Not as authentic as babas kitchen, but pretty darn close! You get large portion sizes and the food is delicious! Can’t go wrong with the kufta.

I had heard how wonderful the food was. What a disappointment! Got the felafel — they were so dry and bland. Had they tasted good I might have overlooked their expensive price.

On a hot Thursday afternoon, I find myself on the 101, irritated, in bumper to bumper traffic, and 2 hours left on my trip. I decided that it was a matter of public safety that I pull over and eat before I get road rage and HANGRY. I take out my phone and start praying to the Unilocal gods that I’ll find something decent and close to my nearest exit, well what do I see? A bbq joint with 4 stars!!! I roll up to the parking lot and notice Mamma Hummus, Unilocal it up, 4.5 stars?! F the bbq, mamma is eating some Mamma Hummus Kafta! I am so glad I tried it out, the food was STELLAR! I was a little worried at first because there weren’t any other customers in the restaurant but my worries soon disappeared when I saw my gorgeous plate of food. The flavors were clean, authentic, and delicious. I ordered the Kafta combo plate, at $ 12.99 it’s a steal! Comes with salad, rice, hummus, pickled radish, roasted tomato, and toasted jalapeño. SODAMNGOOD! I also ordered the side of Garlic sauce for $ 1… Don’t forget to get this stuff, it’s like a fluffy garlic spread that could make a shoe taste gourmet. Any who, the desserts looked pretty legit too but I was stuffed. Packed half of it to go and got back on the road. Great service and food, my only complaint is that I don’t live close enough to become a regular.

Excellent food and atmosphere. I had the falafel sandwich at a very reasonable price. It was filled with vegetables and delicious humus. I also tried the schwarma– which was some of the best I’ve had. The garlic sauce on it was just delicious. The atmosphere was clean, efficient and friendly. Suzanne makes the restaurant her own.

I love the food and service here. I eat here once a week and I think the food is super clean and tastey. I have developed a great relationship with the owner of this business. Gotta try the garlic sauce with the chicken kabob or shwarma. I consider myself a picky eater and I don’t hesitate to think twice about eating here. Highly recommended.

I am conflicted by this place. On line orders and pick up are fine but ordering in person takes forever and they like to serve food to people who order after you first. The lady behind me ordered the exact same thing and got served 5 minutes before me. Food quality is great and worth the price. The last visit left a bad taste in my mouth and I would rather go to Daphnies where the owner actually wants your business.

My chicken was fatty and the hummus was just ok for a hummus place. I haven’t been eager to return despite the fact that I eat tons of hummus

Newbury Park /Thousand Oaks was in need of some good middle eastern food and Mama’s Hummus has been a welcome addition. Food is excellent and fresh tasting. Staff is very friendly and helpful with questions. This has become one of my favorite local lunch spots. The chicken shawarma plate is my go to.

A big fan! For some reason there is no real good mediterranean food over in Camarillo, so I drive over the grade to go to Mama’s Hummus. Very generous portions, lovely staff, and hormone-free meats(which they should probably promote more!). It’s good food and very casual ambiance(almost fast-food type atmosphere). Be aware that the place is very small inside, so larger groups wouldn’t fit. Oh, and don’t miss the Baklava. It is awesome — I usually start with it!

Decent restaurant, probably the best I’ve had in Conejo Valley area. Good sized portions. Good baklava & desserts A bit pricy though I would return

Absolutely excellent. Most of us ordered the combination shawrma. Very tasty and huge portions. Also ordered chicken and lamb kabobs. The spicy garlic fries were excellent but very spicy. Restaurant is a bit expensive and set up like a fast food joint with an order counter. We had a large group which made this setup a little confusing for such a large group when ordering.

The gyro is pretty good here though I thought that it was a little dry. The hummus is good and the fries pretty good too.

