Private event review — chef’s table: I got marrrrrriiiiieeeeedddddd. Yep. It’s true. I did it. There was only 8 of us and it was perfect. Partially because the staff at The Pearl and the chef’s table, mostly because I love my husband. If you are having a smaller private event like a wedding, birthday, etc. this is a no brainer. For reals, yo. The chef’s table space — outdoors and perfect. A nice garden area to enjoy cocktails and then a covered table at the kitchen doors for the meal. The provided two different set menu’s at two different price points to choose from. We opted for the baller one and there was so much food. Asian influenced, but not spicy and focusing on Nantucket fresh ingredients. Everything that went in my mouth was perfection. I was tipsy, so I won’t go into detail. — Lobster rangoon. YEP! Sounds a bit pedestrian, but oh so lobstery and creamy. — I preferred the chili beef vs the fried lobster. Both dishes are large, but that chili beef had such great flavor profiling — cloyingly sweet. — Cocktails are strong and tasty. — Service was impeccable. — Dessert tasting wasn’t as strong, but I was so full by the time it came. Those chocolate chip cookies tho, those chocolate chip cookies. So much more food was involved this night that I won’t go into detail. All I do know is that if you are searching Unilocal for an upscale, memorable night out, The Pearl is a great spot for all that and more. It will cost you, but well worth the price tag. I look forward to celebrating my anniversary year after year at this thoughtful and innovative restaurant. Bonus: Thanks for the champagne and thanks to the hostess and servers for being so helpful and lovely.

Absolute favorite Nantucket dining experience — can’t be beat. Any time we have a special occasion while on the island this is my go-to. Amazing, fresh food with an oceanic bend and an Asian twist. Most recently we tried the lobster rangoon — everyone was floored by the flavor. I had the softshell crab entrée with baby bok choi which was delicious. Boyfriend had the bbq beef which was seasoned to perfection. Parents had the vegetarian/buddha’s delight dish with tofu which they LOVE, but I find it to be a little too gingery for my taste. Still, everything was great. Normally I will dress up for The Pearl, and you’ll see well-dressed couples dining beside you… but since this is Nantucket(where my dad famously fought a parking ticket in court wearing board shorts) there will be some sloppily dressed people who simply don’t care about dress codes. I’d advise a little nicer than usual — but you’d never catch me in front of a judge in my bathing suit.

The most amazing meal while on vacation in Nantucket! We had the lobster Rangoon, shrimp dumplings, lettuce wraps, tuna pizza and 60 seconds steak. Nothing bad to say about anything! Absolutely amazing!!! Highly recommend!

We had an enjoyable evening at the pearl. We were seated and served promptly. Our waiter was efficient. Personally, i dont enjoy when the waiter tells us the specials of the day. I wish restaurants could just print off quick little add ons. I love reading menus and going over all the options and ingredients, not trying to intently listen in a noisy restaurant to a waiter with a thick accent describing so many things, i felt exhausted by the time he was done. Food was excellent, shishito peppers, dumplings, and we split the haddock, which was amazing. They charged us for splitting an entrée, which seems really incredibly cheap, which i guess i should be happy, i found something in nantucket that was cheap !!!

The Pearl is one of the more hip restaurants on Nantucket. The eclectic, Asian influenced menu is executed very well. I really enjoyed their Black Magic Noodle dish and their lobster is fantastic. I would highly recommend The Pearl if you’re looking for a less traditional dinning experience on Nantucket.

Transport to another world when you enter this Asian heaven that could easily be in NY or LA. We had edamame to start, then tuna pizza and lettuce rollups, followed by the lobster rangoon and potstickers. Hot and out of this world flavorful, and a complete change of pace from other Nantucket offerings.

The food was good. Maybe a little on the cliché side. The stuff that had«heat» really didn’t have a bite at all. The chicken buns were good and probably the most original thing on the menu. More like a pulled chicken than actual dim sum. The«award winning tuna martini» was good, but quite cliché. Shisito peppers were bland. Wok fried lobster was ok to good but not sure again what the rage was. Maybe I’m a food snob. But I will give four stars for food like this. However when I saw the bill I was a bit outraged. Not spectacular enough for a price tag like that that’s for sure!!!

