CAVEATEMPTOR!!! So frustrated! The young man working the cash register was clueless today.(Might be more of a permanent condition since he also tried to deliver pancakes to us when we told him several times no one ordered them.) He didn’t understand how to deduct the cost of the gravy we didn’t receive and apply our discount card. He presented 4 bills, and we finally paid the last one. Then Dennys mngmt tried to make our table partners pay the remaining balance. Ridiculous!!! If you can’t figure out how to do your job, suffer the consequences! Teach your people! How many times do I have to wait for you to get it right? Food was good, waitress was good, but beware of the mangement!

Ghetto place, service and food was horrible. Waste of time and money. They need to remodel this restaurant. I felt like i was in the 70s because of how the inside look even the outside. And the worst part was the smell of the restaurant. Im never gonna come back here.

Only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is because the food tasted good and didn’t take too long. But the service was horrible. I hate paying $ 2 for one cup of coffee. She never offered a refill and we hung out a little after eating to see if we could get her attention to get one togo, but no luck.

Breakfast options in this part of NRH are limited. I reluctantly agreed to the only option I could think of, namely this Denny’s. While it was a bit crowded this Sunday morning, my guess is because nearby churches were letting out, we managed to grab two seats at the rather limited counter seats quickly. While seated, something else caught my eye. A sign proclaiming, «Our delicious new Signature Diner Roasts™ come in two coffee blends: MILD and BOLD. So, no matter what your coffee preference is, we’ve got a roast for you. Also available in Decaf.» One of my pet peeves of most breakfast places is weak coffee, so bold I went. I watched carefully to see where it comes from, and while I did not notice separate carafes, the coffee was a bit better(stronger) than I was expecting. There are some surprising deals on the menu thanks to an «a la carte» structure on the«$ 2 $ 4 $ 6 $ 8» menu. I went healthy with the«Loaded Veggie Omelette» from the Fit Fate menu — Egg white omelette with fresh spinach, mushrooms, sautéed zucchini and squash, diced tomatoes and melted Swiss cheese. Served with seasonal fruit or an English Muffin. Pretty good, especially after a splash of the Cholula Hot Sauce. Oh, and that is the way Denny’s spells omelet. Thuy made up for my healthy dietary choice with the«Belgian Waffle Slam» — A golden waffle served with two eggs, two bacon strips and two sausage links. It was a decent amount of food, as I was«needed» to help finish it. Even though it was busy, service was pretty good. I’m sure sitting at the counter helped, which was OK seating, until a shake was made. The blender located here seemed way noisier than it needs to be. Thankfully only one shake was made. Bottom line: Better than I was expecting, and would visit again.

I’ve always liked Denny’s, and this location is pretty good. We actually came as a big group a few years ago the morning of my daughter’s wish trip to Disney and they were very accomodating. The food is pretty cheap; we can feed our family of five for around $ 30. The food is fine I think, nothing gourmet but its comforting. I haven’t seen any evidence of uncleanliness, but I have experienced some definite poor service. I’ve seen the servers playing on their phone or chatting with friends when I’m waiting for a refill. Last time we came in we were seated in the back corner and we were the only ones in the restaurant. Ten minutes later I realized we were forgotten and I had to go search for someone to remind them we were there. I’d still come here to eat occasionally but I do wish they’d improve their service a bit.

The service was so bad. Our server spent 30 minutes outside smoking on the back of a truck with a couple of dudes. We waited 20 minutes to get our drinks(coffee and iced tea). Why we stayed is beyond me. The hash browns were crispy so there’s that. So bad you have to just laugh.

