The service was fast and non-​judgmental. The food was standard White Castle’s fare.

I cannot figure out why the employees at this branch are always so nice. They are the nicest staff I’ve seen at any restaurant in the southern IN area event upscale places such as Café 27 or Toast.

Nothing left to do but smile smile smile! I LOVE white castles. The service is kinda sketchy but the sliders are outrageously good…

Fast Food. Inexpensive with a sometimes imitated but rarely successfully «Schick».
All that said, I’ve enjoyed most of my visits here. Sometimes, the service can be a bit slow but the food is almost always consistent and I admit that the variety of options helps. This is not someplace I’m going to go if I am looking for healthy options.
The steamed buns, steamed/​grilled onions and cheese melted on the sliders is a great taste combination. Not feeling like a burger? Give the Chicken rings a try. I find them lighter than nuggets or other shapes from a variety of places. Want something that lives under water? The Fish Bites /​Nibblers — whatever they’re called this week are AWESOME.
Again, lived up to what it is — this is not four star, sit down and enjoy the ambiance dining.

The absolute best place to go at 4:00am when you are drunk. I have never eaten white castle sober, i imagine its not the same. I recommend heading strait to the WC when the bars close for some sliders, with cheese fries, and a big red. The white castles in Ohio DO NOT have the amazing little cheese cups that come with the fries… do not pass these up, i don’t know what kind of cheese it is, like a cross between nacho and american… but it is DELISH. They are so used to drunk people you can get as loud as you want in the dinning room, they don’t mind. Anybody remember back when White Castle on Spring was a big hang out for street racers and crotch rockets?! Is that still the case?

Oh White Castle… How do I love thee? Let me count the ways…
One… After digesting your food, my farts smell just like your hamburgers as they come off the grill.
Two… Who couldn’t love a square beef patty with holes in it? Can you imagine a more natural looking burger??? I cannot!
Three… They don’t refer to you as Slyders without a reason…
Four… I applaud your courage in not even attempting to make the fried chicken appear natural and go for the Chicken Rings look. Bravo!!!
Five… Thank you for being open all night and quelling my desire for food I shouldn’t be eating. Also, thank you for keeping the lobby open for when I am too inebriated to drive.
Six… I. Miss. You.
I could go on and on, but alas… I shall not. Remembrance of meals passed is bringing on a wave of unwanted melancholy. Whenever your travels bring you through the glorious town of New Albany make sure to stop in the vanglorious W. C. Lounge. You won’t regret it, especially if you are hammered.
FYI: The Beastie Boys are no longer correct. White Castle fries come in MORE than one size…
