average. The server forgot who ordered what. Also, didn’t separate our bill when we requested.
While my experience here wasn’t terrible, I’m not going to wait just for average-​ish food and service. There are better breakfast options in the area…

I love this place. I highly recommend the super spuds with eggs or the ray san for breakfest. I used to come here all the time. It is an actual diner rather than a parody of a diner which is much more common nowadays.

Not good. Barely passable. Had to send dirty appetizer side plates back 3x… you would think they would return with a clean plate the first time.
Pickles were smashed. French dip was limp and came with less than a table spoon of horseradish sauce. Artichokes came with inner pith still intact.
I’ll never be back.

Such a cute place! I love the old time diner feel to it. the menu has a lot of variety. I like the Woodys Benedict. It has really good flavor.
It can get crowded on the weekend so if you want breakfast go before 10!
The staff is really friendly, we always get this younger pretty brunette and she is very attentive!
