Tried ordering the fried calamari and what a surprise, I only have 6 calamari rings. Not worth the money. Rather go to the one in pacific commons. Better Tapex!

Pretty disappointing… went in for a Coconut milk tea, and it was no where close to tasting like coconut. It was done in a minute. The cashier did not greet me, and had a stern look. It’s really untidy and the sign needs to be updated.

Been coming here specifically for the fried calamari heads(raw on the inside & cooked on the outside… Yuck)! This place has always been on the top of my list for these calamari, but I guess they’ve gone downhill! As for their drinks, they are either too sweet or it doesn’t have enough sugar! Never perfect! Not coming back!

I will never come here again. I went today and ordered a couple drinks; taro milk tea, almond milk tea and jasmine milk tea. They were all horrible. The lady made my drinks and didn’t even tell me when they were ready so I had no idea I was sitting in the store waiting for my drinks for at least 10 mins while they were already made. I went to the front to ask the lady if my drinks were done and I find her sleeping on the job. All three of the drinks were disgusting. I’ve never had such bad tapioca drink. I usually don’t review places but this one was so bad I had to write a review.

Go there plenty of times, not one time did anyone offer me a card for the place; like if you buy so many you get one free. I see her offering one to an Asian girl that was in there and I just can’t get it out of my head that she never, not one time in like 20 – 25 times I’ve been there offered me one I think it’s because I’m white. I won’t be going to this establishment any longer not only because of the way they make me feel but its dirty, no one wipes down tables. The whole outside sign is broken off the outside only the letters T A P are there. Ghetto, I will go to a different location from now on.

This place needs to be updated & cleaned … A Christmas tree as decoration in June? Just looks dirty, uncared for… Gross… The menu was practically falling off the wall! However, the drinks were ok & the chicken was an ok portion. I won’t be coming back.

Don’t order a taro snow unless you like goopy drinks. Maybe that’s how it is in the countries where it is from, but I just dont like it. Go to the Union city TapEx for taro drinks. After throwing this one away I ordered a plain milk tea thinking that they couldnt possibly mess it up, but it just tasted kinda old. Plus the small tapioca that were in my drink are mushy. I’m drinking it as I type aha. YUCK. Considering that there are two other boba places with great reviews and this TapEx has seemingly been subpar for awhile now I can’t even give two stars. I’m lucky they didnt skimp out on my chicken. Great Wifi tho i guess –__–

Worst boba I’ve ever had with terrible service and terrible customers. If you want to wait forever for a half assed drink and some attitude, this is the place to be.

Best part about TapEx? They’re FAST. I’m usually in and out of there in less than 5 minutes, which is really awesome. Their boba is usually on point also. I would NOT come here for any type of tea. It’s definitely watered down, but I remember it being super awesome when I used to come here when they first opened. They were one of the first boba shops in the entire tri-city area, so I was probably easier to impress. Their slushes and snow bubbles are good though, especially on a warm day.

Not the best place, ordered a peach, green tea with boba, lycée jelly and light syrup. The drink taste like soup, the boba and jelly are good.

We come here at least once a week… not the best tapioca and teas but it fixes our cravings. I always get the same thing… tiger milk tea and crispy chicken and calamari. Oh and they charge 50 cents more if u use card!

Big Rip-off! I don’t like leaving negative reviews but all I can say is… why??? Ordered calamari rings, rang $ 4.21. Received a bag with ~ 6 pieces??? I asked is this really how much I’ll be getting? All tapex places always gave about half bag full. They answered that they have to measure it by ounces. and that customers havd made a lot of complaint about it which have been addressed to the owner many many time but they don’t care. I feel sorry for the workers there that have to put up with this heat, but this location have definitely lost a patron. Please either go to Tapex at Pacific commons on automall parkway or visit the Boba places that are nearby instead(i.e. tea station or even… hate to say it. quicklys)

I personally love this TapEx. Maybe it’s because I have great memories of coming here once a week after school with my best friend when I was in high school, but I definitely have a soft spot for this place! I always come if I’m in town. The owner(or who I think was the owner) would sit in the back, and one of the other woman would work the counter when we came, the same two every time. And with how long we’d sit and chat every week, I think they know everything about me! I’d always get a Milk Tea with Small Boba. I think it’s the best on the menu. The snacks are pricy and not worth it, in my opinion. But if you just come for the tea, it’s great. Simple goodness.

Asked the girl at the register to make me whatever she thought was good & she made me a Vanilla Bean shake with boba. Must admit it was pretty damn good! She was friendly & made my drink fairly quick.

Came back today for some boba and it was a lot better then the last visit. The staff person was super friendly and told us about new drink items. Super friendly and they were very fast. We’ll definitely be back when we are in the area. I love TapEx because their pearls are always chewy and not mushy and the drinks are pretty good and not watered down. Mostly.

I love tapioca express and their taro drinks. I went to this place before do I went yesterday and I ordered the Taro Snow with tapioca. The man that did our order seemed confused and my dad saw that he put the powder in with ice. He should’ve soaked it in hot water first then put it with the ice. I demand another drink that will satisfy me because it was a total rip off! It was barely sweet and after a few sips, I couldn’t taste any sweetness! Even I would’ve made a better taro snow and I don’t even know how to make it. If I don’t get a free drink, I’m gonna keep complaining.

4 dollars for fried octopus… barely half the bag filled. I don’t even remember eating it. 2.75 for tea that was filled up with ¾th crushed ice, did not fill me up either. Bathroom definitely needs to be repainted. Stop letting kids scribble all over it. it ain’t no damn artwork that’s for sure. 1 star for the service, another for… I’m not sure

Tapioca express is my least favorite boba place to go to. Depending on what drink you get it’s a 50⁄50 chance if you’re lucky enough for it to be decent tasting. The calamari and chicken is usually what I’m craving most of the time. It tastes good and it’s never usually soggy for me. I always get the highest spice.

I went here last night at 10:45 pm with three of my other friends. The sign says they’re open til 1:00 am. There were 2 other people there. I walk up to the register to order and the girl who was working behind the counter just looks at me and continues sweeping. After 20 awkward seconds she finally ask«can I help you?» I order a combo A and she tells me that the kitchen is closed and they’ll be closing in a half an hour. I told her that the sign says that they close at 1:00 am. So I try to order a milk tea and she says that she cant make it. THENWHYAREYOUOPENSTILL? You mean to tell me you can’t even pour your pre-made milk tea into a cup of ice and seal it with the machine for $ 3?! She said the only thing she can make is green tea. So my friend orders a green tea, she snatches the $ 10 bill out of his hand, pours the hot water and into the cup and hands it to him like he was a burden for giving them business. So if they were closing in a half an hour, why was the kitchen closed all ready? And why did the sign say they were open til 1:00 am? F this place. Never coming back.
