This location is much better than the Irvine campus location. Cleaner. Friendlier. They leave the outer edge of the dough a little thicker giving it a fluffy crust on the thin pizza. The s’mores are a perfect finish. A few bites of chocolaty chewiness. Yum.

I must say I am extremely disappointed with my visit to Blaze this time around. I walk in and I am not even greeted by a single staff member. There are several staff member just standing around … I wait a a out 5 minutes and finally some young gal comes over and asks in a very dull monotone voice if I have been here before. Told her yes & ordered my pizza. I am waiting at the counter for my pizza and the pizza smith was off in lalaland and burnt my pizza. Seriously dude, it’s not that difficult to watch a pizza and move it from lane 1, to 2, to 3 !! Just really disappointed. The staff used to be super friendly and energetic — quality has gone waaaaaaay down.

Build your own pizza. Fresh ingredients. Done in 180 seconds. $ 8.25 for a unlimited topping pizza. So why only three stars? Build your own pizza is no longer a new concept, so you really need to be good to stand out. Pieology &MOD pizza are both competitors, and doing well. Blaze pizza are hit and miss. We tried two pizza today. The meat eater and a make-your-own pizza. The meat eater has little meat for a ‘meat eater’. The pizza was really salty. I hope it’s because they added salt at the end but not because of salty sauce. I didn’t know. You order a speciality pizza because they have the ingredients all figured out for you, right? The build-your-own pizza was good. We took advantage of the unlimited toppings and add them all, well almost all. It came out really good.

Just as comparable to pieology! I think it is about the same price. Choose your sauce, cheese, meat, and toppings. There are 3 different sauces: white sauce, red sauce, and spicy red sauce. I like how they have lemonade! Instead of walking next door to get my blood orange lemonade, I can just get it here for cheaper with refills! One thing though, sometimes they over bake the pizza and the bottom gets burnt.

I recently grabbed a build-your-own pizza from this location. For $ 9, this is a very good deal. The service is very helpful and they give you the ingredients and amounts of ingredients that you want. That is what I like about Blaze: if you want a little more Italian sausage, no problem. And, the ingredients are fairly good quality. The only so-so comment about Blaze is their crust. Not memorable. But, nine bucks, the pizza is a good deal. The folks at the Blaze Fashion Island location are really great. And, they gave me a good pizza here. They will be one of my go to locations since they are close by to where I live.

This place is great. I went lighter than usual on the toppings because last time my crust fell apart because toppings were too heavy. Not sure there is a solution for this problem because i like the super thin crust, so i usually end up eating it with a fork, which i dont mind. Great flavors and very quick cook time. I suggest they add dressing toppings! Nothing goes better with pizza than some ranch :)

For all the bargain hunting, coupon clipping, below average quality loving pizza connoisseurs this place is great. Not for me, have been there 3 times and am officially over it. Their gluten free pizza is quite disgusting, they messed up my pizza twice and couldn’t figure out how to properly bake it = raw dough. 2 out of 3 times they«run» out of ovalini mozzarella, their meats are full of nitrates and other filler garbage by-products. The chicken tastes very weird, not sure if it even is chicken. Bottom line, go here for a quick bite that will guarantee to make your stomach turn.

So happy to find a place that Vegans, Veggies and Carnivores can graze together in harmony. The pizza is delicious and with so many different toppings to choose from or take all for one low price. This is my new hot spot.

I’m not really a fan of pizza(too fatty) but Blaze Pizza is great! The service is friendly and good, always available to help you out, get you something, or clean up. The pizzas are customizable for under $ 10 and they’re cooked very quickly(only a few minutes). I like this place better than Pieology, tho I might not come back til months later for the reason that I can barely finish a whole pizza. My 3 P’s — Palate: 5⁄5 — Presentation: 4⁄5 — Plating: N/A

What a steal. For under $ 9 and within 5 minutes, you can walk out the door with your own pizza! They have a few suggested pre-made creations, but a build-your-own with unlimited toppings is the same price. They are pretty generous with the toppings and have quite a wide variety. After you’ve created your dream pizza, it only takes 3 minutes to completely cook! I’ve never experienced a long wait here and find it to be a very consistent, dependable and delicious option! A side of ranch dressing always tops off the meal. PS. They give mall employee discounts!

