Excellent bar food. We usually do carry out. Tasty burgers and fantastic chicken sandwiches! Service is always friendly.

My favorite local bar. A real Irish pub with a huge bar so you never have to wait to get a drink, and the food? Forget about it. The best pub food ever. Their football season game day specials are actually to die for me. And their regular menu is just stacked. They also have 3 full pool tables and live music every weekend. D & D’s is key.

D&Ds is a nice local bar that for the most part, at least that I’ve seen, doesn’t get too overcrowded, has good drinks and pretty decent food. They also have a nice little area where you can play some billiards now as well. Overall I have enjoyed coming here more than most of the other bars in Rockland.

My fiancé and I have been going to D and D’s for years. We used to go for drinks and a snack, but have recently discovered their food, which is out of this world. The irish egg rolls are probably the best thing weve ever eaten in our lives. Steaks and seafood dishes are huge and taste amazing. I had a penne pasta dish with shrimp that were massive in size, with like 8 shrimp! This place never disappoints, and its cozy and comfortable. The staff is super friendly, and the pool tables are great! Love it!

Short story… the food was not good. My wife and I were looking for Sunday afternoon lunch. With a 4 star rating, this seemed promising. As soon as we walked in the door we were skeptical because it was so dark and there were very few people. I ordered a moonshine chicken wrap and my wife ordered a patty melt. My wrap seemed stale and dry. The chicken was typical grilled chicken slathered in a sort of bar-be que sauce. The sweet potatoe fries were over cooked and bland(not even any salt). My wife’s patty melt was not good either. The bread was only barely toasted, with big glob and cheese on each side. We prefer wine with our meal, but the wine selection was not great either. Sorry, but we did not enjoy our meal.

Filet Mignon Sliders! Awesome. There are sliders, chicken sliders and then there is the Filet Mignon Slider which is on a level all its own. Try it you won’t be disappointed.

I have never been so disturbed in a restaurant. I went to d&ds with 3 friends for drinks and some appetizers. As we sat down the waitress served us immediately and was friendly. The food was fine and reasonably priced. I really enjoyed everything until my friend and I saw a mouse run under a table next to us. After we saw the mouse we paid and tipped well and immediately left. Having mice inside the restaurant is completely unacceptable in this day and age. Other than the mouse everything was fine. But overall I’m never coming back.

What is there to say — it’s a classic Irish pub, dark and comfortable and a great place for some fish and chips. And that’s pretty much the only thing I can review for D&D’s, because it’s my go-to place in New City when I feel like a big plate of fried fish and fries. The service has always been attentive and friendly, and the place is a real New City mainstay. If you’ve been to an Irish pub, you know what to expect, and it will pretty much live up to your expectations.

This was not what I was expecting… It SMELLS like a bar, weird starey guy at the bar drinking beer at lunch(no food), only high tops and bar seating, bartender doubles as a waitress. Basically, it’s a bar. That being said, the service was good and the food wasn’t terrible.

A lot of D. I went into this place by accident, mostly looking for some D, and I hit on a mother load. The bartender was super-nice and flirted with me, while small packs of aging african cats abounded in the background. I paid under $ 25 after tip for mozzarella stix and 5 Blue Moons. I hope it wasn’t just because of my awesome D. Based on my observations, the local cougars travel in pairs, so the establishment nomenclature is accurate and appropriate. Unfortunately, there is no check-in deal available. I can’t comment on the restaurant, but it appears to be a delectable deal: Fillet Mignon special for $ 16? Dayum. ESPN was on every screen, which makes this place a D-scent NFL destination.

Disgusting. Place smells. The bathroom smells worse. The beer was stale. The corn beef sandwich gave me food poisoning. I’m not kidding this place was awful. I know all the other reviews say the place is great. All I can figure is those 10 people are relatives. Just a dirty old rundown Irish pub. It makes Gaelic Park in the Bronx look like the Taj Mahal.

I went to D&D yesterday for a steak and some drinks. We had a nice time. The place looks really nice with brand new pool tables. Great service and food as always.

This is my second time at Doyler & Dunneys. It’s a great place and a cool group of people… It’s a fun place to hang out. The Buffalo Wings are pretty good.

Excellent bartender any time I have been here. She would get my next beer ready while my current beer was dwindling down. Foods great too. Ive gotten the buffalo shrimp quesadilla and it was great. Came with a choice of soup or salad and I had the split pea soup which was amazing. Its a little far from my house which is good otherwise I would probably ended up sleeping in the parking lot when it was closed. Only bad thing I noticed both times I went though, the mens room was really gross. But what bar doesn’t have a gross bathroom anyway.

I had this place in the back of my head since I read about it in one of our metro newspapers. The holidays have a tendency of screwing up my to-do lists, but yesterday I got my shot! It’s in a strip mall type of building, and I always cringe when places are in strip malls. I’m not sure why, but I just do. Nonetheless, I ventured in! It was lunch service and not a lot of people. Few people having lunch, couple of people at the bar… which is where I was about to plunk myself down. The bartender was polite, friendly, asked my friend and I what we wanted… of course you get a Guinness in an Irish place! She poured them both perfectly! When I say perfectly, I mean to every letter of the direction as to how one pours a pint of Guinness. Not only was it perfect, it was delicious! Be careful though, they don’t ask if you want another one, the bartender starts to get the next one ready when you hit almost the last ring in your pint… and I won’t argue with that! A few beers went by and finally it was time to look at the menu. Pretty extensive collection of food. Appetizers you would normally find at a bar, mozz sticks, nachos, fries, stuff like that. Entrees and sandwiches were also interesting to browse over. Their steak selection looked pretty good, but it was lunch and I had no idea what I was doing for dinner, so I went with the Buffalo Shrimp appetizer and the Sliced Sirloin Steak. Usually when I get Buffalo Shrimp in places, it’s popcorn shrimp tossed with sauce and a side of blue cheese. Not in this place! They had whole shrimp, butterflied, battered, and sauced. It was by far the best I’ve had in a long time. The sandwich was also fantastic! Definitely seeing myself going back here!
