In nice weather you cannot beat sitting in their patio. The food and service is always excellent.

This is our second trip to Matty’s with a large group(30+) kids and adults and the food and service was amazing yet again! Josh and Jason do a great job accommodating big groups and the staff is amazing! Thank you!

Amazing place, food, waitresses and management. Ive been to Mattys a few times. The first time we went, my wife and I shared a pizza and had bloody marys. The pizza was amazing and the bloody marys were one of the best in Milwaukee. Just today my wife and I went for the fish fry but I had the bbq salad with pork and… it was the best bbq sald ive EVER had. All in all. this place is worth the drive wherever you live.

Monday Mexican menu was horrible. Greasy steak tacos. Refried beans and black beans looked like they were straight from a can. Mexican rice was yellow and bland. Brisket tacos mostly fat. Fried avacado lacked spice. At the listed prices I was expecting the best tacos on the planet. This was our first and last visit to this restaurant.

Matty’s has by far the BEST burgers. They infuse their own smoked beef brisket into the hamburger which makes it like no other burger. Prior to finding Matty’s our favorite burger was from Wilde Bar and Restaurant in Chicago Illinois. The Wilde burger has an Irish whiskey glaze and caramelized onions.

We were really excited to try this place. Went on a Friday night around 5:00. Looked as though there was an event going on outside, so this could have been the reason for our experience. We love burgers and nachos, so ordered both. The nachos were so disappointing. There was nothing to them and they were not memorable at all. I didn’t really care for my burger. It was a build your own, and I very well could have picked ill matching ingredients. But it was close to $ 14 and I didn’t even finish it or want to take it home. My husband also had the build your own, said it was overcooked, and also not very good. The floor was dirty, almost slimy. We sat in the little sun room which was quite nice with all of the sunshine. Our son seemed to enjoy his meal. If we’re going to pay $ 14+ for a burger, we expect a tad more. The waitstaff was friendly. Food was very slow coming out, in fact there were a few tables that were seated after us that got their food before we got ours. We were really hoping for a good New Berlin burger option. Sadly, this isn’t it for us.

Do not go here if you value your time or good service. Took over an hour to get in and out for dinner. Don’t bother asking the waitress for anything because it will be another 10 minutes before you see her again. While we were there the manager went to three different tables in our area to apologize and offer compensation. My ribs came out cold and drowning in barbeque sauce, and I’m not over exaggerating. Will never come back.

If the drinks weren’t so weak it would of been 10 stars. Food was awesome and service as well. For the price of the drinks you would think they would be made without watered down alcohol.

Love this place! I’d first heard of it from a local WISN12 news top Packer bars article and hadn’t made it in until recently. I went around 630⁄7 on a Friday night and didn’t bother to call ahead, which was a mistake. I didn’t know how big this place was or how busy they would be, but now I know for the future haha. We were told the wait would be 30 – 40 min, so we posted up near the bar and just nabbed two seats that opened up instead of waiting on a table. The bartenders were fast and friendly for how busy they were. While waiting I noticed they had a mobile app and you can check in each time you’re there for a free app on your 12th visit and they have a burger club check in as well. I had the fish fry which was delicious! Everything you’d expect in WI including the rye bread, potato pancakes, and coleslaw. The size of the fish was good and I was definitely full after eating all they brought in my plate. My girlfriend had a smokehouse burger and was thoroughly satisfied as well. Each of our entrees also came with a fresh cookie which was a nice touch as well. All in all, we will definitely be going back soon to try more items on the menu!

While trying to find a new place to watch the Packer game, a friend mentioned Matty’s. Online we found that they were having a «Packer Experience» that day which was $ 30/person and included an open bar(rails and beer) and halftime food. Decided to give it a try and it didn’t disappoint. Got there around 10:45 and there were plenty of seats on the«Mattio». The alcohol started at 11AM and the awesome waitresses immediately started walking around serving bloody Mary’s and screwdrivers in addition to anything else you ordered. There was a 2 man crew making announcements and trivia for random t-shirts, koozies, and other small prizes. They were great and kept things fun. At halftime they served wings and hot dogs with sides of all their sauces and sides for the dogs. There was plenty of food which was nice! The«Mattio» was awesome and had plenty of TVs. Had a great time and the food was really good! Our group of 5 plus the 2 others sharing our table prebooked for the next«Experience».

