I probably visit Ciro’s on a weekly basis. When I have a hankering for pasta, it’s a quick drive for me. What gets me every single time isn’t their pizzas or pastas which I know is popular here. It’s their penne a la vodka. For whatever reason, the sauce is comparable to crack for me. I’m not an addict but I can’t help sopping up the sauce when I order it. With mixed veggies and your choice of meat, usually I opt for the chicken parm, it really is a well balanced but caloric meal. I can’t help it though because I’m hooked on to the penne. It’s not a cheap lunch though and totals more than $ 10. I deducted a star because their prices are at times, outrageous. I had a small chicken soup and tiny, tiny side of penne and that came out to over $ 10. That did not include a drink. Even with my obsession, I regretted it afterwards. Addict or not, I need to start weaning myself off with those prices.

Typical pizza you would get from a decent restaurant. It didn’t impress me because the staff was a little unprofessional. I ordered slices and was disappointment because it didn’t taste very fresh. It wasn’t bad either. Maybe next time I should order a pie that is fresh.

4÷6÷16. I work in walking distance of this place. Their pizza is Ok. …But I was disappointed in their grab-n-go buffalo chicken salad, picked up at lunchtime. A plastic bowl packed with baby spinach; two yucky, over-ripe cherry tomatoes; and the worst buffalo-style chicken pieces I have ever tasted. The meat was absolutely flavorless except for the slight heat from whatever buffalo flavor they added. The only good thing I can say is that the baby spinach was fresh. I grabbed a small container of bleu cheese dressing, which was Ok. Cost: $ 7.55.

The prices here are way to high, ive had better pizza in the city at the price of $ 5 and you get 2 slices and a soda. Its not bad food but for the price im expecting great pizza. Still doesnt beat gabys pizzera on francis lewis blvd and hillside avenue!

Robbery very over priced. Poor tasting food. Had bake ziti with meatballs. Zizi tasted like water down ricotta cheese and meatballs was horrible. I don’t think they taste their own food.

Not terrible but nothing that wowed our group of 5. Decent slices to choose from(which is all that we had) and plenty of seating. There are so many competitors in the area so you really have to come up with something special to stand out in this part of town. Perhaps you would want to consider other reviews that would be able to shed light on their Italian dishes you can order. If it’s slices you want though, you may not leave disappointed but you may not be clamoring to return either.

Would not recommend. The pizza was ok. Rice ball was terrible. It was microwaved! Not crispy on the outside and just tastes gross and bland. Workers were rude and touched the pizza with their hands. Ew guess.

Great wings and other appetizers. Not a real fan of any pizza with the corn starch like substance on the bottom of it. But besides that, and plus nice friendly service behind the counter, it’s a solid lunch/dinner spot.

Ciros is the closest pizzeria to me and I used to go at least twice a week. I went for their eggplant parm slice which is my favorite ever but I stopped going bc I cannot stand how rude their staff is. You would think they would be friendlier to a regular customer but I’ve never dealt with such rude employees.

I just got the chance to try this place out on a Saturday evening and I have to say it was an utter disappointment. I got a chicken parm slice, a chicken roll, and a 20oz soda, which came out to a total of $ 15.59! The price should’ve been a sign itself that this place is a rip off. I asked him again how much and he insisted it was correct. Oh well. It’s probably going to be some awesome pizza right? NOPE The chicken parm slice was bland and still cold. The breading was dry and it didn’t have enough sauce to go down easily so I had to supplement using the chicken roll’ side sauce. The chicken roll was even worse. It was cold throughout and served with cold«marinara» sauce, which tasted like tomato water and salsa mixed together. On to the GOOD: The sodas pretty cold.

I’ve been here so many times on the weekends for family dinners. The food is really good and they always have delicious seafood specials. The service is great. I’ve never had the pizza here. The baked ziti is the best!

Try their linguine with red claim sauce. Best in town. Keep coming back for more. Atmosphere is always friendly and casual. Wait is not long.

Come here almost everyday for lunch and just had dinner here with a bunch of friends! The food is phenomenal, they use the perfect seasonings and prepare it well! My friends felt the same. They have the best pizza in town but also try the penne, broccoli garlic and olive oil! Chicken parm and penne a la vodka are guaranteed wins too!

