Great food and service. First time here. Will definitely go back! Husband had duck and I had Triple Delight. Spring rolls were yummy!

The place was nearly dead around lunch time on a weekday– should have taken that as a sign. The wonton soup seemed super greasy and the fried wontons they serve right when you sit down were cold and also greasy. The curry chicken had an overdose of curry and was pretty spicy and the pad Thai wasn’t anything to brag about. The only thing all 3 of my party agreed on was the egg rolls– they were good and were a nice size(a little heavy on the cabbage though).

The beef noodle soup is absolutely delicious. The service is always great and the food always comes out quick and hot. The menu has a lot of options and can satisfy any taste.

Tried the lemon chicken and it was inedible with a most bizarre fatty crust. The wife had Tangerine Beef which was very tough. Probably the worst Chinese food we’ve had in years, and yet, the place was packed. They must be starved for good Chinese in Nacogdoches. Service was good, though.

Gag! We have been to this establishment MANY times, a few misses, but mostly decent Chinese food, considering the size of town. We had stopped eating in, choosing to get the food to go, because the manager is less than friendly. The past couple of times we were less than pleased with the food. We wanted to have lunch out, so we decided to dine in, my husband ordered his«usual», a chicken dish, as he was eating he got a peace of shrimp, which he hates, he even gagged. Not a pleasant experience. Then, as I was about the last piece of chicken, I uncovered a big black hair, then I gagged. The manager was unsympathetic to our issues, we paid the bill and will NEVER eat here again.

Two of us ate here 11−1−13. We had the two for $ 19.95 deal and it was excellent. Our server treated us very well, the food was great, 2 soups, 1 appetizer, 2 entrees and 2 desserts. The entrees were very well seasoned and cooked perfect. We had broccoli beef and triple delight. Anyway, we liked our meal, we had so much we had to get large boxes to take some home for later and for under 20 bucks.

I have worked here before for almost a year, I can start by saying the Owner himself is very dedicated to the store but he has trouble keeping servers on because the size of the restaurant is huge but the business is not always there. The egg rolls are Amazing there, goes really well with the chili paste that they make themselves. Working there was never a pleasure, one of the cooks is a creep but two of them are actually relatives of the owner and do a great job! Very nice people! Despite how dirty the kitchen is and the numerous times I tried to over clean my duties(very dirty gross kitchen) the food is delicious… and I always ate the Kung Pao Chicken(with no peanuts) always fresh and so good I crave it sometimes. However, the owners wife likes to sit at the front on her cell phone and pretend like she does not know English… It kind of comes across as rude and I had guests complain. It was especially frustrating when a guest had a complaint and there was no one there to deal with it. They have no proper form of management and the service you get varies by server, there is really no proper training. If you go just expect to live with what you get, they will charge the server if you send an order back and it is very difficult to send something back. Do give it a try though! They have great Hot and Sour soup and Egg rolls! I could eat them all day! Beware though it is an all around hit or miss!

A very good Chinese restaurant. Good for an upscale dinner(compared to the other restaurants in town).

I had eaten here several times without any huge complaints. The place is spacious and décor and service is good. However, a friend of mine used to be a waiter here and he said that out of all the restaurants he has worked at, this is by far the dirtiest kitchen he has seen. EEK! Needless to say, I haven’t been there since and have no plans of returning.

I have gone here a few times… I feel like it is a hit or miss. I have gotten a shrimp meal and it was so much food and so delicious… i think it was general something. that i would go back for with the wonton soup. I have recently tried their hot and sour soup with kung poa chicken and it was a HUGE let down. They need to change their recipe entirely for their hot and sour soup… seriously stay away! The kung poa chicken was just like sweet n sour chicken with a differ sauce… Go to Peking for a better Kung Poa Chicken and Hot and Sour Soup.

This is a very good Chinese restaurant. The Kung Pao Chicken and Cashew Chicken are very good and anything else I have ever had here is good. They do a good job of not skimping on the meat like some Chinese restaurants. The service is is good and friendly.

This was my favorite place for Chinese when I lived in Nacogdoches. My dish of choice is General Tso’s chicken!

Service is good. Food is abysmal. I used to eat at Szechuan’s at least once per week and it was great. The best Chinese food in town. During the past year, the quality of the food has gradually declined to the point that Chinese frozen dinners are a step up. I really want to like Szechuan’s so I keep going back hoping that they’ve got their act together, but today was my last time. I just can’t eat their food any more. Today, my take out order was General Tso’s chicken with fried rice, hot and sour soup, and an egg roll. The soup(which I used to order by the quart because it was so good) was neither hot nor sour. In fact, it had no taste at all except for the corn starch that they use to thicken it. I had to finish making their soup at home by adding red vinegar, black pepper, red pepper flakes, and soy sauce. Also, the soup is no longer complimentary with your take out lunch combination, so I had to pay $ 1.75 extra for this goopy travesty. The egg roll fillings were good and plentiful, including a whole boiled shrimp. Unfortunately, It was fried WAY too long. Dark brown and literally dripping oil. I couldn’t eat it. It left a grease puddle on my plate. The fried rice was super salty from overuse of soy sauce and also tasted burnt. How in the hell does a Chinese place screw up RICE? The General Tso’s chicken was made from chicken breast instead of thigh, which is not a bad thing in and of itself, but somehow they managed to make the breast meat taste like chicken liver. Bitter, dry, gritty, and kind of gamey. Also over fried and burnt tasting yet soggy because it had obviously been sitting around for a long time. Since I picked it up at 11:30AM, and they open at 11, I must conclude that they gave me leftover soggy burnt crap from the night before. To top off my crappy meal, I had to immediately run to the bathroom after eating this garbage. That’s it, Szechuan Chinese Restaurant. I’m done with you. Asian City is consistently delicious and doesn’t make my ass explode, so they get my money from now on.

I had the Shrimp & Scallops in Garlic Sauce. The amount of protein in the dish was good, with about a 3:1 ratio of shrimp to bay scallops. The sauce was actually more of a pasty coating than sauce(too much thickener, maybe?). It had good taste but could have used a little more heat. I don’t usually see undercooked green bell pepper in this dish at most restaurants. Maybe I will try another dish next time. The service was very good.

I tried this based upon the other 2 reviews and I’m very disappointed. We ordered the Moo Shu Pork and General Tso’s. Both were rather bland and lacked the Asian flavors I expected. The General Tso’s was overly breaded with cornstarch and flour. We asked for the dish to be extra spicy, but there was no heat to be found! We ordered steamed rice but got fried rice instead. To top it off, the fortune cookie tasted stale. Sorry, but if you’re looking for good Chinese food, this definately isn’t the place.

Three words– Moo Shu Pork. I’ve never have Moo Shu Pork as good as they make it here and I’ve tried it at a bunch of different places. The pork is always tender, the pancakes are never dry, and all of the ingredients are expertly shredded to just the right size. This is also a fun place to get an adult beverage served in a flaming volcano cup. The novelty of that alone is enticing, but they definitely serve up some tasty drinks. There’s not usually too much of a wait, service is pretty good, and the prices are great for the large portions they serve.