What a delightful little place. Seems like they have a lot of long time loyal patrons and they do a lot of catering. Went for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and there was plenty of room in the back(newer) area and tons of seating outside. Pretty clean and cozy. Matty’s has a build your own burger, which I really like. They even give you a sticker with the name of the person that made it. The burger was pretty fantastic and the Caribbean sauce was amazing — definitely need to go back and try more. Also had the sweet potato fries with the marshmallow dipping sauce. Let me be clear, I’m not a fan of marshmallows — but this was the bees knees! Highly recommend. I’m told brunch is great and so is the pizza — so I’ll be back to try it out!

Got the Friday night fish fry & it was very meh. The 2 square pieces of fish came with a small potato pancake. For $ 12.99 I was not a big fan. For full disclosure I am somewhat of a fish fry snob. The other food, especially the burgers, looked way better. There’s plenty of parking & awesome outdoor seating!

My fiancé wanted to go here and I was not in the mood for a burger… I glanced at the menu and decided I would have a mini-pizza…I asked the waitress and she said it was her favorite of all time! She was not kidding this thing was so delicious I ate the entire 10 inch pizza… hey it was vegetarian no meat so a bit healthy! They also had a great summer drink menu… I can’t wait to go back and try a few things My fiancé had a burger and he said it was delicious and let’s just say we will be trying it again next week so I can try a burger size of my head! It’s a cute little local place… the only thing I could complain about was the temperature I was cold with three-quarter length sleeves

This spot is a local, suburban bar — good for a drink if you’re in the neighborhood. Their food was good, nothing special. Typical American bar food. They have a beautiful outdoor fire pit. When I went, it was the dead of winter. But, I bet it would be a nice spot come some warmer weather. Overall, this place reminds me of the bar down the street that all the neighborhood parents go to for dinner with their friends because it’s close and reasonably priced. Nothing makes this place pop. Which, isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Some nights you just need that kind of place.

They have great food but parking can be a pain when busy. I prefer to sit in the back room because it’s pretty :) In summer it’s fun to be outside too. You can also eat in the bar area but I’m not a fan of high stools because I have a bad back and it’s just not as comfortable for me. It’s one of my favorite lunch spots. You get a decent meal for the price and leave plenty full. The waitresses have always been super friendly and attentive to drink levels.

My third stop for Lent 2015 Friday Fish Fry takes me to Matty’s Bar & Grille. Ample Parking, full bar, hostess station, can eat in the bar area or in their back room. At the hostess station, they took our name and phone number and they use an a phone app — NoWait — and also text you when your table is ready. Being a gadget type guy, I thought that was pretty cool. As a group of 3 we were seated in about 25 to 30 minutes — arrived right around 6 pm. Although the bar area was packed with people waiting they were pretty efficient in getting people served. I only waited a few minutes for a couple of PBR tall boys. Received our text that our table was ready and we were seated in the back room area. It has 2 huge flat screens in the front of the room and 2 smaller TVs in the back. They should have made the TVs all the same size because the smaller ones were hard to see from our table. For the Fish Fry they offer: 1) Baked Cod for $ 13.95 — 10 – 12 oz of Icelandic filet lightly seasoned 2) Hand Breaded Perch — $ 13.95 — lightly seasoned filets dusted in Uncle Paul’s secret breading recipe. 3) Battered Cod — $ 12.95 — Blue Moon Battered Cod. All choices served with your choice of red jacket mashed potatoes, potato pancakes, or fries, cole slaw, rye bread, tarter sauce, and a chocolate chip cookie. One member of our group order the chili and my wife and I order the clam chowder. The chili looked tasty and meaty and came with tortilla chips. The clam chowder was filled with clam and potatoes and a nice consistency in the soup. It also came with triangle pita bread cuts with parm on them. Nice surprise. We all ordered the Battered Cod. Typically $ 12.95 is on the high end for fish frys in Wisconsin. But it lived up to the price. 2 large pieces of cod with the perfect amount of batter that didn’t overwhelm the taste of the fish and not oily at all. Decent amount of fries, cole slaw was a thumbs up — nice and creamy, the bread was fresh and pre-buttered for you. To top it off they give you a huge freshly made chocolate chip cookie. In this area I would rank it second to Clifford’s but ahead of Diamond Jim’s and Bosch’s. Best Fish Fry so far this Lenten Season!
