If you are looking for a Jamaican Patty this is the best place by far in CT! They BAKE them FRESH everyday (no frozen foolishness) and have a variety of fillings. I always get the spicy beef patty with cheese and its delicious! Please make sure you go when they first open because the patties will be fresh and you wont risk getting a hard patty that has been sitting out.
On the other hand…
If you are looking for a delicious Jamaican entrée this is NOT THE PLACE! I cant even begin to tell you how gross the dinner selections are!!! The prices are ridiculous and the serving sizes look like scraps! I ordered the oxtail diner and opened the lid to my container only to find 3 baby oxtail pieces covered in fat, some overcooked flavorless rice and peas and a tablespoon of nursing home style cabbage! Hubby ordered the brown stew and it was dry and looked like it was reheated scraps from the day before. I wish I would have took a picture.
But yea…
This place should turn into a patty joint because the other offerings are disgusting and majority of the customers go there only for the patties.
