I’m sad. I liked this place. It has good food, excellent coffee, and with one exception, fine service. However, I no longer feel comfortable here. The problem is one apparently senior member of the team who dealt poorly with a request I made when I was in a hurry. She wouldn’t meet my needs or specify any way to do so within a reasonable timeframe. I’m a long-time, frequent customer and a good tipper, and while I don’t expect to buy goodwill that way, it’d be nice if an absence of passive ill will were purchasable at some published price. I’ll miss their crepes, their fireplace, their armchairs, and most of all the good people on their staff… but until that one problem person is gone, I don’t want to go there.

The cup of love is a very good mocha. It’s chocolate and coffee/latte in pretty equal parts. It seemed like chocolate was their specialty since 2 – 3 of their signature drinks were mocha-like. Unfortunately the cinnamon roll was lackluster, even though it had cream cheese frosting… they should enrich the dough more(butter/eggs) ala brioche, and roll it so that it is layers separated with cinnamon&sugar. The setting was amazing, very warm and comforting, almost like a club. The staff were very nice and helpful. So if I wanted to meet someone over coffee I would highly recommend this place. But if you want a pastry you might want to look elsewhere. Free wifi.

My FAVORITE Nashua lunch and coffee spot. Their ‘cup of love’ coffee latte is the best. Espresso, dark chocolate, and steam milk, this is my go to coffee. Ice tea, and a spinach salad is my lunch of choice. Close to downtown, plenty of parking YUMMY

My boyfriend and I came here for coffees and were not disappointed in the slightest. In fact, we were so pleasantly surprised that we decided we must come back. I ordered a hot latte with skim and he got the Milky Way drink. He was absolutely in love with it, as was I was my dark and creamy latte. The prices are fair to size— I ordered a medium and was surprised to see how big it was. Coffee shops usually portion their coffees more on the smaller size, but not this place. Plus, all proceeds from coffees go to charity! Bonus!

Paid a visit last Saturday as it had been a long time since our last. We ordered 2 cups of coffee, a blueberry tart which they warmed, along with a bagel which was sent to the back to be toasted. Waited a very long time for the bagel, in fact I had just about finished the tart when we had to go back to the counter to inquire about the bagel. A couple mins later the bagel arrives at the table looking like a hockey puck along with an explanation that the individual had put it in the oven and then gone on break, «sorry» they said — they actually brought it to the table. They offered a new one(which should have been done automatically) but we were in a hurry at this point and declined. For the price you pay, this is not acceptable. On the bright side, the coffee was good, the pastry tasty.

I love this place! The coffee is amazing. Beautiful atmosphere and the staff are really nice. Today was my 2nd visit. My husband had the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich and I had the ham and cheese crêpe. My crêpe was excellent and my husband thought his was really tasty too. We sat by the fire place and are looking forward to spending many chilly days sipping coffee by the fire. I wish this place was open on Sunday’s!

I went here with my family for lunch today. This place easily beats out Panera Bread or Starbucks in my opinion. Not only are both the taste and prices better but I’ve never had better service at a coffee house. They accidentally threw away my drink but replaced it with a new drink free of charge. Bonhoeffers is a non profit coffee house. The proceeds go to «provide food, housing, medical supplies and educational opportunities for orphans and refugees from refugees from impoverished and developing nations.» They roast their own coffee with Direct Trade beans from Ethiopia(light), El Salvador(medium), Uganda(dark), and Papau New Guinea(decaf). The Papau New Guinea beans are decaffeinated naturally with water rather than using chemicals. If you have the option of going to Bonhoeffers I highly encourage it.

I happened upon this place by accident after my first choice for lunch today was closed. I took a side street to turn around and head back to work and boy am I ever glad I saw this place. I had seen it before on Unilocal but didn’t pay much attention. I walked in, the place is very nice and cozy, I think it would be great to come here and chill when you have more time. Their pastries look great, I didnt get a chance to look over them all. I ordered a Turkey Avocado Bacon Wrap. I rarely order anything with Bacon but decided to go ahead with it. i also ordered a Black Iced Coffee. The coffee I had first, lovely. Rich with a deep undertone. I had my wrap when I got back to work and let me just say… SOFLAVORFUL… different textures, different flavors just working perfectly. So so good! I will definitely be back, hopefully next time it wont be such a rainy dreary day!!!

