Ok so here’s the deal, I love the True Religion Jean Company but… I really believe they need to make a change when it comes to ordering their jeans over the phone. So I just happened to be at Fashion Island with my family doing a little shopping. We walked by the True Religion store so I popped in to take a peek at the sales. I found two pair of jeans that I wanted to buy but they didn’t have my size available. According to one of the managers, Rachel, my size is pretty common. So my immediate response was why not have more in that size since its«so popular», right? Anyway, she proceeded to tell me that I could call in my order via phone in order to secure the sale price if I wanted the jeans. She would then order the jeans and have them shipped to the store. Once, the jeans are in the store, she would then call me to let me know the jeans are in so that I can go in to get the jeans sized. Well, it doesn’t really work like that. Apparently, one has to go back to the store, order and pay for the jeans(they need to swipe your drivers license number and charge your credit card without knowing if the jeans are really going to fit-crazy right?), you then wait until the jeans get delivered to the store. Once the jeans get to the store, they will call you to come in and get the jeans sized. Once the alterations are complete, you then go back into the store to pick up the finished product? Really? Not sure who came up with this process, but I’m not retired where I can just show up. I work and travel a lot. My suggestion, mirror their buying experience like their online ordering experience. Or, even better, know your clients like Nordstrom where all I have to do is make a call and the merchandise I want is there when I need it, on my schedule, with a smile. After all, I am paying a premium in both cases, so I deserve a little service. I don’t believe this is too much to ask for… Bottom line, I am so frustrated with the process(its not the store managers fault) that I will not buy the both pair of jeans simply because its way too frustrating! BTW, the two star rating has nothing to do with the quality of the product, simply the lack of customer service.

Super disappointed in this store. I walk in only to be greeted by a very aggressive employee who asks if I have ever been to this store. I had not, so I just responded that«oh no that’s okay, I was just looking.» He then continues to harass me demanding that I tell him I have never been to this store before. After about 3 exchanges I finally say, «no I have not been to this store before» and he finally makes his sales pitch about women’s denim being on one side of the floor and mens on the other. I’m not sure if these employees are paid by commission and that is what is causing these ultra aggressive sales techniques, but even so employees in retail need to understand the client they are serving. If you are dealing with a client who doesn’t want to answer your question, no matter how important you think it is to get an answer, let it be until the client comes to you. Overall, very put off by the staff and would like to note, the mall was very busy for a Saturday and this store was dead.

I love this brand since a very long time. After I moved to Irvine, I surprisingly find a store in Newport Beach. I bought a Ricky Original Straight Jeans here and tried to find another one I need. Unfortunately they don’t have it in stock. The girls working there are very nice and help me book it online. It only take 1 business day for me to get it ! People here are very nice, efficient and professional.

Yay! There’s a True Religion boutique in OC! No more having to go to LA or SD! I like this one because you don’t feel like you’re walking into a closet full of TR clothing… although I’m not complaining if my closet was full of TR brand. :P I was hoping to find lots of tops, but there was a good selection of denim. Cute stuff nevertheless. It’s located right next to Russo’s. Happy Shopping!
