Yuck. Order and wait 35 – 40 minutes. Your food may have arrived by then. Even if it is only two of you, and you have only ordered standard items from their breakfast menu. The biscuits are OK. Lucile’s biscuits are much, much better. We were so disappointed when we learned that Dot’s Diner was replacing our beloved Savory Café. There are two or three Dot’s Diners down in Boulder, but I don’t know who goes to them. We don’t. It is the sort of restaurant you go to once and never again. When it opened in Nederland, we gave it a chance and it wasn’t great. We waited six months and tried again. There won’t be a third time. The second time we went, the specials chalkboard had six spelling mistakes on it. And that was out of perhaps ten to twelve words total. Disappointing in all possible ways. Love me a good diner, and a good cheap breakfast, but this is not one.

One word TERRIBLE! Save your money and sanity and go elsewhere. We have been a few times and the last time was the absolute last time(I have told myself that each and every time). I live in the mountains and this is not mountain folk serving mountain food. The woman who runs it smokes pot and forgets things constantly. The time before last after asking for cream for my coffee and waiting till my coffee was luke-warm, I go into the kitchen and she was hunched over against the window hiding and smoking a vape pen(she was HIDING). I get that she’s friendly and maybe the pot helps but it doesn’t help her mind or hospitality for the food service industry. My order has been wrong each time, the quality is something I can make at home(at best) and the service well what more can I say. Plenty of times the tables have sat dirty while the server was on her cellphone. One time all but one table was dirty. Not sure what the server was doing but she wasn’t doing her job that’s for sure. If you want this place to last fix what you have before expanding and nice genuine servers that pay attention would be really nice. Unfortunately, there aren’t many choices and hope you figure it out.

Best breakfast spot around! Been coming here for a year now when I visit the area. Must get house breakfast! The bacon is delicious, biscuits are homemade(and giant), and you have to try the raspberry jam on the table with it. Friendly and great service. Can’t find a better spot! Will come here every single time.

Everything was great about this place. They have little trivia games on the tables. Their french toast is top notch! Bacon was crisp to perfection. My gf definitely enjoyed her mexican style eggs with the green sauce!

My go-to breakfast place in Ned. Yes, I am an «old» Dot’s fan, having eaten dozens if not hundreds of breakfasts at the original location in the gas station on Pearl street, the 28th street location, and on The Hill. No, I am not giving it five stars just because it’s «Dot’s.» It gets five because: 1. My meal was hot and tasty. 2. Their menu rocks for my breakfast palate.(Arnold’s, the biscuits, the huevos Christmas with a plop, a really good pancake). 3. Mark and Heather put energy into this place which is palpable. I live along the P2P and appreciate this. 4. Good coffee. 5. A clean bathroom. 6. A smiling cook.

I ordered an egg sandwich that was very cold and bland. Will not go back to this place. I’d suggest the yellow diner off main street instead for a hot breakfast.

I hadn’t been to a Dot’s in a few years. Was a regular in the 90s down in Boulder. So stoked to come visit Ned from Minneapolis and find some Dot’s. PROTIP: they make themselves some super secret cinnamon rolls that are OOZING with cream cheese pleasure. It’s not on the menu, but definitely worth splitting with your honey while it’s piping hot. Yum.

Giant biscuits! The small southern style breakfast($ 9) was plenty and included grits, thinly sliced ham, 1 egg, a biscuit, and gravy made from bacon and ham. The service was friendly and swift.

Oh lord, the green machine of herbal medicine has cleaned the ranks of any semblance of competency. We walked out when we realized one waitress was serving everyone in the place! Go on an off hour and perhaps the breaks will have taken place and those glorious dots biscuits of my youth might make it to your table before the apocalypse.

Great little place, with yummy food. Ordered the special omelet with spinach, mushrooms and feta, came with country potatoes and an oversized biscuit. On the table fresh raspberry jam for the delicious biscuit. Food was fresh and delicious. It’s labor day and service was quick considering they were completely packed. Definitely a stop to make!

A great diner with great classic breakfast fare and biscuits and burrrritos! It’s a small venue so sometimes there’s a 5 – 10 minute wait, but it’s always worth the wait. If you have a burrrrito, have a Xmas burrrrito with red & green chile! Staff is friendly and prompt, place is clean, we’ll be back often!

Just waited sitting at our table for 10+ minutes without being acknowledged. Finally got our order in via a really stoney waitress. Meanwhile table next to us sat there for another 5 before finally asking for some coffee and someone to take their order. The older woman working the front told them to look at the sign on the wall — «be nice or leave» — and then kicked them out. And they were locals. Unbelievable. It was incredibly rude. You should never treat customers that way.

A great place to go for post hike food. The Ned is really the only close place by to eat but this place has breakfast all day. Just what we needed to have after a strenuous hike. Food was very tasty and didn’t sit long on our plates. Not exactly sure if it is he mountain air or our incredible hunger, but the food didn’t last 5 minutes.

This place has got some major kinks to work out. Fingers crossed that it can do so and I can bump up this star rating. There were lots of problems here. Most of our orders were wrong, there was hair in my omelette, the menu was lacking, and the food was poorly prepared, people were packed in and unable to get out of their tables without hitting another party(and not just a little bump, but a knock-your-table over kind of bump). All around, it just was not that great. The positives: the waiters were friendly and attentive and the biscuits were incredibly good. All in all, I will not be coming back unless some major changes are made. It’s disappointing because I am such a fan of the Boulder location. P. S.- The owner’s passive aggressive comments on every less-than-positive post may be indicative of Dots subpar operation. While undoubtedly the restaurant can think up an excuse for every wrongdoing, why does Dots have to resort to so many? I was not impressed by Dots in the first place, even less so after reading the owner’s responses.
