Lunch on the patio for 3. Best thing was the lobster. Girlfriend got a 1.5 pound lobster and was worth the price. I got the lobster roll Conn. style, and it was disappointing. Amount of meat was decent, but seemed like it may be frozen not fresh. Third item was the lobster BLT. Honestly, this was a pathetic attempt at cuisine. Bread was stale, amount of lobster salad was minuscule and there was almost no bacon. Patio atmosphere was nice. Service was below average as well on a less than busy Saturday. Won’t be back.

Great classic seafood spot. The chowder, scallops with ginger sauce, and the lobster scampi are out of this world!

Casual eats but a little pricey for what you get. I would compare the inside to a sports bar so bringing kids would be perfectly fine. The service was totally on point, Brian was great and attentive. We started with the seared sea scallops in ginger cream sauce, which were amazing. For my meal, I had the bay scallop roll, which wasn’t much in the flavor department. If you want higher caliber food with a classier atmosphere, head into downtown… but if you want loud and casual, this is your place!

The haddock was very dry. The blonde female bartender was extremely unprofessional and rude. I would not come back here — there are far better places to dine.

Food was good but fried and service was good. Prices must’ve went up because they had written in menus and there prices didn’t reflect what was online. It was family friendly which was nice. We ordered two different scallop dishes and they were good($ 26 – 31)Fries were okay. Shrimp my daughter ordered was good but was $ 10. Beer was $ 7 on tap and mixed drink $ 10. We spent $ 100 on a meal that was really only worth $ 50. Probably won’t go back since there are fancier places in the same price range but if your wanting a quiet place no wait there you go.

We had the Connecticut style lobster roll which was fantastic. It’s served warm with drawn butter and had large chunks of lobster. It’s a bit of a walk from the main drag on Nantucket, but worth it for the food.

Nicest staff and super dog friendly. We went two nights in a row — they let our Frenchie sit with us in their patio. Even on the 2nd night when no one was outside — they let us sit there and the waiter was more than happy to accommodate us! We had the clam chowder which was pretty good plus the lobsters(boiled) which came with two sides — perfect amount of food for a nice early dinner. Great casual easy dining no frills — just the way we like it. Great place to just relax and chill out. Bonus for such good waiters(both nights) cant stress how friendly and nice they were!

The Lobster Trap has trapped us! It was toward the last leg of our trip on Nantucket, and we were getting hungry and of course needed to test out some Nantucket lobster. This restaurant just happen to be on the way as we stopped at Parchment Paper, which was right down the street. I ordered waldorf lobster salad entrée, and it didn’t disapoint. I wanted something without the traditional lobster roll involved and I am happy to report the salad was crisp and refreshing, the adding large portion of lobster was wonderful and the salad also had a bit of pickled veggies that made it delectable. My husband went with his favorite clam chowder, or as they say on the cape: Chowda! The lobster trap was great, easy location to the ferry docks, not very crowded, and casual. The only thing I would recommend is more restrooms, there was only 2 restrooms for the entire restaurant, and there was quite a line. P. S. Love the ‘how to eat lobster’ placemat on each table setting, fun and enjoyable to read ;)

August 2015: The food here was an unremarkable mix of likely-frozen appetizers from a big box store. This review is only on the appetizer menu, because that is all they allowed us to order from. Long story short: we had a party of 7. Restaurant claimed all open large tables inside were taken(even the multiple large empty ones that I specifically asked about). They offered we could eat outside in the bar, although, the bar just stopped serving dinner(this was 7:30 pm…). Hence, the college girls at the hostess stand continued to maintain that there were parties coming for all open tables inside, as we were stuck with mundane appetizers in the outside area, which they appeared to be trying to convert to a very un-happening club that apparently needed to be open by 8 pm sharp… Post script: I walked through the inside dining area on the way out. The large tables were still empty. The hostess girls wouldn’t make eye contact with me, and certainly offered no apology.

This is a great place for a beer and oysters. They also have amazing live music during the week in the summer.

Another great meal in Nantucket. We enjoyed steamers and a boiled lobster dinner; complete with bibs and all. Price was pretty standard for lobster… Pricey; but worth it! We chatted with their staff after our meal about my love of lobster rolls and they were kind enough to bring me a sample of theirs! Sold us on the spot as we’ve already decided to have our final meal of the vacation here(to enjoy the lobster roll of course). Great food, awesome staff(love Reggie at the bar!) and a laid back atmosphere make this a MUST for anyone visiting Nantucket.

The food was not good… Everything came out in 5 minutes. The seafood scampi was luke warm when the food arrived. I think they already boiled all the pasta before hand and then just made the sauce and poured on the pasta… Very pricey and bathroom is yucky…

Just arrived here. Wanted to try a lobster roll. Had a lobster roll and a mixed salad. The lobster roll was excellent and the salad was nicely done too. Highly recommended. Friendly service.

Had the clam chowder which was very creamy and lite. The only thing that would have been nice is if they put iron a bread bowl and gave you more.

We came here for a late dinner and it was good! It was a bit pricey for what it was, but the service was good. The atmosphere was great, it was a very beach bar type scene which was great. We had the seafood the platter and a broiled lobster, the fried cod was good, the calamari was so-so, the shrimp was normal, the lobster was a boiled lobster.

Okay Unilocalers, the joke is on me. This place could be summed up in 3 words. «NEEDSMORESALT!!» I felt I needed to make a larger dent in the lobster population in New England so based my fellow Unilocalers recommendation, I told the hubby we should go to this restaurant. Our waitress was lovely and very quick with our drinks. She was great to my girls too, making drink suggestions for them(non-alcoholic — what kind of mother do you think I am??). The service slowed down markedly after our drinks were served. Then when they brought out my girl’s food, we also got a semi-yummy basket of hot biscuits. Needless to say my kids wanted the biscuits and not their dinner. It was timed very poorly. About 25 minutes after my kids were served, out came the hubby & my entrees. You know what happens 25 minutes after a child eats and now has to wait for their parents to eat? Bedlam. Pure Bedlam. Onto the food. We had: Linguini with clams– bland, needed a lot of salt Boiled lobster — very bland, needed lots of salt and butter(with a really good lobster, you don’t need butter…) New England Clam Chowder — Bland, needed more salt Burger — okay Grilled asparagus — portion was so small it was comical Sweet potato fries — okay Cole slaw — so so, very bland The restrooms were very clean but I would not recommend this restaurant.
