Good experience but bring back the Buffalo Chicken Tenders. They were awesome and heavenly. Waitress Katie was attentive, warm, and friendly(/). We drove from PA to re-experience them and the menu changed causing some disappointment as the JB in Plymouth Meeting sucks.

Food was super! Steak was tender, mash potatoes were creamy. Service was great. I will be back sooner than later!

Shopping Mall dining at its finest! What in the HELL am I doing eating in Delaware on a random Monday friends might ask, well sometimes my car has a mind of its own so here we are. Lol. Since I was in Delaware, a brotha got hungry so food was essential. JB Dawson’s looked like good a place as any not to mention I’m all for trying out restaurants that I’ve never eaten at before! It was lunch time and the crowd was fairly modest. Service was friendly and efficient and our server was aware that because it was lunchtime, people needed to get in and out because they may have to go back to work. I did not, so I was good to go. The restaurant itself is nothing special inside. May put you in the mindset of a Texas Roadhouse or the equivalent BUT they offer something called a Maui Ribeye which was 14 ounces of paradise. I know I’m being dramatic, but the Houston’s Hawaiian is an all time favorite of mine and for a minute there, I started to look for the Houston’s signage because this steak was it’s identical twin brother. Good mercy that thing was BOMB!!! My friend said that the crabcakes were also delicious but I barely heard a word while eating that steak, I just heard a melody of joy ringing in my head. Lol. The cream spinach and Mac and Cheese were wayyy above average which tied together this unexpected awesome meal into a nice little bow. So, if for some chance you actually stop in Delaware in route to NYC or some other northern destination, find the Christiana Mall just over the Maryland line. The food at JB Dawson’s is phenomenal and the mall has a pretty nice Nordstroms too. I just had to partake in a little shopping to burn off some of those calories from that AWESOME steak. lol!!!

One of my favorite places in Delaware. The food is always consistent and the service is good. I think I have had a bad waitress only once. If you go, get the wings appetizer. So good. I also love the ribs, crab cakes and chicken or salmon oscar.

Stopped in late one evening during spring break. The best thing about the experience was the food– we ordered appetizers, entrees, and a kiddie meal. Everything was well prepared and tasty. Service, on the other hand was borderline non-existent. We never got refills on drinks, and food took 25−30m to arrive even though the place was not crowded. This is because the waitresses stood around for long periods of time talking to each other.

I think the food is ok for the price point. Wife and I went on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. The wait staff were acting like they really didn’t want to be there. We were seated quickly but we didn’t see anyone for what felt like a long time. Prices are above normal. About what you would expect to pay at Firebirds or top end chain restaurant. While the style of the food is unique(straw fries for French fries, lightly breaded chicken strips w very thin honey mustard, honey flavored butter?) it did fit my taste. The honey load bread they start you with is boring. We enjoy Outbacks. I like real French fries and not tiny straw fries. Many enjoy the happy hour here and the specials. As far as the restaurant goes we thought it just ok. Probably won’t be back.

Leaving now before being seated. Others who came in much later than ourselves and because they complained were seated before us. Gave a wait time of 35 – 45 minutes for 2 and it is now 57 minutes. Second time here and it will be our last.

Okay place to go… Minimal menu. Would like to see more appetizers, lacks creativity. Spinach dip was good, as were the wings. Reasonably priced. Nothing especially exciting about the entrees. Only go in a pinch when I’m starving at the mall.

Lunch time! The White Sangria was the best! Will be trying the Red(Strawberry) sangria for happy hour. Travis the bartender suggested. Tried the sweet and spicy wings they were delicious, snuck in the mini mousse. a must have!

Very good food! I really like their cheeseburgers! There so juicy and mouth watering, plus they taste insane! I’ve been here loads of times too and have never had a problem. There costumer service is also pleasant. I would definitely recommend coming here if you like meat.

Wonderful food, great atmosphere although a little loud. That’s due to the large bar in the center of the restaurant. Our server was great as well. I had the chicken bruschetta pasta! I had enough to fill myself there and two meals the next two days. I would come back here anytime :)

CRAP-OLLA!!! CRAPPYSERVICE, crappy food… Plain old Crappy! WhatEver you do don’t get the«crap» cake… Sad excuse for a crab-cake, they should be ashamed of themselves so close to the Eastern shore! But — It’s a typical chain restaurant! Usually, What you get!!! Don’t bother going in, because they won’t bother with you! Sit at bar, not even busy, get ignored & when we did acknowledged, or wave them down, its like putting the guy out, when asking questions… no help on the menu, just continue to say everything was«good«to get you to order something and get out of his hair! Sorry bartender Rob & your crony… We Get that you don’t care to be Bothered… —-no worries we won’t «bother» to come back! Scouts honor!