The pizza was quite flavorful, but far(far) too thin for my liking. I couldn’t even pick up a piece without it literally falling apart. I suppose that’s why they can cook them in like three minutes — because they’re paper thin. And I doubt that will change, as their entire business model would fall apart with a more normal crust thickness — as it would simply take too long to cook. A positive is that they offer gluten free crust. So overall, not a bad experience, but not awesome either.

It was my first time here and the experience was great! They girl behind the counter explained the BYO pizza option and the options that were pre-made already. She was really nice about everything! Of course I chose the BYO pizza option and chose the spicy red sauce with mozzarella and parmesan cheese and pepperoni, ham, bacon, and sausage for the toppings(I wanted an all-meat pizza). It tasted so good and was worth the $ 8!(Plus tax) After I finished, this guy offered to take my plate away which I thought was nice of him. When I’m craving pizza and I’m around in the shopping center, I would definitely stop by again.

This place makes my heart so happy. Build your own pizza, with a fixed price for all the toppings your heart desires‽ The pizza builder smiling at me and asking if there’s any other toppings I want‽ GF crust that doesn’t taste like undercooked wonder bread‽ Vegan cheese‽ Wine at the counter??? You order at the counter and an assembly line happens, akin to Subway. When I ordered the GF crust, the lady taking my order asked if it was a requirement or a preference. When I confirmed it was a requirement, the assembly line took special care with my order; changing gloves and even taking out a new container of red sauce to make sure mine wasn’t contaminated. The GF crusts are even fired on a special tray, to lower the risk of cross contamination in their oven. I’m so used choose-your-own toppings being anywhere from 50¢ to $ 2 extra, that it was hard at first when the guy behind the counter kept asking me if there was anything else I wanted to add. Mushrooms? Okay. Artichoke hearts? You got it. Spinach? Basil? Is it enough? Tomatoes? Whole roasted garlic cloves? Olives? Anything else? All the things! The only extra charges are for the GF crust and Daiya cheese, but you can literally put their entire selection of toppings on your pizza, if your heart so desires, for under $ 8. After a short wait, my name was called and, again, they took extra care with my pizza by using a color coded cutter(which they washed in front of me). I gleefully carried it over to the patio to enjoy pizza and wine with my friend. I haven’t enjoyed pizza this much since… I can’t even remember. The crust was crispy on the outside and, even though it’s thin, it was still fluffy on the inside. You can’t tell it’s GF. None of that telltale gritty texture, crumbliness or undercooked taste. The amount of sauce was perfect(and they ask you just how much sauce you want!), and despite the amount of toppings, they hadn’t wilted with the cheese to create a watery pool of tapioca goo in the center; something I’ve had to reconcile with, ordering vegan pizza elsewhere. Blaze manages to fire their pizzas perfectly so the vegan cheese melts and gets golden, and the veggie toppings warmed through without leeching water and making the pizza soggy. It’s an art, and Blaze gets it. Bonus: after tweeting a photo of my pizza and saying how I enjoyed it so much, I wound up eating the entire thing; Blaze cheerfully tweeted back! I was only in town for 2 weeks, but I had to go back more than once before I left. Thanks for making my OC visit so wonderful, Blaze!

