Amazing food!!! I’d definitely try the dry chili chicken. Spicy but delicious. Menus are a little lo tech but don’t let that fool you this place is great. The lunch special is such a good deal… you get tons of food.

I hosted a medium sized group here for a Chinese dinner. There was a slight mixup as the owner had forgotten to tell the servers that we were coming, but that was cleared up once she returned. The waitress did get two of the orders crossed and insisted she was right, but we overlooked that as the food was really superb! We tried the Beef Broccoli, Cumin Lamb and Schezuan Fish. They were definitely worth the visit. I would go again just for the variety of entrees and be careful/double check that the orders were processed correctly.

This used to me our favorite Chinese restaurant in the burbs but since the new management took over couple months ago things has gone downhill to bad. We use to come here on a regular basis. However, I think there’s a management change earlier this year. Ambiance: — 3 out of 5 This is one of the better ratings for this restaurant but still just ok. The place is decorated jsut like your typical chinese restaurant. Service: — 3 out of 5 Service is typical of your regular Chinese restaurant. Our server is helpful. and friendly, explained the menu and check back with us promptly when the food came. Food: –2 out of 5 This is the coup de gras. We order the few dishes we use to order here, They spicy beef and maw, fish fillet stew, and Spicy Shichuan chicken. When the food came, we immediately notice the portion has been reduced. Well, no biggy, we understand… there’s inflation and it’s an business decision. But then when we eat our food, we felt the taste has completed changed and the flavor is not just not changed but they were not flavorful and to us it felt tlike all it is now was just spicy, now wait a second you said, its Shichuan food, it meant to be spicy. Yes but then again, it should maintain some flavor and standard as well, which we found are totally missing. Bottomline: I will not come back and do not recommend this place to others. Other restaurant in town like the one just opened recently at west Naperville is probably a better choice. I’m not endorsing other restaurant, just making a comparison. DMAN

We came here after a long day of shopping returning back to Chicago from the premium outlets. My partner and I were thoroughly satisfied with the food at Yu’s. The Sichuan items were exactly what you would expect from an authentic Chinese restaurant. If you are Asian and are nearby you should do yourself a favour and drop by. Your taste buds will thank you. The owner and waitress were also very friendly and they were so nice to give us a complimentary hot and sour soup. Thank you! I only wish we had a restaurant like this closer downtown.

If you love Chinese food you HAVE to try Yu’s. The food is amazing with a lot of variety. Nancy, the owner, is a pure joy. She is a delightful person and makes you feel special. My fiancée and I try to go once a month, if not twice. I recently moved here from Chicago and hands down Yu’s is better than any food you’ll have in Chinatown. Go to Yu’s!!! You will not be disappointed.

We stopped by Yu’s Bistro for dinner, and left the restaurant pleasantly surprised and satisfied. The service was excellent, and the food was really good. We ordered dinner for 3, which included egg drop soup, crab Rangoon, Mongolian beef, fried rice, and broccoli chicken. The serving size was on the extra side. In fact, we took food home. The price was reasonable at$ 38.00.we will definitely stop by for dinner soon.

I had a dream that I’d found the best Chinese and Thai food in the western suburbs, a place where the owners welcome you into their restaurant as if it were home, and treat you like family. Then that dream came true when I visited Yu’s Bistro last night. Tucked away in an unassuming shopping center, you almost don’t realize you’re passing a restaurant until you spot it. But do yourself a favor, stop in and sample some of the amazing food. We tried out the potstickers, which were fresh, crispy and delicious, and we each had an order of pad thai. If you’ve followed my reviews, you may be familiar with my frustration with a lack of good pad thai anywhere around. I finally found the best, and if that means driving to Naperville to have it each time a craving hits, then so be it! The food is full of flavor, with just the right amount of tang. It’s perfect. New owners took over the restaurant in November 2015, so they’re slowly making changes to both the restaurant itself and the menu, bringing in more thai specialities and changing things up. But the thing about Yu’s that’s different from any other restaurant is the way you feel. It’s like coming home to a place you didn’t know you missed. The server/hostes, Nancy is the friendliest lady you’ll ever meet. She greets you warmly and takes care of you throughout your meal, making sure you’re comfortable and have everything you need. The owners come out and chat with you and really treat you with care. I’ve never said this about an establishment before, but you can feel the love that was put into the restaurant and it really shines when the owners come out to visit. The décor is simple, but attractive and the dining room is spotless. They use paper on all the tables to keep things clean for each of the customers. The booths are very comfortable and roomy, but tall so there’s also a sense of privacy. All in all, I look forward to visiting again and sampling more of the food. We played it safe last night, but now that we know we love it, we’ll be back to try new things. Now that the construction on Route 59 is complete, it’s easy to hop off I-88 and find your way to Yu’s. In fact, let me know when you’re going and I will meet«Yu» there.

Recently moved to the area and have tried every Chinese restaurant/carry out in a 5 mile radius from our home. Sat down for dinner today… hands down, Yu’s wins on quality and price. Especially with the new management/owners. Since early November 2015(I asked the nice waitress).

