Cheap, fast, friendly, what else do you need?
The food is better than average for the type of place — I think it’s overall on par with the other standbys in this area such as Est Est Est — but I think it’s still a welcome addition because it’s different enough to be a useful addition.

Great cheap pizzeria! Ideal for fast lunch options.

Dish recommendations:
Chicken ceaser salad — fresh cooked chicken and it’s a massive salad
Alfredo pasta — you can add meat or vegetables and one feeds a family
Garden salad — $ 6 salad with a bunch of vegetables
2 pizza + soda for $ 5 — self explanatory

Ordered Alfredo and meat sauce pastas, they are delicious! Food alone is not worse than NYC’s fancy Italian restaurants. Fresh side salad and good hot roll! Very glad we have such place nearby.

I found this Pizzaria convenient to Yale New Haven Hospital being just 1 block away. I asked the manager what his favorite slice was. I ordered his suggestion, a Buffalo Chicken slice and added peperoni. While I was waiting for the slice to be heated he explained to me how he uses beef pepperoni rather than pork pepperoni because it has less grease. I found this interesting to know. I then asked him if he knew pepperoni was an American product and not Italian.
The slice was very tasty with the Buffalo Spice Chicken and pepperoni. This slice had buffalo spice only on the chicken so the taste was more of a surprise than overwhelming. The owner told me the parking enforcement are rabid and will even write a ticket if the meter is broken. So take the time and park up stairs and enjoy your slice, friendly convo with the owner and some soccer on TV. .This restaurant is a nice spot to have lunch and relax among all the chaos of downtown New Haven. ‚
Like I always say, «I like to try all different slices they are all unique.» When I’m at Yale, I go to La Vero.

Honestly, I like this place. Especially when I’m working late at the med school, carts are closed and I want a meal that isn’t DD or Subway. Pizza is good, generous slices. I haven’t had the sandwiches, but was told they take some time, but worth it.
I’ll be coming back here on a regular basis, no doubt. Recommended.

This place is horrible. My pizza was delivered ten minutes ago and all the toppings fell over to one side. One might think that the delivery vehicle is a roller coaster. The delivery also didn’t carry any change. The pizza is also extremely disgusting. I will never order from this place again.

pizza was pretty awful, gave it to the dog. Mozzarella sticks and garlic bread were good
