Sam at KDC has been my go to roaster for years. Many years ago I was on the verge of roasting my own beans since wherever I went over roasting was the in thing. He has a real grasp of proper roasting profiles for varietals IMHO, particularly those that shine with a light touch. So citrus notes are not lost. Even dark roast have not been killed and maintain smoothness and lack bitterness. Careful attention to detail. Highly recommended. You will not be disappointed.

If you can find this place, in an industrial building off of Bridge Street, you’ll find the trip worthwhile. The owner sold me probably the best decaffeinated coffee I’ve ever tasted. He has a wide range of regular coffees, which I’m sure are even better.
Once you get inside, head up to the second floor. You can follow the concentration gradient of coffee aroma after you get up there.
You’ll find the prices very reasonable for the quality of coffee you get.

Great, freshly roasted coffee. Good prices and options. We recently got single serve packs with customized label for a gift bag we were giving away. Quick turnaround and everyone LOVED it! The owner, Sam, took the time to explain a number of options and pricing to us so we were very comfortable with what we purchased. We have had other relatives purchase various coffee products (beans, ground etc) from here and all have had GREAT things to say!