After hearing about the hype, I wanted to check it out for myself! Located in Fashion Island and unless you know where it is, it’s located upstairs by the shops Loft and Asics. Once you’re near the area, you can’t miss it as it’s covered in a bright orange color! You can order any kind of pizza as you please. Add more toppings, take away toppings, do a half & half pizza, different sauces, all for $ 7.95! It’s about a medium sized pizza, thin crust, but not so thin where it takes more like a cracker than a pizza. It’s big enough for one person who’s super starving or for two people who are moderately hungry. My pizza was SO good! Feels even better that you can add toppings without being nickled and dimed to death, and they don’t skimp on the toppings enabling every bite to have each topping. The only thing that would send this place over to 6 stars is if they deliver, however they do takeout and you’re able to order online and pick up in 10 – 15 mins. Perfect for those who are on the go constantly! Although other reviews talk about the customer service lacking, the guys who were working the counter and servicing the tables were very friendly! When I told one of the guys, the bathroom had no toilet paper and was horrendous, there was someone in there less than a minute after I told him cleaning up the bathroom!

OMG this is my first time at this place but I already think that this place is all kinds of amazing! Imagine a subway style venue but for pizza! Amazing right? You can get as many toppings as you want, with any kind of cheese and any kind of sauce for a little over 8 bucks. They also have these little s’more pies that are absolutely delicious. We definitely need one of these venues in Las Vegas because I know we would all be as obsessed as I am right now. Blaze Pizza for the win!

The service is great. The food is great. Prices are very reasonable. So, why the 2 stars? Look at the tools used to manipulate the pizzas in the oven. They hang on a wall near the oven, and the parts of the tools that they use to touch our food are hanging about a foot off the dirty floor. The wall tiles are also pretty dirty.

Went here today with a couple girlfriends while we were wandering around fashion island — so yummy! The ingredients are so fresh and the pizza tastes great. I ordered the art lover and it was fabulous — however if you don’t like artichokes, stay away. In addition, these are very thin crust wood-fired pizzas so if you are not a fan of thin crust, I would go elsewhere. The concept of the restaurant is really neat. Instead of your typical mall pizza place where the pizza has been sitting under a heat lamp for an hour, this place makes your pizza fresh while you wait(which takes less than 10 minutes.) you can either build your own pizza or choose from one of their signature pizzas — both options are tasty! In addition, the price(under $ 10) for a 10inch pizza is pretty reasonable for Newport Beach standards.

The interesting difference between this location and others in Orange County is a window into the dough room. After the crust has proofed, employees scrape the side of the container, flip the dough onto the counter surface, perfectly portion the dough for individual pizzas, and roll them into a ball for the press. It’s a form of «eatertainment» while you are waiting in line. Order a White Top(white cream sauce with mozzarella, Applewood bacon, chopped garlic, oregano, and arugula) as a base. Add all of the cheeses, bacon, and roasted garlic. The creamy cheeses work well with the salty bacon. The roasted garlic adds a slight sweetness and the arugula adds a bitter greenness for a perfectly balanced pizza. Rating: 5⁄5

Servers here are super cool. We used our free pizza pass from the Spirit Run, and will definitely be going back here. Ingredients are fresh, there’s lots of options, vegan and dairy free, wheat free options! Pizza is made in less than 5 minutes, and to go boxes aren’t hard to come by since they’re set out by the Parmesan and Red Pepper shakers for all paying customers. My friends and I had a great time here and the s’more pie is super. Check this place out. You won’t regret it!

Having heard nothing but good things about the locations in Brea and Main Place, I was doubley excited to finally try a Blaze pizza and on a visit to Fashion Island, nearly jumped for joy upon discovering they had one there. First of all… build you own pizza with as many toppings as you want for $ 7.95? I’m in pizza love. I won’t go through all the ingredients I chose but they were all flavorful and delicious. I love that they have a spicy red sauce too. The pizza is good size too. We aren’t talking Dominos large but it’s more than enough to feed one person(I had leftovers even). The staff was beyond friendly. Each person asked how my day was going and not just in that«I have to ask cause I’m getting paid to» kind of way. They were all very genuine(a rarity when you’re in the Newport Beach area that’s for sure). Pizza came out quickly and fire roasted to perfection. Can’t tell you how much I loved that crust. Topped off with a blood orange lemonade and I had the perfect Saturday afternoon meal. Highly highly recommend this place!