Overpriced and not tasty. I’ve been here 3 times to test the waters and was disappointed each time. I’ve had both the beef and chicken schawarma plates. The hummus tasted overly pungent and the meat was not tender. They charged me for an extra spoonful of hummus(?) and the meal approached $ 15 without a drink. I got Laffa in Ventura quite often and they are much tastier, cheaper, and give you way more food. Unfortunately they only have chicken schawarma available so if you are okay with that I recommend going there.

I can’t say enough! This food is the bomb. Like everyone says, garlic sauce is great. But so is everything else. Turkish coffee is sooooo good. I have a new favorite place to eat.

Small family-owned business, delicious food, clean, and good people — I like this a whole lot. They’re expanding into their second location in Camarillo, so I am not alone in this feeling — business is good. Despite the somewhat odd location, it’s really busy with a steady flow of customers. Husband and wife team, Lebanese extraordinaires Naji and Suzanne, know what they’re doing, and they do it well. Really friendly service with a smile, a small menu of only fresh foods, and smack-in-the-face bakery case that’s most amazing. 1. Tri tip Shawerma beef Sandwich($ 6.39): marinated tri tip with tomatoes, parsley, onions, pickles, and tahini sauce. The meat was so good, and very reasonably priced.(4.5 stars) 2. Greek Salad($ 6.99) — all the stuff you would expect. Good feta and great dressing.(4.5 stars) 3. Pistachio Nest($ 4.95): couldn’t resist this beautiful pastry with 40 or so nuts. Better to look at than eat. Hard to bite or cut, it just fell apart. Plus, it was meh. Moving onto many other things to try next time.(3.0 stars) It has all the pieces to be 5 stars. Probably a 4.5 rounded up for great people!

Simply put, my husband and I come here once a week. I get the same thing every week, the chicken shawarma plate and sometimes lentil soup, and it is consistently outstanding. The chicken is tender, moist and flavorful. Same with the rice. Best hummus ever. I absolutely love this place. The owners are super sweet, and we are on a first name basis. If you have not tried this place, you are missing something. Give them a try.

Ever since«Camarillo Supermarket» which served kabobs and kefta skewers closed down and to only open up as a gym *sobs uncontrollably, I have been looking for a new place to satisfy my hunger for kabobs. The menu is displayed on various flat screen monitors above the counter so you can clearly see what is included in whatever you order. What I’ve ordered through numerous visits are: Filet Mignon Kabob which is a Filet mignon skewer marinated in a light of mix spices and organic extra virgin olive oil, served with hummus, salad and rice. The filet mignon is really tender(as it should be), flavorful, and isn’t dry. Chicken Kabob which is skinless chicken breast skewer marinated in fresh garlic, spices and organic extra virgin olive oil, served with hummus, salad, rice and garlic sauce. Happy that the chicken isn’t dry, it’s quite flavorful and juicy as well. The garlic sauce is pretty addicting, but is not Zankou level crack. Tri tip Shawerma beef & Chicken Shawerma which is cooked on vertical broiler then thinly sliced, served with hummus, garlic sauce, pickels and pita bread. You can order them separately(like I have to give it a taste), or you can mix and match. Chicken Shawerma is breast and thigh meat. They also have fresh baked baklava(baked daily per the website) that are displayed to tempt you in case you still have room to enjoy dessert after. Parking though shared with numerous other businesses is ample, so I couldn’t see it being a task or adventure during peak hours.

After reading the reviews on here, I was very excited to try this place only to find out that it couldnt exactly meet the hype. Overall id say it was okay, but not amazing. The hummus tastes fresh but its a bit on the dry end. Theres olive oil to mix in but the base isnt wet enough for my tastes. The chicken and tri tip schwarema are pretty good choices for meats but the rice portions are pretty small and are also a bit dry. The salad that comes with the plate is really good, so kudos for that. A really good perk tho is that they serve good garlic sauce and pickled radishes which some other local Mediterranean restaurants dont provide. For example, California kabob kitchen has different options of appetizers and side dishes that are available but dont offer the garlic sauce. Also, I tried the birds nest and the baklava. The birds nest is just breading with a sugar coated pistachio center filling. but the baklava was really good!
