The food is great! Being one of the only dominican/puerto rican Spanish restaurants in New Rochelle, i was happy to find out about this restaurant. I crave Pernil every now and then and hate driving to the Bronx to get some. I was so disappointed when they told me they had none. Every Time i order or eat at this place, they don’t have what i want. So i always have to get something different. Its an inconvenience. I think what they should do is make Menu’s each day of what they have. Have it say«Todays Menu» instead of giving out a general menu and not having over half the food. Its like false advertisement. but again the food is great!!!

I’ve ordered from here for delivery & the first time I waited over an hour for my food. They told me they didn’t have whole chickens that day so I had to order something else & they charged me extra. The second time, my order was incorrect & again waited over 90 minutes for my delivery. The third time, they called me back to tell me they didn’t have any soup.(Which is what I wanted since I was sick) I even sent my son in once & they were rude to him. Don’t think I’ll order from here again. It seems as they just want to serve their kind of people only.

The food is so so at best but I was disappointed. Being one of few Dominican restaurants in New Ro, i expected better quality. Got the chicharron family combo meal and a chicken quesadilla– my son wanted Mexican food but decided to order it from this place. Note to self– order Mexican food from Mexican restaurants! The quesadilla was $ 10 and very thin… nothing like how it looked on the menu. Def overpriced. The chicharron lacked that authentic Dominican flavor and tasted like regular fried boneless chicken chunks and wasn’t even crispy. The red beans were good but I’ve had better. They forgot my sauce for the tostones. I could have gotten better tasting food from one of the bodegas that sell the hot food in the back of the store. The only way I would eat here again is to try their breakfast or mofongo. Other than that I’m good. I’ll stick to the Dominican diners in the Bronx for quality and value.

These people really make some finger licking food. Mofongo is there specialty, mangu is a definite breakfast company with the salami, eggs and cheese. Mouth watering. Only boo is once I ordered bbq ribs and they were not chewable and soooo hard had to throw then out. Besides that situation, food is delightful.

With a vast menu(is anyone getting the Fettuccine Alfredo here?) and some colorful pictures, it isn’t clear what you’re «supposed to» get here, although as a first-timer I figured the $ 6.95 Mofongo de Pernil was a safer bet than the $ 31.95 lobster in garlic sauce. I didn’t realize the meat would be smushed directly into the mofongo, which erased some of the pork vibes. But the mofongo was massive and delightfully garlic-laden. I also liked the gravy. I don’t know what was in it, presumably meat. The steam-table meat items up front looked good. Glancing at the menu after the fact I can’t tell exactly what they were, so perhaps they were specials.