Service and food quality contrasted here last night. I headed in after a long day of work and a long night of shopping. Needless to say, I was starving and so ready for food. Rather than going into all the details, I’ll just bullet point my reasons why this place is a three-star right now. SERVICE: — Our servers(trainer and trainee) were nice at first, but never stopped by our table again after I questioned when my starter dish would appear — 30+ minutes post-seating. — Manager delivered the forgotten starter and offered an apology/comp. — After our meal arrived, we were not checked on even once. No water refills. No questioning to see if everything was OK. Later on, a server came over to deliver our check/boxes for food. — After we paid, a different manager stopped by to ask how we liked our meals. I replied, «Okay» and he said, «Fantastic!» and walked away. Well okay, then. I didn’t know«okay» was cause for joy. FOOD: — The starter dish, a spinach and cheese dip, became my main meal. Since it arrived with our food, I didn’t want it to be overlooked so I ended up eating the bulk of it. This was a top-notch dip and I’d absolutely get it again. — My main dish was okay — not bad, not mind-blowing. I ordered the chicken bruschetta pasta. I ate most of it for lunch just now and it seems to taste better as leftovers. — I heard that the shrimp pasta dish(I’m not sure what the name is) was phenomenal. — I would have ordered dessert(that cookie looked amazing!) but it was very late after our food delivery delay, and I was ready to leave. Solid three stars for now, but this would have been four if not for the massive server hiccups. I’d be willing to give them another try at some point.

The food was pretty good, but our main server had ZERO personality and seemed bored to serve us. She did not perk up until she dropped the check off and I am assuming that is because she wanted a tip. We gave her one but she didn’t deserve it. The only saving grace is that they work on a server buddy system and the other servers were friendly and polite. Our main server didn’t take any plates off of our table and did not refill any of our glasses. I was disappointed with our service.

After never going to this place, my husband and I decided to try it for happy hour. It was clean and quiet. They have the NICEST staff, ever! From the hostess, to the managers, to the servers and bartenders… everyone was attentive. However, the happy hour food was lackluster and very disappointing. We probably won’t be back.

The menu is extremely dirty! The sticky sauce is one the back of the seasonal menu. The crab cake is ZORE! But the appetizer are good!

Very good meal and great service. Had the prime rib with the baked potato stuffed with bacon, cheddar and sour cream, and the asparagus on the side. The prime rib was good and cooked exactly how I ordered it. Flavorful and a decent cut of meat. The baked potato was great and well loaded. The asparagus were perfectly cooked and seasoned nicely. The service was excellent. Lexi was very attentive and polite, prompt with service but not rushing. I would go back again.

This place is located right in christiana mall(next to brio). We went after work on a Monday and got seated pretty quickly. I got the crab alfredo pasta(~18) — delicious– hefty amount of crab and pasta. Service is mediocre but if you’re craving good american food– come here! They have good seafood and steak. I also got the cookie sundae(takes about 8 min to make so I would let them know that you want this when you’re almost done dinner). SHARETHIS!!! It’s a big soft cookie in a pan topped with caramel vanilla ice cream… prob tons of calories but it was good. I regret nothing.

I met up with 2 friends at JB Dawsons for happy hour and loved loved loved it. Their beers on tap are really not that special, Sam Adams, Miller Lite, Blue Moon, some IPA, very typical stuff. So I ordered the same thing my friend was drinking, the Just a Crush(ruby red) cocktail, which was on the happy hour menu. Not knowing what I ordered, I started drinking from the glass, and it tasted so light and tasty, I could not taste the alcohol at all! I could seriously keep drinking this all night, which could get dangerous. We stopped ourselves after 2 glasses as I had a long drive home. For food, we ordered from the happy hour menu, at $ 6 each, we got the crab dip, twisted shrimp and the roadside sliders, which filled us up, and did not break the bank. Where has JB Dawson’s been all my life??? I gotta start coming here more often!

While wandering Christiana mall trying to figure out what I was in the mood for, I came across J.B. Dawson’s. I was seated immediately and offered magazines or books if I wished(I was dining solo so apparently they provide them to solo diners). Danny, my waiter, was awesome. And when he was caught at his other tables, his manager and another server checked in and grabbed me anything I needed. The corn bread was okay(I think it was slightly burned judging by the darkened edges). The shoe string fries were pretty good and the pulled pork sandwich was okay as well. I also had apple walnut cobbler for dessert; unfortunately it was 90% walnuts and only a little bit of apple, but still pretty good. I’d say 3 stars for food, but the impeccable group service model is what earned them that fourth star!