Have eaten at the Pearl many times over the years and had found it to be one of Nantucket’s best. Unfortunately on our recent visit we were very disappointed. The service was indifferent and not up to the standards of a restaurant in its price class. Share plates were served without serving utensils, no bread offered, portions were skimpy and the plates were not well presented. We found it to be a shadow of its former self.

Not that they need another great review but they deserve one! Every time we go to Pearl we are happy customers. Servers are top notch. Food is creative and delicious. Love it.

Where do I start?! My FAVORITE place in NANTUCKET!!! the front server wasn’t the nicest or helpful but it is what it is. Our SOM was amazing! We told him what we wanted as far as red summer wines and he hit it out of the park! It was a new Pinot noir that just came in and was delicious! Our waiter was awesome! Offered great choices and attended to us the right way. Now to the food! AAAAHHHMAZING! All the photos that I posted were great! I honestly loved everything! And the music was a great fun atmosphere. I will be thinking about this food again and can’t wait to come back! Need to Ty the deserts but I’m sure that will be great as well!

Generally good food but way overpriced. If you like this type of Asian fusion you are much better off going to Nautilus which had better dishes overall and bit less expensive in a more relaxed(although more rushed) atmosphere.

The hype on this place had me salivating to get here, but the price inspired reluctance in myself who makes far less than 100K a year. Considering how expensive it is to dine here, I needed a good reason to lay my hard earned cash down. Restaurant Week was my reason. It’s an extremely fancy restaurant, one you’d expect to diner at in a big city. Lovely setting even if it is crammed into a tiny place. Definitely has the air of an expensive restaurant. Made sure to book an early reservation as a coworker and I both had to work the overnight shift. We arrived a bit early and had a drink as they weren’t quite ready for seating. Bartender was nice and mixes a mean cocktail. We made the move to our table and went with the $ 45 dinner course for restaurant week. I felt like our waiter was professional and the food good. The portion size is on par with high end restaurants(read: small, well presented, and expensive)., and all of it was good. Of the four courses, the dessert was my favorite. It was the first thing I spotted when looking at the menu and it was as delicious as I expected. Fancy chocolate cookies and milk? E’ery day, all day, sign me up. The tuna«pizza» also was a hit for me. Not what I was expecting and quite good. This place is a special occasion kinda spot if you’re of a lower tax bracket, but worth the money.

Owners Seth and Angela Raynor are the perfect team. Angela is warm and welcoming checking on all guests in front of house. Seth is busy working delicious creations in the back of the house. You can’t go wrong with anything you order. Some personal favorites; lobster Rangoons, tuna martini, Vietnamese lettuce wraps, wok fried lobster and Cilantro beef BBQ.

Try to have as many different plates as you can because each plate will Amaze you! Portions are generous so sharing could be a good way to do it. The lobster rangoons are amazing, the lettuce wraps are to die for and the wok fried lobster is superb. We also had the pots tickers and they were also good but nothing extraordinary. The place is beautiful, the staff is really nice and the ambiance is lovely. A true gem!

One of few good restaurants in Nantucket. Need reservation as the place is full all the time. Dreamy cloud sake was interesting but nothing exciting. The only chicken entrée is good as long as you eat it with the different sauces. My wife took Buddha delight which she said was nice and spicy. The highlight of the dinner was the desert with butterscotch ice cream. The service and the staff are very professional and friendly. Need to visit at least once to see what all the hype is about.

Highly recommended and deserving of its praise. The Pearl has a beautiful décor and allows for romantic meals, intimate celebrations, and great dining. While lively, it is not loud and conversations can be had with ease. Drawing from its Asian influences, the Pearl does seafood in its own unique way. To start, my wife had a delicious arugula salad while I had the hamachi cocktail. The yellowtail was fresh and dressed with a savory and slightly spicy mayo. The peking style duck was delicious and served with amazing scallion pancakes. My wife’s fish was outstanding. The desserts really shine at the Pearl. The pineapple rice pudding is a fresh take on a traditional dessert. The strawberry short cake replaced the traditional biscuit with carmelized mochi rice cake. Both were outstandings and left us craving more. There were several other dessert offerings that caught our eyes as well. Overall, the Pearl lives up to the hype and is a must-go when in Nantucket.
