Chicken Express

My family and I really enjoyed eating the best fried chicken. Full of flavor. Crispy skin. Soft buttery rolls. OMG I wish we hadn’t stopped on the way back to San Antonio. Now my kids want me to drive 45 minutes every week for this chicken. Please come to san antonio. Way better than bushs, church’s, kfc, bill millers, Popeyes, etc. Employees were super nice. Will be driving here @ least 2 tines a month.

This was our first visit to a Chicken Express. Pretty good. We ordered their special which included 8 pieces of fried chicken, two sides, and 6 rolls or biscuits for $ 14.99 before tax. Amazing deal! We got the coleslaw, mashed potatoes and gravy and 3 rolls and 3 biscuits. The chicken was good although I prefer less breading. The mashed potatoes were really good. It didn’t have that strange really processed flavor that other establishments have and the country gravy was good. I prefer brown gravy but my husband and son thought the country gravy was delicious. The coleslaw was good. I am curious about the tea. We went through the drive thru and the car in front of us got a gallon of tea. Must be good! The biscuits were decent. We didn’t care for the rolls. They were kind of sweet and smelled tart like vinegar. We’ve had homemade yeast rolls before and it never smelled like that. We weren’t sure what to make of it. It certainly didn’t ruin our visit though.

I’ve been doing here a few weeks after classes at the alamo community college location at CTTC and they’ve always been very professional and nice. Today I had a two hour break between classes so I came in to eat and wow! A whole new level of great customer service and delicious food. Have me free food too and brought it out to me. Came by a few times to ask if I needed anything. Manager is very personable.

Fried corn and the best tenders in town. Need I say more? Always clean, always fast, and always accurate.
No complaints here.

Stopped here after the water park with the family. The food was very tasty and well above what I expected. Best of all the service was great and the ladies behind the counter were fabulous!!! Very attentive and even though it was more of a fast food place I felt like it was a sit down restaurant with all the service I received!!!

Pretty cool place to get fried livers and yeah catfish. They always make the livers to order, which makes them crispy, juicy, and delicious. I love the white gravy that comes with them, but I also like ketchup with livers. This location is right by Rudy’s BBQ. A side note: For a fast food restaurant, this building is designed extremly well with nice tiled walls and floor, including the restrooms.

This location is new so they forget some things but you can tell they are trying. whit time they might be as good as the other location on the loop. Untill then check it before you drive away.
