Not really sure what everyone is raving about. Always a bit disappointed whenever I get a bagel from here. I’ve had a lot better for a lot cheaper. The employees are rude and seem annoyed whenever a customer places an order. I know this is a bagel place but I once made the mistake of ordering a spinach knish and I have never tasted something so disgusting. Not to mention when the employee asked if I wanted it heated because it was sitting in the case I said yes and she went and microwaved it.

First time had a buttered everything bagel(not toasted) and it was tasty, crunchy, and chewy. It was 1pm on a Friday and the bagel was still very fresh. The service was quick and friendly. Also got a plain bialy I’m looking forward to toasting for later.

The worst service and the most rude counter people working at Davids Bagels! They ignore you and they are rude when they finally take your order. If you don’t care about eating good appetizing and being treated nice then go to David’s Bagels in New City. They won’t get my business ever again!

I’m the kind of person that is willing to give an establishment the benefit of the doubt. Maybe they were having an off day, but this is the third time I’ve been to David’s recently and I will not be returning, which is a shame because I used to love this place. I came in at 5pm, and asked for a sandwich. I was told that the slicer was already shut down, and the meats wrapped up… An hour before close. Don’t get me wrong, if it was say, 15 – 20 minutes before close, that’s totally understandable, but an hour? And every time I’ve been there(4:30−5pm), the employees are way more occupied with shutting the place down for the night then helping customers. So I cut my losses and asked for a bagel instead(for dinner, wooo). While waiting for my bagel, got to hear a girl behind the counter yell out«mother f***er». Now, cursing doesn’t really bother me, but I’m sure it might offend other customers. Last but not least, when I returned to work to eat my bagel, it was totally stale. Employees are friendly enough but this establishment needs some serious improvement, at least in my humble opinion.

I have gone to this place many times. It was newly decorated and I thought it was ok but a little boring and plan. The bagels and tuna were ok and I took out. The owner was hanging out with his«special customers». I was very disturbed with all the flies flying around the bagels. I understand it is summer but that’s not hygienic. They should do something about it. The person helping me got my order right. When it was time to pay, she couldn’t get me a receipt because the new desktop paying thing was low battery. That was stupid. I told her I wanted the damn receipt and she didn’t even try and she was holding me up so I finally said forget it and I left. There are better bagel places in town that are more helpful like Bagel Boys on route 304(about 7 mins away) and are also hygienic.

Horrible service. I came here to buy a salad and I was standing directly in front of the cash register waiting for someone to ring me up and nobody did for 10 minutes. They kept ringing up people who ordered bagels and ignored the fact that I was standing directly in front of the register obviously annoyed. About 10 employees came to the register and none rang me up. Finally I said«is someone going to ring me up?» And a girl that worked there said hold on and went into the back. I finally just left my salad there and left. The people that work here are rude. Also their bacon egg and cheeses aren’t consistently good, they can be horrible depending who makes them. I will be taking my business elsewhere! Don’t waste your time here!

The bagels here are delicious! I am a huge fan of the Everything bagel. I like that they slice the tomatoes and onions very thin. Lox is very smooth and tasty. I had to knock off a star because there was hair in the frosting of the cupcakes on display. They threw it out once I pointed it out though. Staff is friendly and prepares your order very quickly.

I’ve always enjoyed David’s bagels but I just witnessed something that caused them to lose my business permanently. I was at a neighboring business when an employee of David’s walked in, loudly and racistly mocking the Spanish accents of the business owners while they were serving their customers. The business owners brushed it off as if it’s something this man has done before. I didn’t understand everything he was saying, but it was the most outrageously unprofessional thing I have ever witnessed. I refuse to support a business whose employees treat neighboring businesses with such disrespect.

I think the quality of the bagels makes up for some of the rude service you can get here. The rye bagel with olive cream cheese is a winning combo. They also make great breakfast sandwiches. Iced coffee is decent, too. Also an excellent selection of cooler drinks.

I don’t know about their bagels but their muffins are to die for. Once you’ve tried these muffins, you’ll totally forget about your own muffin top. ;) Life is bliss while biting through a chocolate cheesecake muffin or the double chocolate chip. It just melts in your mouth and into your heart. Enjoy!

If a place in the city tried to sell a bagel this small they’d go out of business. Honestly I’d rather pay a little more and get a full size bagel than get the miniature cinnamon raisin«bagel» crap they gave me.

Absolute worst service. They are rude to you when you ask for help too. Have had bad chicken salad on 3 occasions. Only good thing is their iced coffee and bacon egg and cheeses. Not worth it. Also, it’s gross in here. Nothing is cleaned. One time I asked for a smoothie, and they took out the juice and they were all half finished and the bottles were all open and the manager had to come out and tell me that«the juice isn’t good anymore.» Taking my business elsewhere. Place has gone extremely down hill, I’m late to class now…

I used to love David’s Bagels but over the years the bagels have shrunk to the point of becoming mini-bagels. I would rather pay a bit more to have a full size bagel that will fill me up. There is also much less toppings on the bagels, and, being much smaller, they’re giving you less cream cheese, lox, tuna, ect. Bring the size back up to where we can actually enjoy a bagel sandwich for lunch and get full instead of looking for something else to eat 20 minutes later.

I grew up eating these bagels, then I moved to Boston. The bagels there aren’t the same. So when I’m home I stop in to buy a dozen then take them home to freeze them. They are great and they hold up in the freezer. My favorite is the everything bagel. They have cases full of cream cheese and locks but I never try them. Last time I got egg salad and it was great.

This place is definitely not what it used to be. Their flagels used to be the best and a good size. Now they are tiny and they put no cream cheese on and I’m paying $ 4. The one in Pomona is much better. Never will go to the one in new city again. Go to johns

The crew was AMAZING, the GF bagels were DELICIOUS, the cream cheese(and tofu cream cheese) was AMAZING. So good that my sister stops here on her way back up to Buffalo from NYC every time.

One of my favorite locations for getting Bagles and breakfast. Their cream cheese is delicious and so is their selection of Bagles. My favorite is a sunflower seed flagle with veggi cream cheese

I’ve been going to David’s since I was really little, be it West Nyack or new city or Pomona. They have great assortments of Bagels and Cream cheese that are usually really good. I go to New City’s the most because its the closest to my house and the food is usually pretty good BUT too often do I get my order wrong. I also feel like the college kids who work there are a little too snotty. I understand its New City and it comes with the territory but that still doesn’t make it okay for me. Regardless of the snottyness, When I have friends or relatives come in from out of town, ill pick up some David’s and they usually go crazy over it. However be prepared, its kind of expensive.

I know a lot of people who rave about David’s Bagels, but I had a bad experience. The service was very slow and the drinks in the fridge were dirty(a Boylans specifically). I ordered the special which was a buffalo chicken sandwich. It was just buffalo chicken on a bagel. Not very special. It was nothing to write home about. Aside from that experience, I can say that the bagels are very good. We have placed large orders on occasion and the bagels, lox, and spreads are up to snuff. I will not be in a rush to go back for lunch, but I still enjoy their bagels at large family gatherings.

Really good bagels. Pretty standard for the area — they’re a bit smaller than some of the surrounding places, but are nice and doughy in the middle and crispy on the outside. After moving to DC, I came into David’s over the weekend — thank GOODNESS! Everything bagel + lox spread + iced coffee(tell them to cool it on the sugar). The line gets pretty long on weekends and doesn’t move terribly fast… probably because it has the best seating area relative to similar establishments.
