Over the years, King Buffet plummeted into horrible food and horrible service. When you see the owner smash a cock roach on the wall with the shoe he removed from his own foot… it’s time to back away and leave. I don’t believe the establishment is still called King Buffet. I think the name has changed. Maybe even the management? I’m too scared to go back and check it out.

Stay away from here if at all possible. Check the city health departments reports on this place and you will probably be amazed like I was that they are still open. The food stinks. Can’t believe they haven’t been closed down.

If you’re looking for a fast Chinese buffet experience, then you’ll like King Buffet. The food is decent, the service friendly and the atmosphere is relaxing. While there are better and newer Chinese food places in town, this one is honestly the most reliable. The lunch crowds used to be killer, but now they’ve gotten into their flow. I’m always promptly seated, even during the busier hours. Price is very cheap. About $ 10 a person.(Good times for a struggling college student ;-))

My rating here is rather complicated. So let’s break it down. The service is straight up awful. Keep in mind, it’s a buffet, so it shouldn’t be very hard for the service to be great. Waitresses are inconsistent, rude, and almost never understand what you say(luckily you’re probably just ordering your drink). If they do not find your tip large enough for their expectations, they have no problem yelling at you(once again, this is a self-serve buffet, and the service was bad). A 10% tip can get you a strong negative reaction.(0 Stars) The food quality is ok. But let’s face it, you came her for the quantity not the quality. There is a pretty good variety of food available, and there’s a lot of it. The sushi is straight up bad. The pork on a stick is pretty delicious, actually.(2 — 3 Stars) The price is good for the amount of food you’re getting, not for the quality of food you’re getting. If you just get one plate, you’re getting ripped off. If you get several plates you’re getting your money’s worth.(3 — 4 stars)
