Don’t buy tickets for anything here. I bought tickets online for a concert Friday, November 6 and without reason without any explanation they canceled the concert. No reason given on their webpage or via Facebook. Just simply canceled. I’ve called several times and sent several emails asking about refunds are rescheduling to know avail. This place is shady. Shame on you Lido Live!!! One month later and no response from this shady outfit! Just filed dispute with credit card company. This place is shady!!! Do not support this business!!!

The first time we went to Lido Live we had a great time. We danced enjoyed the music and had some wine. So we decided to go back for a special evening with 3 other couples. We purchased tickets 3 weeks in advance. Another couple decided to join us and when they went to purchase tickets(after calling at least 10 times and the phone went unanswered) they were told that the event had been canceled. My husband and I tried many, many times to contact them but they never answered. My husband had to take off work and drive down there and found the manager inside. Sure enough the event has been canceled. It was supposed to be tomorrow evening and they had not tried in any way to notify us. Extremely unprofessional and disappointing.

Beautiful venue, very old school! Resurrected by the owner for love of community. Offers full bar, movie treats and every seat is a good one. Like many places on the beach there’s no air conditioning. However that said go during the cooler months and it’s warm and cozy… Or pretend your at Woodstock and dress lightly, hee hee. All in all this is a very upscale, who’s who. Crowd. Never know who you might run into. Jennifer Anniston, Orange County Housewife or a major TV exec. it’s in the hot spot of California’s elite. People watching makes it a double feature.

Saw Andrew Dice Clay. Everything was terrible from the extremely late start(was supposed to be 9, started at 10:19), extra charge($ 20 for two drink minimum), no air conditioning in building, lights out in both bathrooms(men’s and women’s), no smoking in building not enforced by security, security not aware of where seating was at, blocked exits out of building, angry warm up so called comedian, and short show(45 minutes)!!! Overall operations below sub standard!!!

This is the worst place to ever watch any type of show. No air conditioning, no lights in the restrooms and to top it off, the main and only act was over an hour late. We were forced to pay a 2 drink minimum up front for well drinks(Cuervo, bud light and cheap wine). For a Newport Beach establishment, it’s pretty sad that Hammer is quick to throw how much he’s worth and how much money he has, but wasn’t willing to give us our money back OR better yet, put our money to good use, like fix the air or lights!!! Do not support these wealthy, arrogant a-holes. I’ll never go back nor will I recommend this place to anyone.

Been here once for their Newport Film Festival that occurred this year. This is amazing and absolutely stunning. Was lucky enough to see a series of Disney shorts and it was a great experience! The chairs were so comfy and the large screen was great! There’s no bad seats at this place. Would go again if I lived nearby.

Great place to go to see great cover bands because its Newport beach safe to walk around at night & tickets prices were a great deal. Went last night to see U2 Hollywood & The Police Experience & they were amazing! Free parking is right next door in the Lido Parking Plaza. One gripe I have is that since this is an old venue, they really need to put some more fans to ventilate this place or update this place with some AC because it gets really hot & steamy inside during concerts. Tip: get there early & you can get your drink on at Bear Flag Fish Company to avoid the high drink prices during your concert.

I’ve been to two concerts at Lido Live(Tijuana Dogs — cover band and Crimes of Passion/Wanted, Pat Benatar/Bön Jovi Tribute bands) and can unequivocally state that this a a great venue… period! Prices are great*(low cost), the attendees are awesome**(c’mon, it’s Newport Beach, do you really expect any thugs or low-lifes?) and the intimacy of the venue makes every seat(or standing spot in front) a great one. The security is easy(maybe those who have issues with security should look Zen-ward to figure out why), the lines are…2 minutes long?, and the sound system is loud enough that the beautiful Orange County native trying to ask you a question has to not only talk directly into your ear for you to hear, but she also seems to find it necessary to drape her arm around you and pull you closer so you can not only hear, but also feel what she is trying to say. Oh, and just use Über, it’s dirt cheap and ticket-free. You’ll thank me later. *Yes, drinks are expensive, so don’t. I’m sure you can figure out a way to drink before hand(if you absolutely need to drink to enjoy music). **The biggest Hoss and his entourage/stable of women just look psuedo-tuff, it’s hard to not come across that way when he’s 6’4 and built like the Rock. Just be cool with them, they’ll laugh and let you stand in front of them so you can watch the show(hey! it’s hard to see over women with six inch heels)

Lido Theater’s Live Entertainment is a shot in the arm for Newport Beach residents. Bill Medley exceeded our expectations. #agentmarylou

Great small venue for a concert. No assigned seating, first come first served. Will take in another concert here but will sit in the balcony since the floor in front gets filled with people dancing/drinking and spilling.

FINALLY! A venue that is gorgeous, easy to get to and find, respectable ticket prices. I recently went to a concert expecting the normal run of the mill concert venues. I was pleasantly surprised on the friendly staff, accessibility, sound system and the lighting! If you wish to sit and watch the show, they have really comfortable seats(much like the ones you see at a high end movie theater). This venue is an old movie theater built in the late 1940’s?(guessing). It has the nostalgic feel of an old style theater with the newest technology. I did not know this at the time, but they still show movies there! They have a red carpet entry event when you arrive and they take your picture as if YOU are the STAR!!! Before the show they show the pictures on the big movie screen behind the stage! SOAWESOME!!! Pros: Free parking(street and behind the theater) Great sound Great lighting CLEAN!!! Well maintained Adult beverages and soda Bar snacks(popcorn, chips etc) Great location! Cons: Must be 21 or older, at least for the show I went to(I assume because of serving alcohol/license permit?) — Hope they have shows where I could bring the kids. Over all I can not wait to go back see some more acts there. It is well worth the drive from Riverside. Totally made my weekend!

