Bakery by frothy monkey

What a cute little spot!
I was in dire need of a coffee and a quick bite to eat, so I wandered in to Frothy Monkey, knowing they’re one of Nashville’s favorite local coffee houses. Staff was super friendly and helped me choose one of their tasty breakfast sandwiches. Egg and cheese on brioche. Yum! No matter what you get, ask for the brioche. It’s delicious.
Iced coffee was excellent and I loved that the condiment bar was stocked with all kinds of options, including almond milk and agave nectar. Serious bonus points for the almond milk!
My total came out to about $ 10 for the sandwich and the coffee. A few dollars more than you’d pay at other coffee shops, but I like supporting local business.
Take note that this place is super tiny with seating for only 4 – 5 people. That being said, it’s a great place to visit if you’re by yourself. I liked the coziness and didn’t feel out of place for dining solo.
Extra bonus points for offering bread /​pastry samples and having outlets available to charge up devices.

Stopped by this AM. Had a gluten free butterscotch muffin & drip coffee with vanilla. It was delicious!!! Very happy :) staff was very pleasant.

Cannot say enough about this place. The ham+cheese is one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. No lie, its unbelievably good. The menu is small but all great choices. Cookies also unreal, great. I just hate that there isn’t any small tables to sit. The 4ish wooden stools against the window don’t cut it… rather sit in my car lol. Anyways if you’re looking for something to-​go for breakfast/​lunch this is the place.

I’m not a coffee drinker, so I can’t speak to that, but the sandwiches and pastries are killer. All of them. The Emma Lou is one of my favorite breakfast sandwiches in town.
My biggest problem with it is that with the new remodel, there are no tables. Definitely not a place to sit and chat with friends over breakfast.
If you’re grabbing breakfast on the go, tough, this is the place to do it. Also they always have free samples of the breakfast bun at the register and this girl right here cannot resist free samples.
