Frank Gironda Salon & Day Spa

If I could give ZERO stars I would. I took my daughter here to get her eyebrows done before graduation. We usually go to Benefit in Downtown Naperville but ran out of time and this place was close to home. Let me start by saying my daughter has been getting her brows done for two years and has never had any problems. Well that is until today. They literally ripped the skin right off her eyelid! Yes I will post a picture. When I brought my daughter back in the salon after looking at her face in the car, they gave me a song and dance about that if she used a medication that this could happen. Well it hasen’t happened in two years and she doesn’t put medication on her eyes!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!

I would not normally walk out of a salon and immediately Unilocal a review but this was needed. I had two appointments — one was great with Giovanni. — a young talent. My second appointment never happened because they incorrectly booked, left me sitting for 30 minutes with no updates, and could have cared less about the time of anyone waiting. I won’t be back because your money is no good here.
If they would have at a minimum explained the wait or that the service wasn’t going to happen I wouldn’t be writing this review. Unfortunate

Mark is the best stylist EVER. I’ve been going to him for several years and he exceptionally knowledgeable and understands styles and trends. Super talented. Honest.

Jodie did my color and highlights today. I have a beautiful sombre in a shade that looks great with my skin tone. My hair feels like silk! The bill was less than the same services at Ulta and I couldn’t be happier with the results. I didn’t get a cut this time but the woman who came out when I was waiting had a cut from Jodie that was really swank. I rudely stared at her unblinking as she came out, her hair was that good! Everyone had a very professional demeanor too.

«Hello Beautiful!» That is exactly what you will be saying after a visit here with Jess. I have been going here for over three years now (maybe more… I can’t quite recall). I have never had a bad haircut and every time I have left here and received wonderful compliments. I have even decided to color my hair (which up until recent was not touched for over 10 years). Best decision and again so many compliments. Jess is very knowledgeable on products and trustworthy with new styles.

If you live in Naperville and need a massage make sure you try to get in with Maria! She may be booked for weeks but there’s a reason for that. She’s the best!

Came in with a bad haircut that needed repair. Emily came to the rescue and now I’m a fan!

Maria is absolutely amazing! Everyone in my family sees her for massages. I have terrible chronic migraines and after an hour with her I leave with no headache and end up feeling 10 times better than I did before! I can honestly say I wouldn’t go to anyone else! I’ve also had one facial here before and that was more than satisfactory! I highly recommend coming to Frank Gironda in Naperville!

I see Danielle for my haircuts — I have long course hair. She’s so nice, does a great job, and my hair feels wonderful afterwards. I get a consistent experience there every time I go. Parking is really easy too.

Been going to Frank’s for a long time and I highly recommend Ashley. Great gal, great cut and great times.

I have been taking my toddler here for haircuts since he was about 1 ½.
We started off with Luis who was AhMazing! Both as a stylist & as a person in general. My son sat still for him & let him cut his hair. Which made me wonder what kind of magic spell Luis had cast over my son since my son won’t even sit still for me to comb his hair.
Luis is no longer there (Insert sad face emoji here)
On the Plus side now we have been seeing Alicia & she is equally amazing in talent & has her own personal magic that gets my son to sit still for his entire cut while still… I can not even comb his hair.
Thank goodness the cut he has requires me to preform only a few swift ninja like moves with a comb or brush & he’s set for the day.
The salon is neat, clean & the receptionists are always friendly.
We never have to sit & wait forever & neither Alicia or Luis have run back & forth between us & other clients like a lot of salons do.
In & Out… Nice & Neat.

AELAN nail technician. Is an amazing manicurist. She is very proffecional and my manicure last 7 – 10 days. Her attention to detail and I never feel rushed is appreciated. I am picky I have been to other nail technician but she truly is the best they have. Thank you. AELAN.

I have been going to Twylla for 3 years now. I started with her after a horrific color and cut experience elsewhere. Not only did she FIX my hair, but she has guided me through good hair decisions since! She can always take the random things I say and pictures I show her and turn it into something I am insanely happy with! Her knowledge and expertise are evident in her consultations and she really cares about client satisfaction! My hair has never looked better or been in better condition. :)

Olivia is amazing. My hair only listens to her! I’ve been seeing her for five years– from color change to ombré long to short my hair has been through a lot with her. Frank Gironda slightly pricey but bring some friends along (and refer them to Olivia!) and you are rewarded for your loyalty. Seriously… My hair never looks as good as it does after Olivia.

I had an appointment today with Olivia for a haircut and she was amazing! She brought life back to my rather lifeless hair. She listened to everything I said and gave me an amazing cut!!! It can be challenging when you have longer hair to get a great cut especially when people usually want to take too much off. I maintained most of my length and now have full and healthy hair!

So I really semi-​like this salon. Good olé’ Mario Tricoci has spoiled me though. So after a year of trying my local Frank Gironda, I went back to my 25 minute drive to Tricoci instead. I do think the stylists, colorists and even receptionists are better at Tricoci. I always feel rushed at check-​in and can’t find a place to sit at Frank Gironda. My color got messed up here and I was devastated (my hair is actually straw right now), and I didn’t feel like the management cared all that much. They agreed to fix it for free but I felt like that wasnt the point. Its about trust. After spending hundreds at this salon and my hair color eventually wrecked, I went back to my old salon Tricoci and my hair is getting healthy again. Bottom line: if you get your hair colored, stick with 1 colorist for years and go with a salon that has top-​notch people.
The reason I give 4 stars is that I still bring my daughter here because she likes her colorist (she gets a 1 step bleach process that is very simple). So… to each their own I guess!

This was my second time coming here. Ryna was my stylist, and she was the bomb! I’m not lying — I have long hair and I was in there for about 4 hours, and she was a trooper! I got my hair colored, washed, cut, highlights, and she was sweet, engaging, and she made my hair look so good! I told her I was impressed at how much patience is required for this. I mean, it took four hours to do my hair! She didn’t show signs of exhaustion, lol! I’m definitely going back to her next time I go back!

when i had first moved to plainfield, i would drive down 59 and always see frank gironda. but before trying this place, i tried the head hair stylist at michael graham. he decided to totally thin my beautiful indian hair out which took forever to recover from :(anyways, i gave him one more try and this time he totally screwed up my bangs (im so picky about my bangs)
anyways, i stopped in at frank gironda and asked if anyone could fix my bangs asap (i was leaving out of the country the next day) and thats when i met Jodi. Jodi totally read my mind and has cut my hair ever since. Theres just no pretentiousness at all here and its so refreshing. i was actually scared to voice my opinion at other places but Jodi made me feel so comfortable. she cuts my layers so well and i always have great conversations with her :)
since then, i’ve moved to chicago where i have had other haircuts, but i recently found myself back to Jodi for a bang trim ;)