Great coffee and food. Excellent Atmosphere. Reliable and fast wifi. Good staff. Incredibly limited hours. I enjoy the coffee shop’s ambience. It’s a great place to grab a latter, slice of quiche, or a wrap. You can relax, work on your laptop, or chat with friends. The staff can be inexperienced and a bit flighty, but always friendly and work to make things right. I am frustrated by their lack of evening, Saturday afternoon, and Sunday hours. Plus, they close the kitchen way too early(2:00PM). Be aware if you’re looking for a late lunch or to work into the early evening.

This was a great café with a homey vibe and delicious food and coffee. The brick walls and dark leather chairs are incredibly welcoming, and so were the staff. Excellent place to study.

Work across from it and drifted in one afternoon to grab some lunch. I say come for the coffee and pastries and stay for the atmosphere. Food is nothing special and very limited options. Cozy and welcome for a chat with a friend or just to relax and read but eat beforehand.

Excellent food & coffee. Wishing they had extended hours! Very nice, roomy space. To the owners, closing the kitchen at 1pm on Saturdays is very limiting — as is the 2pm sat closing. Also hoping you’ll consider opening on Sunday’s — great place to gather over coffee & lunch. Thanks!

An almost ideal coffee shop. I don’t want to say too many good things about this venue because it will get too popular and cause excitement and crowds and I won’t be able to find a seat. Great coffee and always pipin’ hot. Free wi-fi. Service is a tad slow; however, the drinks are handcrafted so this is excusable. The staff isn’t friendly per se, unless they are serving their friends(?) I just don’t understand why friendliness isn’t a requisite at all businesses. Fresh food isn’t an option here. They are refrigerated and bland in my opinion – I stick with the drinks. In their busier moments the place can get quite loud and the place gets dirty(people don’t pick up after themselves). Their back lot parking is ample and secured by CCTV.

I really feel the need to update this review. The one complaint that we really had after coming here a few times was that it seemed to take too long for the coffee and I blamed the urgency of the staff. I was wrong. We usually go there every Saturday once the weather starts getting cold(and on rainy summer days). After ordering basically the same drinks every time we go(me: German Chocolate Mocha, L: Caramel Latte with a shot of Hazelnut) I realized that it takes so long to get our coffees because of the process that they go through, not any lack of urgency. We hate that summer is over but we love the fact that we will be at Bonhoeffer’s every Saturday!

Very friendly staff. Consistently good lattes, my only wish is that they were a bit more hot If you like funky beverages /they always have seasonal specials, very nice baked goods, quiche, crepes, salads, sandwiches, soups– not tons of each but all good Love the interior! Love this place! Don’t go if you are in a big hurry tho

Bonhoeffers is an inviting, warm coffee shop serving coffee, tea, pastries, sandwiches, etc. The atmosphere is relaxed and the service is good. I love the section in the middle with the rug where my young one can play. The fireplace is great too, not too hot or dangerous for him to play near. I’ve often seen people lounging on the leather chairs, feet up on an ottoman, just like being at a friend’s house. Highly recommend the Milky Way!

Benefits: — fair trade coffee and espresso — lots of cozy seating — plenty of tables — fireplace — free wifi — decent access to power outlets — nice selection of alternative drinks — decent selection of pastries & wraps — friendly service & pleasant atmosphere — clean bathrooms w/two stalls for ladies — captioned news on TV — profits go to charities — parking lot on the side of building Drawbacks: — not open on Sundays or evenings — played Fox News on TV — attracts a more conservative and judgmental crowd than most coffee shops(which could be a bonus if you identify with those labels.) Overall– the atmosphere is excellent with huge leather chairs to enjoy in front of a big stone fireplace– a perfect spot for reading and sipping coffee. Plus there’s plenty of tables and table heights for any variety of groups or working styles. They tend to attract a business crowd and a few freelancers and housewives because of their downtown location and daytime hours. Even though I’m pretty liberal and was turned off by a few of the blatant conservative tendencies(they closed the next day I was there to become a temporary campaign headquarters for Rep. candidate Michelle Bachman), I’d still go back for those great fireplace seats… IF they were open on Sunday or in the evening which is when I usually crave that environment.