***ROACHESAREREAL*** I hadn’t been to Denny’s since I was little, so my mother and I decided to have a change of pace from our usual IHOP and give Denny’s a more«mature» review. We went around 9pm. There were hardly any customers there so we were seated right away. The wait staff was very nice and efficient in bringing out our beverages and checking up on us as we perused the menu. You could tell the coffee had been sitting for a bit because it was on the burnt side, but we eventually were offered fresh, so it was no big deal. We ordered our food and it came out in a timely fashion just the way we desired. Overall, it wasn’t too bad. The pancakes were a little rubbery, and I could have done without so much salt pre-added, but that’s diner food for ya. Unfortunately, we were sat near the bar-top where all of the staff congregated for side-work conversation. Employees were a little loud and obnoxious discussing previous jail experiences, being under the influence of Tylenol-3 while on the job, and the health inspector coming the next day, but mom and I were able to yell at each other across the table to have decent meal conversation. We were able to some-what enjoy our food and had just requested take-out boxes when the table behind me expelled gasps and tiny squeals. Looking at my mother, her eyes widened and she abruptly inhaled air as well. I looked to where her gaze was drawn and saw the most disgusting thing: a giant cockroach was scurrying across the window sill. The little girl behind me squealed and I echoed her swiftly exiting my seat. My mother did the same and employees immediately were drawn to the scene. Apparently, this must be somewhat of a normal occurrence because the manager killed it without a shake in her voice and then tried to convince us that it «must have come from outside because of the sprinklers». Puh-leeze! There is NOEXCUSE for something like that! My mom and I left without paying our tab and with no qualms. It’s one thing to have the in the back where we can’t see them, or to find them dead, but alive and scurrying?!? Heck no! The manager and wait staff had the audacity to be upset at us walking out, but honestly, I couldn’t care less. That’s disgusting. I was willing to give the establishment another fighting chance socially, but there is no way I’m going back to a place where your meal comes with a free table-side cockroach petting zoo. If La cookaracha’s are you’re thing, then this is the Denny’s for you, but if you are a normal restauranteur, I suggest you search for a more quiet and sanitary location.

this Denny’s is just as average as any others. not very clean, service is pretty poor, and decent at best food. but… I can’t speak for everyone, but I think that’s what’s universally expected from a Denny’s. all of that being said they’ve recently added a few new menu items, lunch and breakfast, that look pretty good and seem to be healthier options.

The only reason I continue going to this location is because it’s the closest one near me. The servers are really nice, but I constantly have to chase them down to fill up the drinks and ask for my tab. It’s really become a nuisance, and I think after tonight it may be my last time at that location.

I see bad things about this restaurant all the time, but I have great food and service every time I go. Today I had the Grand Slam breakfast(thank you Rangers) and it was hot, fresh and tasty! And the service was fantastic!

The waiter we had this morning was amazing! Polite, incredibly efficient and just radiated positivity :) He brought our food out immediately(the chocolate chip pancakes and hash browns were delicious) and brought the check out promptly as we finished eating. We paid with a credit card and because the bill was only about $ 14, the check didn’t need to be signed,(Denny’s policy apparently) which meant that we couldn’t leave an additional tip via credit card. He smiled and told us not to worry about it as he had already rung up our total. But he was too amazing not to be tipped, sadly the only cash my brother or I had was his ‘lucky’ two dollar bill, we ended up leaving that because well, he deserved it. (Wish it could have been more, next time we will come prepared!) Pretty wonderful start to my day :) (I wish I had gotten his name, he had spiky dark hair and was wearing an interesting black earring, I’d recommend him if I could!)

I’m trying to find a something to say that is positive about this place… but I can’t. Food did not come out at the same time, missing items, not cooked right and tasted horrible!!! I’m not sure that was bacon. :( The cook needs to be fired as well as the manager. I will never go back to this Dennys. When the cook sends food out that is obviously badly prepared… he knows it!!! Basted eggs… or sunny side up. If the yolk is over cooked and hard as a boiled egg… the cook knows it. It is supposed to be runny. Three of the six eggs at our table was bad. Shame on the cook and shame on the management. The hash browns were cold and chewy. The pancakes where hot, but chewy. How does that happen? The menus were sticky… the seats were sticky!!! This I have to say… when we first arrived, a woman, with her back to us said.“I’ll be with you in a minute”. She was putting on lipstick and checked the rest of her makeup and then dug around in her purse. All of this with her back turned and behind the register. Wow… another server sat us. I would give zero stars if I could…

Really bad food. Went here for dinner on a Saturday with the kids. There was no one in the entire restaurant at 6:30…first sign something might be amiss. I have always liked Denny’s sandwiches so I ordered a chicken sandwich. My son ordered pancake with sausage. My sandwich was completely inedible. The onion strings on top were literally just a lump of burned grease. They brought my son bacon instead of sausage and made the correction. They did not charge for my sandwich that I did not eat. Salad my daughter ordered had a lot of brown lettuce. Maybe the breakfast here is better but I will never be back to this location. I have to add that the waitress was very nice and I tipped generously because I realize the main issue wax not her fault.

We have been here quite a few times, especially when my husband worked for the city and it was very convenient. We’ve found that we do like their food just fine. It is tasty, warm and always seems to be fresh. We do not, however, like the actual restaurant itself. The tables are always sticky and our silverware looks as if it hasn’t been washed at all. It also reeks like cigarette smoke throughout the entire building and the bathrooms are always filthy. The prices are relatively cheap, because this is after-all, Denny’s. I’d recommend to those who MUST have a decent breakfast to get a to-go order, because this place is slacking on the cleanliness level!
