My new favorite thing: Pollo Loco under 500 meals, Chix enchiladas, fresh broccoli, n rice. Tasty, healthy, fantastic for those trying to watch their girlish figures, etc. and only $ 6! This location is super small, only 4 tables. But food is on par.

Probably great if you want to take your food home. This location is so small it only fits about ten people comfortably. I counted four tables and one outside where some non patron was hanging out. The food here at this location was decent and the service seemed to match. I wasn’t impressed and love pollo loco. I will not be coming back to THIS location again

I eat at El pollo Loco all the time but this was my third time at this location, and the customer service really shined. The cashier was helpful and the manager recognized the cashier was having trouble ringing something in and was ready to help him as well as give us options for substitute items with our entrée. Victor(the manager) then came by our table as we were eating to check on how everything was. I really felt he was passionate and cared about the guests. Will definetly be returning to this location!

I’ve tried the chicken & shrimp bowl at other Pollo Loco and the shrimp was juicy and tender, however this location the shrimp aren’t edible. They were dry, hard and tough to chew! Bad seafood can kill!!! Fix this please!

The customer service here was good. I don’t know which one people are talking about but our service was great. It was our first time there and the staff had no problem explaining the menu to us. I got the avocado quesadilla and my girl go the I think the chicken tostada. I would recommend both

Logic seems to escape this place, even with specific instruction, no one know what they’re doing… asked them for extra cilantro and they give you 0. Ask them for extra meat on my burrito and they give me a burrito, with a cup of meat next to it… because when you ask for extra meat on your burrito, it’s logical to give it in a cup… last time I’m goin here…

This location is small, but they are pretty efficient usually with orders, compared to other El Pollo Locos. Limited seating there.

Worst service, smallest chicken, and 1 tortilla. I had asked if I could have a new juicy piece of chicken the guy behind the counter said it would take 20 minutes. By that time I could have gone down the street and gotten REALMEXICAN food for Cheaper and way faster. This place is too slow and way too small of chicken. Thanks I won’t be back.

This is probably one of the smallest Pollo Loco locations I have been to. There are only a couple of tables so I ALWAYS order to go. I have read some reviews about the staff here and I do not agree at all! I used to go at least twice a week and every time I went the staff was very friendly and talkative. Not once were they been rude or got my order wrong. The only reason they are getting 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the location’s size. Sometimes I would get there and the line is out the door and it gets crowded inside. That being said I never had to wait too long to get my food.

The last few visits have been a negative experience. I went over there to eat and the door was locked. A sign was posted they didn’t have any gas. Probably not their fault but that’s a first for me. It’s kind of hard to light the grill with no gas. Next visit there they actually told me they had no white meat chicken. I thought I was at a chicken restaurant. WTH? Next visit they had gas and chicken and then I got home to find I had been given the wrong side order. What can I say. Three strikes and you’re out!

Not all El Pollo Locos are created equally. If you’ve been to the one on Wilshire and Highland, you know exactly what I mean. This one doesn’t toast the tortilla and the burritos are meager in size. The salsa bar also doesn’t have the creamy cilantro salsa. I ordered the chicken avocado burrito combo and was sad to discover that the burrito was only 2⁄3 the size of what I’m used to getting at the Wilshire/Highland location and that the tortilla was cold! I was sad, indeed. But I ate it anyway.

THISISTHEWORSEELPOLLOLOCO! Now let me start by saying I LOVE El Pollo Loco, before I moved to this area I probably ate it at least twice a month. However, this location is AWFUL! I have attempted to eat at this location on at least 10 occasions. And without failure every time — after waiting in line and placing my order — I am informed that they are out of white meat. WHAT? Sometimes even after ordering, paying and waiting. This horrible service has led me to drive an extra 4 miles to the El Pollo Loco in Burbank. Well last night was the last stray. After working all day and hitting the gym, I needed food and fast, so I gave this El Pollo Loco a shot, and of course they didn’t let me down. After waiting in line and ordering my food — I was informed that they did not have any white meat. I asked to speak with a manger and informed him that I have been to this location at least 10 times and each time an informed that they are out of white meat. The manager responded by stating, that its just too hard to judge how much chicken to cook. REALLY? This location has been open for years, and you cant determine how much chicken you sell at certain hours!!! Now, I would understand if this location ran out of chicken on occasion, but every single time is not a abnormally busy night, it is just piss poor management. Or at least, if you know you don’t have your shit together, put a sign up. It would be a lot less frustrating to know when I first walk in that you don’t have what I want, then after waiting for 5 minutes in line. Further, when I have bit the bullet and ordered the dark meat(which I hate) because I have already paid for — the chicken is always pale(not the delicious brown it is supposed to be) and the salsa bar is empty and a mess. I just don’t understand how this location is allowed to operate is such disarray. I will NEVER be back to give them a shot.

Consistent food! I get lunch here once or twice a month. I’m always in and out quickly and my order is correct and really hot. The combos are the best deals. The employees are friendly. I try to get there before the lunch crowd does as the salsa bar gets messy after a few dozen people have gone through it.

This is by far the WORST El Pollo Loco I have ever been to! Since 1993 they just can’t seem to get it right and I don’t know why??? 9 times out of 10 it’s an awful and disappointing experience. I always want to give it another chance, and then when I do, I get pissed at myself for not driving all the way to the one in Burbank right next to Ashley’s Furniture. This location right next to Ralph’s ALWAYS has burnt chicken, and they always seem to have a problem when I want mixed breasts and thighs. I just don’t get it. After all these years and still the same problems. And the turn over in staff is ridiculous! Come on!!! I live right up the damn street and would like it if I didn’t have to drive 5 miles one way to the Burbank location. STOPSERVINGBURNTCHICKEN!!!

You know, I know that there are a few less than stellar reviews of this location and, per my own observation, El Pollo Loco can be a bit«hit and miss» when it comes to quality of service. In particular, service tends to be on the sluggish side, especially when there are more than a couple of people at the counter. That being said… The service at this location yesterday was pretty good! The line in front of me was moving well and my order was done within 5 minutes. Quality of the food was pretty good. The only reason that I took a star off of this review was that the staff was a bit aloof/not terribly present. Not bad, just didn’t seem particularly interested in their job(understandable – I mean after all, it’s a food service job). PS – not sure what they do differently than other locations, but these were, by far, the best BRC burritos I’ve had from this chain!

As far as food goes, El Pollo Loco, all the locations I’ve been to, is Awesome! They have new buffalo wings, which are yummy, and top-notch flan, not to mention the awesome chicken. This review is based on this LOCATION. This is physically the closest EPL to me, so that’s why I go there, but the location is kind of shady after dark, there’s always somebody soliciting outside the door, and usually a few hoodlums hanging out(no offense if you are a hoodlum). There are only a couple of tables and they are all crammed up, you can’t comfortably eat there, and like Dale said, its kind of filthy. Now back to those new wings, they have an offer where you can add 10 wings for $ 5 to your combo or family meal. I’m a big dude, so I ordered the 4 piece meal and wanted to add the wings, however I wasn’t allowed because it wasn’t either a combo nor a family meal, WTF?! A. The 4pc meal is pricier than a combo, so its better for business if I buy that, and B. who’s to say I can’t feed a small family with a 4 piece?! The cashier was not only cute(Alicia, msg me if you’re reading this), but very friendly about it, however the assistant mgr. was a total d**k! I wanted to try the wings, so I ponied up the extra $ 2 to get the order. I’m sad because the place I’m going to doesn’t have an EPL, so tonight could have very well been my swan song, wish I hadn’t had to struggle to try out the new wings :(