Nice place. Stopped in for dinner and ordered the fried calamari app. That was good, crispy light, marinara sauce was delicious but the calamari itself was a bit under seasoned. Ordered the Seafood Fradiavolo perfect balance of flavors. Delicious! Went back the next evening to order a simple spaghetti and meatballs to go. It was not good at all. The meatballs were not seasoned at all, mushy and flavorless. Possibly the worst meatballs I’ve ever tasted. Worse than school cafeteria food. Sauce tasted like it was out of a can. Blech… Not consistent. Might go back might not

Didn’t know what to expect when trying Papa Ciro’s for the first time. With expectations on the low side, I ordered one slice & a small diet soda. Paid under $ 4 bucks. Well… the pizza was WAY good! I was pleasantly surprised. Perfect amount of(damn good tasting) sauce, perfect crust(not too thick, not too thin) & ofcourse… cheese… a NICE amount of cheese! Dee-damn-lish-ous! The only thing was that the slice was on the small side so if you’re pretty hungry, better go for 2(damn) slices. The small soda was pretty small too. Seemed like a kids size. Wasn’t loving the diet soda much. I know it’s «diet» but sometimes you can get a diet drink with some flavor…(it is possible)… lol The restaurant is pretty sizeable & has a very nice layout. I have to say I was totally impressed! The pizza can be found at the back counter & what’s nice, compared to other establishments I visited recently, is that you’re easily able to view the whole display! This place gives rival pizzeria’s Iavarone & Alessio a run for their money… Grabbed a menu on the way out so I can get an idea of what to order next time around. My only disappointment … that I didn’t try Papa Ciro’s sooner… My final thought… Give this place a try :-) **UPDATE — Been back twice since my first review. Tried the meatball parm hero & it was pretty good. Then went back again & tried a sicilian slice & a regular slice. This time the slice was not as good as the first time around :-(I found it to be very flimsy. Almost felt I could’ve used a fork & knife to eat it. Also, it was a bit on the salty side. The sicilian was interesting… I think I liked it. It was different than what I’m used to. Kinda more on the saucy side but I like their sauce so I would probably give it another try. Won’t let this last experience keep me away…

Pretty good pizza! Found this place looking for a lunch spot after my daughters doctors appointment. Reviews were pretty good and its in a complex nearby the doctors office. Huge place, one side it the take order side or order at the counter side, with booths. The other side is the restaurant side, where your seated and have a waitress/waiter. Really nice looking place, very organized and neat. Friendly staff. Had a few thing to choose from behind the glass. I went for the lasagna slice. This was delish! Nice size slice, sauce was really good with ground beef and mozzarella. My honey had a slice with fresh mozzarella and a Sicilian. They have lots of things to choose from, your typical Italian menu. they also had a really good grab to go stuff section with salads and wraps! Price is average. Service is good. Planning to go back for dinner.

This place looks really nice and the staff was amazing. Our waitress was a sweetheart. I haven’t read in any reviews about the heavy paper they put on the tables? It was awful. They put a heavy paper over the white linen table cloth that is loud and gets folded. Terrible. The food was just ok and would have received better rating except it was rather expensive. Although they did make a customized pizzette with tuna and peppers that I did not think they would make. I would go again but it wouldn’t be my 1st choice.

My friends and I decided to have dinner here the other week, and arrived as a party of 10. Half of the business is a normal pizzeria, but the entire right side is a cozy Italian restaurant. My boyfriend and I decided to split four appetizers: their Clam Casino, Zuppa di Cozze, Mozzarella di Casa, and Stuffed Mushrooms. Everything was delicious, and my personal favorite was the mountain of steamed mussels in white wine sauce. Our waiter was helpful and attentive, and prices were fair. But the atmosphere was lacking, and the location isn’t the nicest. Would come back if invited, but not of my own accord.

Ok I went here for dinner against my will for a family outing… I was on a diet and ordered the Tri-color Mandarin Salad thinking it will be good — um no it was horrible whatever you do — do not order this salad. The leaves were so wilted and unfresh. It was pricey too. Not my cup of tea — Horrible quality.

This pizza and pasta restaurant has been open for a long time. I’ve only been here after work hours, so never experienced the crowd that everyone mentioned in their reviews. As far as food, I’m not too fond of their pizza. It tastes very bland to me. I’ve also tried some of their other items, and they were ok. I’ve never tried the pasta here, but might give it a try next time I’m here.