Theater is nice – it’s no Broadway restoration in DTLA, but it’s nice enough. I think the real winner is the location, nestled in the Lido shopping center, walking distance to the beach and bike paths that stretch all the way to Seal Beach and up the Santa Ana River. If driving is your thing, parking is very easy. Extra points for making dachshund fans feel at home during the Newport Beach Film Fest; Lido Live let the dog-stars of the movie actually be on stage before/after and watch inside the movie theater! Was easily the best part of Wiener Dog Internationals. Thanks!

I’m downgrading it to 1 star. Why ? Bathrooms are inadequate, women peeing in the sink according to my wife. Someone mentioned they have a «full bar»? Yeah, most«full bars» don’t JUST sell Budweiser ! So basically they have no beer.(I don’t consider Bud to be beer). So that’s a downgrade right there from last time I was there when they had Stella. Last time we went was January, but now that it’s getting warmer outside it’s clear the venue’s A/C system just can’t handle things, especially if it’s full like it was Saturday at the Led Zepagain show. 11÷16÷15 update: Found out the hard way this summer that there is NO A/C System. Service is awful. We tried again, and again unsuccessfully to use the waitress service, after 15 minutes waiting for our drinks it was clear she had forgotten. The«we’re here to take selfies» crowd was again out in force.

Was so exited to finally see a movie at the theater less than .5 miles away from home, come to find there was nobody there! The movie times were correct so we weren’t mistaken … Maybe we’ll try again in another 6 months…

Lido Theatre is located in Newport Beach. They have live concerts and show movies. I went to see the band Long Run in February with two friends. ID must be shown as they serve alcohol. Parking is street and a lot at the end of the street. Great venue… great concert, intimate, no bad seat in the house, dancing up front. Excellent. I would go again.

This is my third time at lido live. The first time I saw fan halen and bonfire(an acdc cover band) and the second time I saw the long run(an eagles cover band). Today, I’m seeing bella donna(a stevie nicks cover) and the petty breakers. All of the bands were very good! The security has gotten tighter since the first show. You have to show your id regardless of your age at the door. They also check purses for outside food/beverage. Inside you can order alcohol. $ 8 shots, $ 10 beer/wine, $ 12 mixed drinks. The drinks are actually worth the price. They put a decent pour of alcohol in the glass. The first show had girls walking around selling drinks in your seat. Today’s show didn’t appear to have that option. They have 2 bars. One at the entrance and one on the stairs making drink purchases convenient if you’re in the balcony. It’s a small theater which is quaint and has a great laid back party atmosphere making it worthwhile to attend. You can really hear the bands performing and the shows feels more personal. The acoustics are exceptional and you don’t get that awful reverberation you get at Honda center or lost sound like outdoor shows. It’s also great being inside because weather doesn’t matter. Also, I wouldn’t put my purse on the floor. It’s sticky when you walk from all the drinks being spilt. Tonight is not sticky. I think they have been trying to clean the floors more. The bath room is small only 2 stalls for the women. It’s clean and in pretty good condition just small for the number of people.

Went to the Pack(Rat Pack cover band), it’s was great. Fabulous entertainers, great staff, great seats(they put seats back in for this performance, wish they’d keep them). Was told they want dancing area for those that feel so inspired, no problem with that if the seats are higher or something so we that get there early for great up front seats don’t have to look at people’s backs as they stand in front of you. Love the Venue, acts, staff and owners, just voicing my opinion. Hope they keep things going great and recommend it as an affordable, close venue. Sorry for any misunderstandings from voicing my opinion.

It was our first time here just last weekend to see ‘The Babys’. The tickets are very lowly priced and a great deal for the venue. It’s general admission; however, there are plenty of seats if you come early or standing room(at the front, about 1⁄3 of the theater). There is very little leg room for the fixed seating, so if you’re tall; expect to tread on peoples feet to get your seat if you’re not seating on the aisle end. My complaints are: serving drinks without lids(expect lots of spills), going in the theater without the bartender putting lids on the drinks. Also, only 2 toilet stalls in the women’s restroom. The ticket prices are good and they sometimes have major artists from past. I would go again. Not the best acoustics, bring ear plugs especially if you’re going to stand near the front.

Fabulous venue! Really enjoyed finding this tribute concert theater, and it’s close, with great shows. I have gone with as many as 25 people with me from the OC Women’s Art, Theater & Culture Meetup, and we’ve all loved it. We have 3 more events already posted on our website to come see. This place is terrific!

Lido Live is the best reason, other than the weather, to drive to Newport. Last night the legend Smokey Robinson christened music nights with his smooth voice and his even smoother charm. Music lovers were treated to the spectacular combination of big venue star power, local theater intimacy and European hospitality… the refreshments come to you so you don’t miss a beat! There truly isn’t a bad seat in the house!!!