My family went here for Christmas Eve and it was wonderful. The service was friendly and fast. The food was delicious and authentic. The best part of the night by far was the Peking duck! It was crispy and so flavorful. This was the perfect spot for a holiday dinner.

The new ownership is amazing. This place is very quaint inside. The décor is nice and just has a homey type of feel to it. The food is also amazing. We got egg rolls, basil fried rice, orange chicken, and chicken pad thai. Everything was great. We also tried the sesame balls for desert and they were on point. I was looking for a great Chinese restaurant in the area and I think I found the place. I will definitely be back and think you need go check this place out.

Delicious food and wonderful customer service! We will be back again soon! We started off with crab rangoons and the pork belly and they were both amazing. Then we shared Mongolian beef, crispy duck, and sesame chicken and everything was flavorful and delicious!

Came back this weekend following a message from Michael, the new owner, and was very much impressed with the changes they’ve made. We ordered chicken fried rice, a pretty safe choice, but it was still some of the best I’ve had. We’ll be back!

Yu’s Bistro let’s see what to say about this place. One word AMAZING! The new owners Mike and Nancy are wonderful, superb customer service from them. They cater to your needs. Food is so filling, everthing from the appetizers to the entrees. The menu is huge, so many wonderful dishes to satisfy everyone’s belly’s. I had the crab rangoon, which was creamy delicious. The Koa Soy was what I went for and it hit the spot! I ate it so quickly that I forgot to snap a pic. The desserts were yummy as welll, pumpkin cake balls and sesame balls… mmhmmm…I’m hungry again. Definitely check this place out!!! After to burn those calories, go shopping. This is what myself and a few friends of mine did. Every shopping store is there!!! Go try it!!! Now!!!

I got 3 others to try this place based on the Unilocal reviews. I can only assume people where paid for rating this place a 4. Unless you eat out of a garbage dump, you cannot like this place. between the 4 of us we had Egg drop soup, and wonton. Everyone had the same tasteless soup. Basically bad campbells, with nothing else in it. I did have 1 wonton just tasteless. Next we all got the appetizers add on to the meals. You get a spring roll, fried shrimp, and crab rangoon. The springroll was just cabbage, no taste. The fried shrimp was just mush and tasteless. The crab rangoon was not the best I have ever had but the cream cheese was by far the best thing on the menu. I got the mongolian Beef. If your going to call it a beef dish you need to actually have more beef than onions. The beef and onions are cooked but that is it. No salt, pepper, garlic, oil, hot pepper, random sauce etc. No flavor can be used it this cooking. The others had Kung pao shrimp, and pork dish that also just had no flavor at all. The orange chicken did have flavor… sugar… lots of sugar… enough to kill a horse. On a side not my dish came with pork friend rice. Here is a thought if its pork fried rice you actually need to put pork in it!!! It was rice and soy sauce. No vegetables, pork, anything. please do not waste your time with this place.

Their dry chili chicken is probably one of the best I’ve had. It was just the right amount of spice(more on the spicy side), and it wasn’t soggy at all, which I hate when I am eating dry chili chicken. Every once in awhile I notice inconsistency with the dish(quantity, chicken/chili ratio, etc.) which is why I’m not giving it 5 stars.

First, I go to Yu’s because my wife and her friends are Chinese, and we live in Beijing about half the year — so this group wants authentic Chinese food. If anyone orders orange chicken you get the LoD(Look of Disdain) from my significant smother. I was concerned about the reviews saying ownership had changed and almost suggested another place on New Years Eve, but thankfully we stuck with our original plan. I cannot tell you which dishes we ordered other than the cumin lamb(my choice). Everything else involving the dinner was done in a language that wasn’t English, so I remained out of the loop on decisions. The food was excellent, and instantly reminded me of a typical meal in Beijing. Staff was super nice and made sure we were happy. My friends did comment that there were new owners, but everybody left satisfied.

I asked for the dry beef rice noodle dish($ 10), assuming it was the beef chow fun. The lady on the phone said it wasn’t. I asked her what dry beef rice noodle was then, and she put some other person on the phone. He said it had beef that was dry and rice noodle… anyway I ended up getting it. It was just like beef chow fun and absolutely delicious. It had lots of flavor and was not dry at all. It does not have that much beef but I guess it’s ok because the rice noodles are my favorite part of the dish anyway. I would definitely go back for this dish!

The food is a little pricey for the portion, but it’s usually pretty good. Salted & Seared Pork $ 11 — Favorite of the night — This dish had a lot of good flavors and ingredients. The pork is sliced and fried with black bean sauce, leeks, and jalapenos. Crispy Chicken in Garlic Sauce $ 11 — This dish was ok for me but might be good if you like just 1 ingredient(chicken). The chicken pieces are breaded and deep fried and then covered in sauce. I like to have other veggies with my protein. Scallop in Garlic Sauce $ 15 — I like scallops and all, but this dish didn’t do much for me. The flavors were good, but I like the pork dish best.
