Pho Tam Hiep Noodle House

Sorry to say it was disgusting, I ordered the 3 combo phở with meat balls, pork, chicken. The pork tasted like it was freeze dried then put in the soup no flavor at all, the meat balls omg nothing from this planet!, they were like rubber balls. The won ton definitely something wrong. First and last time there.

This restaurant is now closed.
The place was always packed for about 2 hours at lunch, but that seemed to be the only business they were doing. For the rest of the day, it was mostly empty, and the cashier was almost surprised when anyone walked in. The food was marginal, but the portions were large. I guess that wasn’t enough to keep it going in this strip mall that has 3 other Vietnamese restaurants and at least another half-​dozen or so Chinese and Korean places.

I didn’t even know this Vietnamese restaurant existed… I only knew of Vung Tao and My Tho in this center. I tried the beef phở and it was pretty good. The broth was tasty, but they don’t give you many noodles. I got the small (which usually fills me up at most phở restaurants), but I noticed their portion was significantly smaller. However, I must say that their phở is better than My Tho’s just a few restaurants down.
I also tried the fried egg rolls. They were a disappointment, so tiny and just tasted average. I love the fried egg rolls at Phở Tau Bay on Brokaw. I probably would not return again unless I was really craving phở.

have you ever tasted frozen rubber balls that have been thawed in hot chicken soup? add to it noodles that are still covered in flour that have not been rinsed properly. now, take a stack of 6 pieces sliced red beef neatly placed on top of each other; grab a knife… cut a corner off the stack and dip the corner in the broth and let them bond together.
wait for 10 minutes… bring the bowls to the in-​n-​out styled seatings and serve the customers. what in front of you is Phở Tam Hiep.
now, imagine yourself enjoying that noodle drenched chicken broth called «phở» in a room styled like a burger joint. the red-​striped white tables filled an electric lime-​green interior accented with purple hues around the large windows sills. welcome to Phở Tam Hiep ladies and gentlemen.
in case you missed the point… there isn’t and shouldn’t be any for this «restaurant». walk out the door, turn left, keep straight until you reach Vung Tau Restaurant, do yourself a favor and order «bun mang goi vit» (young bamboo shoot rice noodle with duck in celery and sliced onions).

By far, my favorite Phở place in the Fremont Newark area. The broth is very tasty and they serve a great amount of meat! Way better than the other 2 places in the same shopping center. My only complaint is that they close to early on Sunday!

Baah this place is sub par for a phở noodle house. you must realize these people really have the balls because there are 3 vietnamese restaurants in the same shopping center. they are competing against one place that has existed in Newark shpping center for more than 6 years.
Being open minded i tried the Phở and the won ton egg noodle soup.
I also tried the spring rolls. They put lettuce in their spring roll!
I didnt like the food at all here.
I really wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. but they are fighting a losing battle.
