What kind of place is this? The kind that is so appalling that it brought me out of my year-long Unilocal hiatus. Extremely overpriced, stale and mediocre bagels. Are you kidding me??? This is Long Island. Aren’t bagels supposedly the height of your«culinary cuisine»? $ 1.50 to add 5 slices of red onion to my bagel??? What do you charge for the brown paper Baggie? My SOUL??? Thank God I’m not hungover! I can’t fathom the bagel-defrauded state of pain I would be in right now. Do yourself a favor and go to Hand Rolled Bagels 5 mins down Hillside going West. Prices aren’t much better but their bagels are at least bangin’

Great bagels! You Just be sure to tell them how you want the bagels prepared(toasted, heated, etc), and they will make them just right! The service is better when you come in during off peak periods. From a Long Islander who no longer lives in the area. #cravingNYbagels

This place makes solid bagels, and great breakfast sandwiches. The bagels are fresh in the morning, they are not as crunchy as I like them to be on the outside but they are still good. They are not cheap when they prepare you a sandwich and that is always a plus. They have the classic spreads, they are not one to invent ones out of the ordinary.

Bagels are very good! The only issue is the service. The always seem to forget things and mess up orders.

Order from here everyday only because its close, and the food is half decent. I will never order from here again. They constantly mess up orders, and on 4 occasions including today, they are telling me they«never got» my order through their fax, even though I received confirmation. This is so disappointing.

This place is near my office, so it is convenient to get breakfast and lunch, however 3 out of 5 times I go there, they mess up my order in some way. For example, a couple weeks ago, I asked for chicken salad on a roll, and they gave me tuna salad on a roll. I do like tuna salad, but still, there’s a difference. Today I went in to get a breakfast sandwich and the guy made notes on a little piece of paper of what I wanted on it, so you would think, how could they mess up if they just read this paper, right? Well, they put ketchup on my sandwich, which wasn’t indicated on the order. I don’t like ketchup on my eggs, so I was pretty disappointed. Overall, this place is alright, I wish it was better, because it’s the closest deli in my area. But it needs to improve on getting orders right.

Used to love this place back in the day, but now I must admit it’s slipped significantly. –1) customer service is AWFUL. Yes they get busy. But even when they aren’t busy, the employees forget orders, barely say hello, take forever to get you literally ONE bagel, & are always messing up whatever you originally ordered. Fun thing that happened to my bf once was a guy literally got fired at the moment we ordered, the guy gave us a ton of free bagels & pocketed the cash before he bounced. Sketchy. –2) Used to be 24 hours, but not anymore. If you are going to change to a more understandable schedule, UP your customer service skills. –3) College town but this place doesn’t seem to have gotten the message. On the plus side, they have a ton of options — if they actually have it in stock. Go down 347 and hit up 24 bagels by DD, better service and quality.

Bagels — satisfactory at best, I could have gotten the same bagel at any corner bodega in the city… It wasn’t anything special Customer service — non existent; would be a better establishment if the place was self serve. THRWORSTSERVICE I’VEEVEREXPERIENCED! Would NEVER, EVERRETURN. Please fire all staff and hire new peeps!

Worst staff, worst customer service. They literally forget your order and try to blame it on anything but their absent minds. They’re always missing whatever you’re asking for and also make you pay extra for super hard avocados that taste and resemble green ice cubes. They also give you the option to order online, but when the incompetent staff is unable to keep track of the orders, they blatantly lie to your face and tell you the order never went through, even if you did receive a confirmation email regarding your order. OH and they also take a good 1 or 1.5 hours to deliver, even if you’re literally right down the block. NEVER. AGAIN.

Reliable place that is good for a quick breakfast. $ 0.50 charge for credit card under $ 10 which is very reasonable. I order breakfast and lunch at the same time here and they do a good job at both.

The only reason I continue to order from here is because they deliver. I’ve only eaten their bagels when I am hungover and am always extremely disappointed. The bagels are too doughy for my taste. I didn’t realize a ‘Sausage, Egg and Cheese on an Everything Bagel’ could be disappointing. The tuna is dry and tasteless.

I had a toasted multigrain bagel with vegetable cream cheese and it was the best I’ve had in these parts. Yep. I’ll be back. I also tried the everything flagel, it’s a flat bagel. It’s good stuff. I had really missed NY bagels, those H&H bagels were fond memories of working in NYC. I feel like I’ve come home with this place. They’ve got an enormous variety of spreads and sandwich possibilities. I want to try them again for lunch. Yum. 7÷7÷10 Recently I tried their sunflower seed bagel with lox cream cheese and the vegetable cream cheese and the lox won out over the veg hands down. My mom had the blueberry bagel and loved it. As far as the bialy goes, eh… not a big fan of them in general so I can’t really comment. But, they do have some really yummy varieties of muffins that I have to go back for at a later date.

Bagels, lunch and they deliver. We use these guys a lot for lunch– they almost always have a great line-up of lunch specials and each special comes with it’s own small salad. The food is good and the portions for lunch are just the right size. They get an extra point for delivering but then they lose that point however for pokey delivery service — you may or may not receive your order at your lunch time!
